Porsche unveiled the 991.2 GT3 RS in February 2018, touted as the most potent naturally aspirated 911 ever built. Its 4.0-liter flat-six engine sings to 9k-RPM, improving upon the already impressive capabilities of the standard GT3 with advancements in power, aerodynamics, and handling. This 2019 model, specified with the desirable Weissach Package, features a Black exterior over a Black extended leather and Alcantara interior with the GT Silver Details Interior Package. It includes Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, a Front Axle Lift System, numerous exclusive options, and Custom Tailoring options (special wishes that require further communication). Configured at an MSRP of nearly $272k, this generously equipped Canadian-market example is now being offered for auction with just 9,300 kilometers (less than 6k miles) on the odometer.
The 991.2 GT3 RS is distinguishable from the GT3 by its bodywork borrowed from the 911 Turbo including side air intakes as well as louvered front fenders and a rear wing. This example is finished in Black contrasted with yellow ceramic brakes fitted beneath gold-finished 20”/21” center-locking GT3 RS wheels. Optional details include tinted LED main headlights in Black including the Porsche Dynamic Light System along with painted headlight cleaning system covers, while the Weissach Package adds an exposed carbon-fiber hood, roof, and rear wing with “PORSCHE” lettering on top. The Front Axle Lift System was also selected, enabling the nose of the vehicle to be raised for extra clearance over obstacles. The seller adds that full SunTek paint protection film was applied upon the vehicle’s initial delivery. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed in Black leather and Alcantara upholstery complemented by the GT Silver Details Interior Package. Additional highlights include the Dashboard Extended Leather Interior Package, leather-covered steering column with contrast stitching, Interior Trim Package with decorative stitching, embroidered details, Alcantara sun visors, Porsche-logoed Alcantara storage compartment lid, Racing Yellow seat belts, White instrument dials, carbon fiber illuminated door sill guards, and the Light Design Package. The seats and seatbelts are said to have been ceramic coated. A complete list of options is provided below:
The naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine revs up to 9k-RPM while producing 520 HP. The rear wheels are driven through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission providing acceleration from 0-60 MPH in as little as 3 seconds with a top speed of nearly 200 MPH. The Weissach Package adds carbon fiber sway bars, coupling rods, and body components which provide considerable weight savings. The optional Sport Chrono Package and ceramic brakes (PCCB) are equipped, while standard performance features include rear-wheel steering, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). Additionally, an aftermarket Shark Werks exhaust system has been fitted. The seller notes that this vehicle has been strictly serviced by the original selling authorized Porsche dealer, Porsche of Halifax, Canada.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a car cover, and a battery charger.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a highly-spec’d GT3 RS with only two owners, purchased new and serviced by Porsche of Halifax! I will cover customs fees and import duty upon the sale."

@Vantageautos Cool, Alex Ross (Sharky) and his shop are 15min. from my house. CA. V.C. 27151 forbids exhaust mods that are above 95dB. It would be simple enough to install a dundonmotorsports "quiet" center muffler - that would be needed anyway to run at Laguna Seca's 92dB track days (~$6500 installed)...
@bob_brennan please be aware that it has a Shark werks Center delete exhaust , and the owner no longer has the OE Center muffler , the rest of the OE exhaust is intact and operating valves and stock side mufflers
@Vantageautos good find on the MPH dial. It would probably need calibration? "Expensive" is a relative word for a $280K car. My non-expert interpretation of Customers & Border Protection Form HS_7 Box 2B is that the car can be imported without it. For street use, FMVSS § 571.101 Standard No. 101 requires MPH -- I don't know where or how that is enforced. Any modification to the odometer is a red flag at the DMV. My guess is that the best approach would be to import it, try to register it, and if DMV inspection fails, to then get a Porsche Authorized dealer to modify the instrument cluster. Same with CARB - try to pass smog in CA - if pass, done. If not, begin the journey to modify the catalytic converter, oxygen sensors, etc. If all else fails, just trailer it to & from the track :).
@bob_brennan I see you can buy the MPH dial replacement kit online at reasonable price , I’ve just been told by the Dealer it’s labor intense to pull the gauge cluster out and change it .
I've been searching online. My non-expert opinion is that the car can be imported to the US. To register, it must meet California Air Resource Board standards - I don't know how to prove that. For Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, the speedometer must show MPH - I don't know if the digital display is sufficient.
