@JAB12 The car is going to be put up on Deal Tank for $ 140,000

  • JAB12 (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

@Unclebob59 Thanks that makes sense. I am not the seller, but I do know that the high bid was still low for such a unique car. Manual Transmission, X51 kit plus CXX high spec to boot is unusual. Needs someone who will appreciate all of the above. My garage is full already, for now. Good luck to seller on DT as well.

  • Unclebob59 (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

@JAB12 the car was owned by Porsche of North America and used to take around to dealers showing off the CXX program, it was photographed and I saw it in marketing materials. I replaced the chin spoiler because I think it went in and out of delivery trailers all the time and it was pretty banged up, was not driven but in great shape.

What are you looking to get out of it?

  • JAB12 (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

@allthingsporsches $127K was not going to cut it for this car. Hope it finds a good home or higher trade in value somewhere. They don't build them like they used to at CXX.

  • JAB12 (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

@Unclebob59 Please share the story on the personalized door sills text. Or is it that the car was already spec'd when you bought it from MMC?

I was the original owner, purchased from Manhattan Motor Cars at 259 miles on the odometer, this is an incredible Targa, regret selling it but oh well. The next owner will absolutely love it, so many perfect little details, the pinnacle of Porsche CXX build quality. I upgraded the chin spoiler, such a simple upgrade with a great result. Congratulations in advance to the new owner.

@gpmotors I do not have a report. The car has never been abused or tracked. The next owner will be very pleased with this car in every way. The car has an appointment for an oil change next Monday. It will be thoroughly checked over and anything detected will be corrected under the CPO Warranty in effect until April of 2022.

  • gpmotors (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

    Is a DME report available?

  • JJensen (seller) 3 years, 8 monthsago

@TKAD they are the same wheels as the 2016 Carter’s Club Coupe. To the best of my knowledge they came with the car. This car is a one off build, expect to see options and equipment that is rarely seen. As I mentioned in a previous post, I am not back in town until Saturday.

  • TKAD (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

To the best of my recollection, these wheels weren't available to be ordered as an option, but only sourced via aftermarket - can you confirm they are OEM (will have a Porsche Part # on the backside the wheel spoke)?

  • JJensen (seller) 3 years, 8 monthsago

@FinnytheJRT9 yes they are both heated and ventilated. You can clearly see the switches on the center counsel.

  • FinnytheJRT9 (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

@JJensen okay thanks for the update

  • JJensen (seller) 3 years, 8 monthsago

@FinnytheJRT9 Sorry, I am out of town and don’t get back in town until after the auctions close. BTW the engine sounds wonderful !

@JAB12 The Targa Top on this car is black.

  • JAB12 (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

@JJensen Yes, they changed the rules for the personalized door sills message text on 992 orders. ( Ask me how I know). Is the Targa top Black? One would only hope the cosmetics on the Heritage Edition 992 Targa can balance a NA special order X51 high spec manual transmission example such as this one. I hope your incoming 992 Targa is also MT. But we suffer from the same ordeal. Want to have them all, can't keep them all. I'm on the 992 order waiting boat as well, if not I would most likely be paying you a visit before the auction ends. This is a one off and should fetch its well deserved price, if not here then out on the market before your new targa arrives. GLWS!

  • JJensen (seller) 3 years, 8 monthsago

@JAB12 the car has no modifications and is bone stock. It has several options that you will almost never see. The Statement on the door jamb is a special request and I was told that Porsche will never put the exact worded Statement in duplicate on another car. So, this is truly a "one of one" car for the true Porsche collector/enthusiast. I hope my incoming 1 of 300 produced Porsche Heritage Edition Targa car gives me the joy this one has.

  • JAB12 (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

With a CPO until 2022 and that mileage, this is going to get all the money. @JJensen: do you know if that extended lower front lip came with the car? I have never seen that variation before in the exterior sport design facia, front or rear, nor side skirts. It looks great and compliments the car very well a la 997TT. GLWA.

  • BarryLe (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

@JJensen @JJensen: I am totally in love with your Targa. I just don't know how to value a 2014 Targa 4S with $70,000.00 worth of options rarely, if ever, seen on another 991.1. I am in Boca Raton and an easy 70 minute drive to Naples. I may want to see and drive the car. Like you, I am anticipating ordering a 2021 Targa 4GTS with a manual transmission as soon as they become available.

  • JJensen (seller) 3 years, 8 monthsago

I do own several 911’s including a 2019 GT3 Touring and a 2008 GT3RS and I can tell you this car makes me smile every time I drive it. It auto blips the downshifts and the power band is amazing. The reason I decided to sell it is that I have a new 2021 Heritage Targa coming in January. Similar power, but turbo charged. I am a huge fan of normally aspirated 911’s. I hope I am not making a mistake by selling this one ! ?

  • BarryLe (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

@countryclubfl @countryclubfl: That is an excellent point. My GTS does have a sport exhaust as standard and it sounds fairly good. Having driven a 991.1 with the power kit, I can say that you can feel the extra 30 horsepower in my GTS. This car is no doubt fantastic and it should do very well at auction.

  • countryclubfl (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

@BarryLe you aren’t factoring in that the normally aspirated engine in this car is far more sought after, sounds better and undisputedly will be worth well more than the 2017-2019 models in time as they are much more visceral

  • BarryLe (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

By way of comparison, I have a very well optioned 2017 991.2 GTS Cab with manual transmission that stickered at $150,000.00. The Targa does cost a few thousand dollars more than a Cab but a GTS Cab costs considerably more than a Targa. This car does have a Baumeister but the rest of the option money is in the power kit and the leather parts everywhere!!! Typically, the cost of these options is returned at resale at ten cents on the dollar. This is such a spectacular car that it will be interesting to see how the auction turns out. My 991.2 GTS has 30 more horsepower, sits lower on its suspension, and has centerlock wheels. Although I truly love this car, I am not ready to give up my GTS to trade.

  • Cherryblock (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

@BarryLe According to my quick research on vin analytics this is in fact the highest MSRP 4STarga and wow what a spec! Looks spectacular in every respect! https://vinanalytics.com/viewpdf.php?vin=WP0BB2A99GS136735&token=8bbdbb0879a19854d8f55f9f60277fa5c717e28bddf69ab18e21b9913e35f238

  • JJensen (seller) 3 years, 8 monthsago

@DMH Thank you for your kind observation. Regards, Jim

  • DMH (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

This vehicle is pristine. I looked at it last weekend.

  • dgpnaples (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

I agree with Barry, well optioned car, and I live in Naples! Very tempting, especially with the 7 speed manual. I have an 08 Carrera S with a 6 speed and wouldn't have it any other way.

  • BarryLe (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

Spectacular build. Perhaps the heaviest optioned 991 I have ever seen. I am tempted to sell my 2017 991.2 GTS Cab to buy this Targa.
