Using the body molds from Robertson Racing's Ford GT endurance race car, the GT-R is a high-performance component car manufactured by Superlite of Detroit based around an all-aluminum semi-monocoque chassis. This particular Superlite GT-R was assembled and finished by Allan Zakari of Connecticut, a well-known builder in the Superlite community. This is GT-R #1 from Superlite and Allan’s personal build which was partially completed in 2016. The car was then purchased by the current owner in 2019 with 575 miles, who subsequently commissioned Allan to make significant changes to the car to improve street driving and overall fit and finish. The process took approximately 7 months, and the owner took delivery of the car in May 2020. Finished in Fire Pearl Red with Silver racing stripes and painted black rocker panels, this 2016 Superlite GT-R is now being offered at auction by its seller out of Pennsylvania showing just over 1k miles on the odometer.
Commissioned by the current owner, the exterior was refinished in Fire Pearl Red with silver racing stripes, black rocker panels, a custom rear bumper delete panel, and flush mount carbon fiber exhaust trim. The door hinges were upgraded, the fenders, wheel wells, and front splitter were modified to show less wheel gap, and the taillights were swapped for H-Craft Ford GT-style versions, in addition to a vent fitted on the rear hatch, H-Craft wheel well liners, wireless door actuators, and a custom front tow hook were installed. The car also has a hydraulic front lift to raise the front end. The full exterior was covered in Xpel Ultimate Plus paint protection film, and the seller reports some minor road-going wear to the front bumper, slight abrasion to the PPF where the doors close, and a small scuff on the film where the engine cover closes. Detailed images are provided in the gallery. The 19” Forgestar wheels are fastened with upgraded ARP wheel studs and were mounted with Nitto Invo tires within the last 2k miles.
The cockpit features a pair of Tillett carbon fiber B-5 racing seats, a Tilton pedal set, and a Raptor Pro wireless steering wheel. Custom-made components include an H-Craft center console, an H-Craft three-piece Ford GT-style door cards with speakers, a soft-feel painted dashboard, a covered fiberglass headliner, A-pillar cage covers, and carpeted rear bulkhead. Amenities include Vintage Air heating and air conditioning, an upgraded shifter, a touchscreen head unit with Apple Carplay, cupholders, an 9.88” X1PRO touchscreen rearview mirror, dashcam, and reverse camera, an additional front-facing camera, and an Infinity Box power management system. The seller notes a Racetronics traction control system has been installed but is not currently set up.
This Superlite GT-R derives power from a GM LS3 376 crate engine with Canton baffled racing oil pan, mid-rise manifold, custom air intake, and custom headers and exhaust, producing around 525 HP. The rear wheels are driven through a Graziano 6-speed manual transaxle with drop gears that are said to manage the engine’s torque and allow for easier street driving. Stopping power is provided by 4-piston front and rear Brembo brake calipers with vented Brembo rotors and custom CNC-bent stainless steel brake lines, and a custom Wilwood electronic parking brake. Upon acquisition in 2020, the seller is said to have exchanged all fluids, and an oil service was performed in April of 2022.
This sale will include a clean title, some service documentation, a battery charging system, a gated shift plate to replace the currently booted shifter, spare batteries for the X-Pro wireless steering wheel, and spare remotes for the door actuators.

@baowsnar21 if back out this way at some point shoot me a message. Happy to show the car.
@baowsnar21 I wish I’d have known this was going on the market sooner. I was just in Butler PA visiting family two weeks ago, and would’ve loved to have taken a look at it
Surprised this didn’t see some action at the end. $165k sounds about right. GLWS
It’s worth what you want. Sick car
Thanks to all those who bid.
Waiting for the result, to see if my day has been ruined or not lol

@racedeck can’t answer that since I’m not the original owner. I do know that the LS leaves plenty of room to work in this chassis.
Interesting build! Out of curiosity, why go with the LS over a Ford product ( coyote, voodoo, etc?
@TubeGuy I’ll see if I can make one Monday when back in town
Wow. It would be great to see a POV video driving it. Beautiful car.
@JimHawkins thanks for the compliments and feedback. Intention was to have it as split duty between track and rallies. So wanted some creature comforts to make longer rallies more bearable.
Took delivery during COVID so no track time in 2020, but enjoyed doubling the mileage on it. Started working internationally in 2021 so only put around 100 or so miles on it last year. That’s one of the primary reasons I’m looking at selling as I haven’t been around to enjoy it as much the last year or so. I would love it to go to someone who will be able to enjoy it / track it on a more routine basis.
Cold start was after being out of town for 4 weeks, so she starts up with no issue. Wish I had gotten a few more driving videos to share with folks as makes me smile like a 10 year old in a toy store. It’s so analog that it makes for an amazing driving experience. Might try to get driving videos on Monday or Tuesday if the weather cooperates.
Traction control just needs the LED display plugged back in and to go through the calibration process. You need the display to adjust it to where you want it to kick in at basically. Can see more information about it on Racetronics site. Haven’t had any traction issues with the current setup, so I just never took the time to do the final setup. Again though I haven’t had it at the track where the TC would be beneficial.
Speakers in the doors. Apple Carplay in the head unit. Cup holders. And never been tracked. I think you bought the wrong car, my friend. The only place one of these should be is on the track. I think the car is absolutely gorgeous, but were it mine, it would definitely see some track time. I'm no Ken Miles, but this car was meant for things that are not safe or legal on the roads. Love LOVE the video with the cold start, esp the part at the end with the echo in that concrete canyon. I'm curious about the traction control - it is installed, and functions (I assume) but isn't calibrated and the display to interact with it isn't installed? GLWA.

@WBill07 No, car does not have airbags. I don’t believe Superlite offers them.
Does the car have any airbags?

Hi folks and welcome to my auction. I've proudly owned this car for the past two years and I am happy to answer any questions you might have.
Current mileage is 1,279.
The car does has Racetronics Traction Control installed. There was an issue with the LED display for it prior to me taking delivery, so the car was delivered without it being calibrated and the display was shipped directly to me a few weeks later. In the interim I found that with the LS3/525 and 345 rear tires that wasn't an immediate need for it. Therefore I never installed the display/did the final calibration, but kept it on hand in the event that more power was added to the car down the line.
Car has never been tracked.