// DETAILS //
The California DMV, in the "Verification of Vehicle" inspection, they check that the "Vehicle meets US EPA standards and California standards" (CARB). The odometer declaration can be in km or Miles. They are particular about the VIN, the Engine VIN, and that no modifications have been done (air intake, exhaust).
For importation, if the manufacturer’s letter states that the vehicle complies with all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards except for those pertaining to the speedometer or headlights, the vehicle can still be imported as a conforming motor vehicle under Box 2B of the HS_7 "Declaration" :
HS_7 Box 2B says : "certified by its original manufacturer as conforming to all applicable Canadian motor vehicle safety standards and its original manufacturer confirms that the vehicle conforms to all applicable U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety, Bumper, and Theft Prevention Standards (or that it conforms to all such standards except for the labeling requirements of Standards Nos. 101 ..."
Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, § 571.101 Standard No. 101; Controls and Displays, Table 1, "providing the requirements for speedometers" must be in MPH, or MPH and km/h. If the speedometer is graduated in miles per hour and in kilometers per hour, the identification must be “MPH and km/h” in any combination of upper and lowercase letters.
Thus, speedometers must show miles per hour (as “MPH”) and may optionally show kilometers per hour. I don't know if a digital display is "good enough".
@bob_brennan California's CARB is way beyond what I understand , I know there is no emission compliance label on the car that would say anything for the U.S
We are told that the letter from the manufacturer takes place of the emission and D.O.T labels needed for the car to be imported into the U.S . I can’t commit to it passing Cali’s laws . What I understand is the car is identical to the U.S cars other than it has a daytime running light and speedo is in KMpH
@Vantageautos thank you for your response, appreciated!
The letter covers Federal EPA requirements. For California, the car needs to be "CARB" or "50 State" certified. What does the "emissions compliance label" say?
This is the EPA regulation: "P100A6AS.TXT" :: "California Emission Requirements: If you are a resident of, principally drive your car in, register or intend to sell vehicles in the State of California, you will need to comply with California's emission requirements in addition to the Federal emission requirements."
@bob_brennan I’ve Attached Porsche NA import letter to the photos , so you would have no issue registering the car in the US , I would check with DMV to see if they require the speedo to be changed , it shows the speed in Kmph on the Analog gauge , which would be difficult and costly to change , but you can easily get the digital portion of the speedo to change to MPH by pushing a button ,
@lowflying the 4 yr service has not been completed

@bob_brennan hi Bob ,
We would pay for the 2.8% and $750 in fees along with the gas guzzler tax on the car and deal with TFX international for shipping and broker logistics
You as the buyer would be responsible for paying the transport / Shipping portion we have got some quotes from TFX and to give you an idea Palm Springs CA was $4500
TFX will door to door deliver it for us , just be aware that it may take up to 3 weeks for them to come to Atlantic Canada for pickup of the car because they are headquartered in Ontario Canada and Halifax is not on their weekly route .
We are offering this so it takes the uncertainty out of buying a Canadian car
I will post a Picture of the compliance letter from Porsche to show its eligible for import into the U.S
@Vantageautos @Vantageautos, could you clarify "customs paperwork along with fees and duty" with an example? Let's say the car goes for $280K USD, the 2.5% customs fee is $7K and gas guzzler tax is $1.3K - would you cover $7K or $8.3K? Shipping through TFX, say ~$4K would go to you, and then you would take care of this for door to door delivery? thx, bob
@Vantageautos @Vantageautos, does the Underhood Emission Label indicate that it conforms to US EPA standards, specifically California emission standards? Are there any other regulations to import the car to California? thank you!
Bid in the amount of $111,111
Has the 4 year service been completed?
@rmrmd1956 thanks man , if you have any concerns about myself the car or the seller you can contact Brad Sellers at Porsche of Halifax he can vouch for us
@Vantageautos Ahh, that makes sense. It is a beautiful spec, best I’ve ever seen imho, you have excellent taste
@rmrmd1956 The car was sold to me originally , it was a special order I held the car in my company which had a Canadian Dealer Lic , I sold it back to Porsche of Halifax a year later and they sold it to its current customer
@rmrmd1956 yes $271k is the MSRP in Cdn dollars
Is the listed $271,815.00 MSRP in CAD?
Carfax confuses me. Did Porsche Halifax keep and drive the car for 1 year before selling it to a retail owner?
Bid in the amount of $50,000
We will cover the customs paperwork along with fees and duty For winning bidder .
We use TFX international for enclosed shipping and brokering over the border please message me for Shipping quote will need your state , city and zip
