We are pleased to present this one-of-a-kind 2016 Porsche GT3 RS finished in paint-to-sample Liquid Chrome Blue Metallic over a black leather interior with carbon fiber and deviated stitching. Highlighting an extensive list of options totaling over $449k, this bespoke 2016 example was specially commissioned for renowned Porsche collector Jerry Seinfeld. Sold by Jerry through Canepa to the current owner in December of 2019, this GT3 RS now resides in a prominent New York collection where it has been kept in immaculate condition ever since. Approximately 1,490 miles from new, this absolutely stunning RS is the perfect choice for a discerning Porsche collector in search of something truly special.
This 991 features a one-off paint-to-sample Liquid Chrome Blue Metallic finish. Offered previously on the 918 Spyder, this Exclusive Manufaktor color is well known for its incredible blue and silver hues. The finish is said to remain in as-new condition with Suntek paint protection film applied over the entire vehicle. Porsche’s Special Wishes Department was called upon to create a factory rear wing delete, resulting in a ducktail-like shape reminiscent of the legendary 2.7 RS. A standard GT wing is also included and easy to reinstall should the owner desire extra downforce. Yellow PCCB ceramic brake calipers accentuate the factory satin center lock GT3 wheels which are dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
Inside, the driver is situated in a gorgeous black leather and Alcantara interior with carbon fiber details and extensive deviated stitching throughout the cabin. This GT3 RS showcases over $250k in exclusive factory options including:
This GT3 RS is equipped a naturally aspirated 4.0 L flat-six engine which revs up to 8800 RPM while producing 500 HP. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission making for a 0-60 time of approximately 3 seconds. Designed for the track, this GT3 RS utilizes lightweight components including a carbon fiber hood, front fenders and rear engine cover as well as a magnesium roof. Factory performance features include rear axle steering, PCCB ceramic composite brakes, the Sport Chrono Package and a center-mounted titanium rear muffler. Last serviced by Canepa in 2019 at 833 miles, this RS is up to date on all due maintenance and is being offered for auction in collector-grade condition.
The sale of this one of a kind GT3 RS will include a set of two keys, original books, service records, a clean Carfax report and tools for the rear wing. Representing what may be the most highly-configured GT3 RS in the world, this 2016 example is a Porsche collector’s dream come true.

@LloydChristmas Hello and thank you for the comment. We understand how that can be confusing. On the day that the auction ended several weeks ago, the seller had a reserve over $300k and was not ready to accept a bid under $300k. The seller contacted us this week indicating that he would like to find the car a home and would be flexible on price. We were able to get one of the top bidders (who have all moved on) to agree to buy the vehicle at $275k.
Hope this helps.
Someone educate me. This sold for $275k when there were bids to $298k?
Sold for $275,000
Offer in the amount of $275,000
@kecho No trades - cash buyers only. Any other questions let me know.
is the seller open trades plus cash?
@LloydChristmas does everyone "REALLY" think "jerry" paid sticker? I super highly doubt it!
@9964spd so why don't you buy it then?
@kecho That is incorrect - the car was a RESERVE transaction - should you wish to put a bid in, do it through the Deal Tank. Thank you and happy to answer any other questions.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is a NO RESERVE auction right?? This car will be sold to the highest bidder right....
Bid in the amount of $298,000

Based on a typical 16 RS being worth $25k-$30k under list, anything under $400k is super reasonable.

