The third generation of Audi’s acclaimed S4 sports sedan, the B6 version was introduced in 2003 featuring a new 4.2-liter V8 engine rated at 340 HP. This 2004 sedan model is finished in Light Silver Metallic over Ebony leather upholstery and features a 6-speed manual transmission sending power to all four wheels. Acquired by the seller in 2023, the S4 has remained registered in Arkansas since new and is now being offered for auction with approximately 26k miles showing on the odometer.
The B6 S4 is distinguished from a standard Audi A4 by its front grille design, lower door trims, and aluminum-finished mirror caps. This example is finished in Light Silver Metallic and rides on factory 18” Avus wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires from 2022. Other equipment includes xenon headlamps, fog lights, dual chrome exhaust tips, a trunk lid spoiler, bright window moldings, and removable window tints. The CARFAX report shows an accident occurred in July 2004 and repairs are said to have been made to the right rear door and quarter panel. The seller notes the rear bumper was refinished under prior ownership and some curb marks are present on the wheels. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The Ebony leather interior includes heated and power-adjustable Recaro front sport seats, wood trim, and a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel. Other amenities include a sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, auto-dimming mirrors, seat memory settings, cruise control, an Audi Symphony CD stereo, and a Bose sound system. The seller notes that a window regulator was recently replaced, and some wear is present on the left front door release.
This S4 carries a naturally aspirated all-aluminum 4.2-liter V8 engine with five valves per cylinder, double overhead camshafts, variable inlet timing, and a variable air intake. Up to 340 HP and 302 lb.-ft of torque is sent to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and Quattro AWD system. The S4 comes standard with a variable electronic steering rack, an Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP), a lowered sport-tuned suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes with larger calipers and rotors than the standard A4. The seller notes recent service includes new front wheel bearings, a right-side valve cover, a thermostat replacement, and a new battery.
This sale will include a window sticker, two keys, and a clean title.

My pleasure @faugrad good luck with bidding!
@Gcitron - Thanks for the quick and thorough response.
Good morning yes I took it off eBay to post it here. No timing noise on start up. Have cold start video. No faults stored for anything. The valve cover was replaced due to a leak. It was the only one replaced because it was the only one leaking. I looked into replacing the other for symmetry but the part has been dropped by Audi. The other side still doesn’t show any signs of a leak. Thanks for the best wishes and good luck!
Bid in the amount of $2,004
Is that the same one that was listed on Ebay recently? Any timing chain noise during start up? I know the mileage is low but the timing chain tensioner issue can strike at any time with these (ask me how I know). Was the right valve cover replaced due to leaks? Any reason why the left side wasn't done at the same time as they usually tend to go at the same time or at least close to each other?
Nice example here and best of luck with the auction.
Good evening and welcome to my listing. I’m heartbroken to have to sell this beautiful gem of a vehicle. I have accepted an opportunity out of state and I am having to downsize my automotive collection. This car has been a pleasure to own and has so much life for the next owner. Please comment with any questions that I can answer for you
