Hello DLC, thank you for the message.
I would package the cat in a soft protective casing first of all followed by a full bubble wrap enclosure. It would then be laid onto a stable surface and a box would be constructed from that point. The box would be filled with lightweight foam to avoid movement internally.
I would send the cat via UPS and I have just entered approximate dimensions and weight just now on the UPS website and the price is around $200.
