We are pleased to present this highly collectible 2018 Porsche 991.2 GT3 Cup PCA Edition. Built as the 2nd car in a limited production run of 5 examples for 2018, this GT3 Cup was offered through Porsche Motorsports North America as a highly exclusive race car paying tribute to the Porsche Club of America. This 4.0 L GT3 was purchased new by the current owner who is said to have added only 3 hours of runtime at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas. Sporting its signature Club Racing colors, this PCA Edition is now being offered out of Iowa accompanied by its original factory parts package.
All PCA Editions are configured in one of two colorways, this example being finished White (C9A) with contrasting Club Blau accents. The other offering consists of the same colors in the opposite scheme. Lightweight track-oriented features include polycarbonate windows, vented GT3 RS carbon fiber front fenders, a carbon fiber “double-bubble” roof panel with FIA safety hatch, and carbon fiber GT3 R doors and mirrors. A larger GT3 front splitter is utilized along with an adjustable carbon fiber rear wing and underbody paneling to maximize aerodynamics. This PCA Edition rides on 18” center-lock wheels finished in Club Blau with contrasting red stripes. Hoosier tires are currently installed sized 275/35 front and 315/40 rear.
The stripped lightweight interior is supported by an FIA-certified weld-in roll cage. Accommodations include a single Recaro carbon fiber racing bucket seat with fore/aft adjustment, an ergonomic driver-oriented center console, an adjustable steering column with steering angle sensor, 6-point safety harnesses, and an Alcantara flat-bottom steering wheel with race controls and paddle shifters. Information is provided through a Cosworth LCD color display and this GT3 also features a fire suppression system and a built-in air jack system.
The naturally aspirated 4.0 L flat-six engine features dry-sump lubrication, variable cam phasing, a single-mass flywheel, and a Supercup exhaust with twin tailpipes. 485 HP is sent to the rear wheels through a Porsche 6-speed sequential dog-type transmission with pneumatic gearshift activation, a triple-disc metal racing clutch, and mechanical differential lock. Other equipment includes a fully adjustable racing suspension with spherical bearings, and a 12-way adjustable Bosch M4 ABS dual-circuit brake system with 6-piston front and 4-piston rear aluminum monobloc calipers. Approximately 3 hours have been logged and this 991.2 is ready to be enjoyed.
The sale of this rare GT3 Cup PCA Edition race car will include a car cover, a bill of sale, and the factory spare parts package with the following items:
