Available for auction is a set of 18” x 8.5” Mercedes-Benz Aero II wheels. The seller purchased the wheels sometime in the early 2000’s and has since stored them in a temperature-controlled space. The wheels were produced for Mercedes-Benz by BBS in Germany and feature a forged two-piece design.
These BBS wheels were made for the W140 Mercedes-Benz and lower production AMG models. Constructed with an alloy center securely bolted to a finished barrel, each wheel showcases offset, sizing, and BBS etchings on its interior barrel. The seller states the wheels are in great original condition with some handling wear.
Please verify fitment on your intended application before bidding. Don’t miss the opportunity to complete your period-correct look with these beautiful Mercedes-Benz Aero II wheels. The buyer is responsible for shipping, shipping insurance, handling, and transactional fees.

@junkfoodie please note I didn't mean what you are asking is too far off. Rather I meant what I'd like to pay and what you are asking is too far apart.
Hi Christopher, seems you are a reasonable / friendly seller but I think the prices might be too far off. I can't speak on behalf of the seller but I pretty much maxed out on my bid. I'm anticipating about another $1000-$1200 on top of the purchase price for shipping and a refinishing from a reputable wheel shop.
I am happy to work with everybody on the price. These wheels have not been made in this configuration for quite some time. I always say, "nice brings a discount". If you have a project, you can submit an offer and I would be more than happy to work with you.
Thank you again, Christopher

As an update, I wanted to let you know that each wheel is 23.7 pounds.
They will be double boxed and sent UPS at my exact cost for the packing and shipping with insurance.
Again, I’m here to help with any additional photographs or information if anybody needs it.
Thank you again, Christopher
I wanted to let everybody know that I will be around for the end of the auction. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
The minor handling wear I am told will come out when the face of the wheel is lightly polished. As many of you know, I do not like to “package” my auctions.
The only thing I have done is to steam them, but I never want to change the condition for that will be up to the new owner.
I did check some of the two piece bolts, and they all appear to be with a clear factory “Loctite”. These wheels have been kept for over 20 years with my other project parts for safe keeping.
Again, please let me know if I can help. Thank you, Christopher.

@Fastjimmy thank you for the question, and it really is a small world. The bolt pattern is the same to my knowledge. I originally purchased these to go on my 2001 E55 4matic wagon (one of 22 cars built for the German market). Your pre-facelift 210 should not be a problem at all.
Maybe I am strange, but my plan was to have them disassembled and I was going to paint the centers body color. If you do end up purchasing the wheels, I would love to see photos.
Please let me know if I can help. Thank you, Christopher
Would these fit on a 1999 E55 Wagon?
