@SteeringWheelFL thanks for the answers. I'm still learning about these cars and I had to look up why a hard roof is desirable, instead of the glass pano roof which you can get for not much more money with the very popular premium PKG. I guess the answer is about 50lbs of weight savings? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, I wondered why you didn't opt for the performance PKG? The PDCC, rear steer and the clock cost pretty much the same as the performance pkg, but the performance pkg affords you the more popular sports Chrono clock, and you get other performance enhancements such as the torque vectoring. This was one of the reasons I said the specs are interesting, but perhaps I'm just uneducated in this department.
OTOH, you don’t buy these cars for the range. You buy them for the superb performance and the technology and the joy the car brings from driving it. It’s not a run of the mill Tesla, it’s a high performance EV built by people who would not have it any other way. As much a joy to drive as any of my ICE Porsches have been, and with the superb build quality that comes with the brand. On a road trip, I’m ready for a stretch after 2 1/2 hrs and in the time I’ve taken to offload the last cup of coffee and buy another, it’s charged and ready to continue. Buy without regret.
@Lightning4570 As mentioned, range depends on your right foot.
That said, I do tend to drive mine like my 911 Turbo, never light footing it.
@SteeringWheelFL Have to take exception based on personal experience with my ‘23 Taycan GTS, same battery of course. On rare occasions when I charge to 100%, my range history after 11k miles shows 240mi and never exceeds 3 mi/ kWh even when I select Range mode. I love the car, will buy another, and am a long time Porsche guy hoping for them to succeed with electrics, but we need to be realistic about range with the 93kW battery.
@stevwang This was a special ordered car from Porsche of Hilton Head. It has been kept in a climate controlled garage since new and has never been subject to any storms. The current location is Bluffton, South Carolina.
The options are fantastic and the GTS is really a driver's car with an aero styled hard roof.
Was this a dealership spec'd car? some of the choices are interesting...
it says location is FL. can you confirm that this car wasn't affected by the recent storms and doesn't have water intrusion of any kind? Thanks!
Bid in the amount of $45,000
@giant we never encountered range anxiety.
Sorry for the late reply. The range is 300 miles depending on your right foot. And no PPF
Any PPF?
Hi SterringWheelFL What's the stated range and what has been your experience with actual range per complete charge? Thanks
This is a fantastic example of what a Taycan is all about. You will not be disappointed. The GTS is really the pinnacle of the Taycan.
