An homage to the Porsche Carrera 4x4 (953) variant that competed at the 1984 Paris-Dakar Rally, the new 911 Dakar is one of the most unique Porsche models yet. It is based on the Carrera 4 GTS Coupe with extensive off-road racing optimizations including a variable-height raised suspension, underbody protection, rear-axle steering, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), Fuchs-style wheels with Pirelli All-Terrain tires, lightweight windows, a carbon fiber GT3 hood, and a robust cooling system borrowed from the Turbo S. This 2023 example is one of only 2,500 produced in total and comes finished in Shade Green Metallic over a Black leather and Race-Tex interior with Shade Green stitching. It was optioned with a center console lid in Race-Tex with an embossed Porsche logo, “911 Dakar” under-door puddle light projectors, Surround View, heated 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus, and a roof basket with factory accessories. Driven approximately 600 miles from new, this 911 Dakar is now being offered for auction by its owner out of Utah.
The 911 Dakar is optimized for off-roading with stainless-steel underbody skid plates, black wheel arch extensions, and black side skirts with stainless-steel inlays. It features a carbon fiber hood borrowed from the 992 GT3 as well as a rear diffuser, lightweight and noise-insulated glass, black Sport Exhaust tailpipes, window trim and rear decklid slats in Satin Black, red brake calipers, LED-Matrix Design headlights in Black, and a fixed rear spoiler. It rides on Fuchs-style 19”/20” 911 Dakar aluminum wheels dressed in Pirelli Scorpion All-Terrain Plus tires. This example is finished in Shade Green Metallic, a special new Porsche color debuted for the 911 Dakar model. It comes equipped with an optional roof basket featuring integrated LED auxiliary lights, a gas can and jug, recovery boards, and a Porsche Active 2.0 duffel bag. The seller notes the car has been professionally wrapped and clear paint protection film and treated with an application of ceramic coating. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Trimmed in Black leather and Race-Tex upholstery, the 911 Dakar’s cockpit comes without rear seats and features a heated GT Sport steering wheel, an extended dashboard in leather, pedals and PDK gear selector in aluminum, and interior trim inlays in Black Brushed Aluminum. This example was ordered with deviated stitching in Shade Green, a center console lid in Race-Tex with an embossed Porsche logo, Surround View, “911 Dakar” under-door puddle light projectors, a limited-edition number, painted keys, and heated 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus. Standard features include BOSE Surround Sound System, Comfort Access, Ambient Lighting, 2-zone automatic climate control, ParkAssist (front and rear) with a reversing camera, Traffic Sign Recognition, cruise control, auto-dimming mirrors, and Power Steering Plus.
A twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 473 HP to all four wheels through an 8-speed PDK transmission. The 911 Dakar comes standard with a 50mm-raised Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) setup as well as a front and rear axle lift system, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+), rear-axle steering, the Sport Chrono Package, Sport Exhaust System, a Turbo S cooling system, and an Off-Road driving mode. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in as little as 3.2 seconds and the car boasts a maximum ground clearance of 6.3”. This example remains under the coverage of its original factory warranty.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, a spare tire, the optional Experience Package accessories, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This car is in perfect condition and truly a collector’s car.”

@Xodius great question. Yes the whole car was PPF wrapped by Porsche before I picked the car up. After I picked up the car I had the whole car ceramic coated by a private company that specializes in detailing and ceramic coatings.

@Seller Has the whole car been protected with paint protect film (PPF)? If not, which body panels are covered?
I have about 50% dirt / mud miles on mine and am loving it. reach for the keys every day, kids love it. have been lucky not to need the tracks or the shovel yet. GLWS

This probably is the perfect 911 to be driven for its use as intended. I truly hope the buyer uses it for roads that a standard GTS or 4S can’t go, and my 4S targa already drives well on a chunk of dirt road every day and does well in snow up to 5 inches (more if it’s powdery). Looking forward to what becomes of this beauty!

Supermoo thank you for the comment. Porsche specifically asked me and others to hang onto these limited addition cars for at least 6 months.
I wish there was a way to show people this car live. If you haven’t seen one they are so beautiful for a design and color stand point.
I figured Porsche wouldn't be happy to see these cars already on the used market but then the buy and flip seems to have happened with the new 3RS as well. I think this is the first Dakar I have seen at auction, so will be interesting to see how it goes. GLWA.