Bid in the amount of $277,500
@JakeMacZ ???????? Welp, you can't win if you don't play, heh!
This car has been serviced more, had more oil changes than my 16,000 997.2. I hope the technicians are saving, filtering and reusing the oil. I just don't get why it's going in for so much services, outside of regular state mandated emission certifications. ...Oil change recommendation for a car that hasn't clocked 100 miles, let alone Porsche recommended intervals is pissing money ...even for Jerry.
@westcraft77 Agreed. After all, IT'S ONLY MONEY ...RIGHT!
@solanowale Long odds either way. But for me the lotteries are a religious act. I PRAY the lottery!
There are many collector garages with $50+ million in cars. Dare I say, this is a bargain for the right person. Without a doubt the most beautiful modern Porsche I have ever seen in perfect timing to be equipped with the Dual Clutch transmission. Looks wide, this car could hold its own in any Ferrari or bugatti collection. Even to a modest collector, this is a wonderful piece of Porsche art and performance. No matter what, where or who it winds up with... what a special machine to own and enjoy however that person sees fit.
@LloydChristmas ...Strong super-hot coffee in the morning has similar effect!
I can picture Jerry up late one night back in 2016 consuming some fine spirits and hopping on the Porsche configurator site and building his ultimate, cost no object GT3RS. Then waking the next morning to find out he accidentally hit the "order" button.
@JakeMacZ YOu'd have better luck with Powerball! ????????
@Wolf7508 Definitely an amazing spec car. Colour is stunning. Definitely no fender-bender candidate, or I'd tear up like a baby when it's returned colour mismatched.
@vengerider @Sberger6 Similar experience with his narrow-body 993 twin-turbo. Bespoked but outta me range. Would've been a good collection, but I drive me Porsches into the ground as recommended by Ferdinand Porsche.
@LloydChristmas Must be finest of Savile Row English or Milano tailoring, because it's hard to spot. One lucky person will cough out their lunch money for optioned out GT3 RS that's nothing but lipstick on track-ready bull.

The window sticker clearly states base 2016 GT3RS as $175,900, paint to sample as $5,500. It's the $217k custom tailoring that gets this car to it's $450k total. I'd love to know the details of a custom tailoring package that costs more than the car itself.
Beautiful one-off example regardless.
Bid in the amount of $230,000
Canepa originally listed the paint as a $170k option, which is listed as part of the special wishes. Hope this helps.
Bid in the amount of $225,000
@RTHPorsche Looks to me that the PTS is $5500 and not part of the $217k. If you add up all the options plus the special wishes you get the full MSRP. Maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, don't let my posts detract from the auction or car. It is amazing.
@vengerider @Sberger6
It's not the wing that cost close to $200,000, it's the special paint for the car - it is one off paint similar to that of one 918. Take a look at the options list on the window sticker.
@kecho I am funny, but not THAT funny and have money, but not THAT much money! I almost bought one of Seinfelds cars many years ago, a PTS blue 996 GT2. In retrospect, I should have bought it as it was the only one ever painted that color but I passed not wanting to spend the extra money on a color.
So let me get this straight. A 911 GT3 RS costs $175,900 and the rear wing on this car costs $217, 515?
@kecho they offered to Jerry Seinfeld. No part number, they are $215k. Just call the factory they will get you a set. Tell them Jerry sent you.
@Motors it is on the window sticker.
It’s almost like they made a GT3 RS Touring.
@Motors it was done at factory or so I think I read...
I remember pictures of this car with a wing when it was new. Can you provide paperwork the removal of the wing was part of the special wishes department or was it simply aftermarket? Thanks
Finest GT3RS build to date, regardless of the production year. Simply perfect. Can someone please tell me if Porsche has ever offered those cool little rubber ends that covert the wing option into a ducktail conversion? If so, got a part number?
Bid in the amount of $189,500
@Wolf7508 Jerry no longer owns the car - it is simply a stunning piece of art. I encourage you to bid. Any other questions let me know.
@CurtGT3RS Car was purchased in December 2019 from Canepa - they did oil and checked entire car but I do not have records. I have known Canepa owner for years and they are trusted and respected. The car was transported to NYC to Manhattan Motor Cars where they did the inspection. Car is in immaculate condition. Any other questions let me know.
$217.5 K for 'custom tailoring'. Looks like Jerry got 'nipped & tucked'. But an extremely impressive build! I've been lusting after a midnight blue metallic GT-3 Touring with a ducktail spoiler and a full dark blue leather interior. But if it were to double the price of the vehicle that would be impractical. Come on MegaMillions!!!

How did Canepa service the car in 2019? Looks like it was in New York? Can you post the Canepa receipt?
This is the coolest GT3 RS I have ever seen hats off what a build.
Bid in the amount of $70,000
I never liked the 991 GT3RS, but omg, I just love this particular example. Of course they had to add a $217k redesign package to make me like it lol :)
Bid in the amount of $60,000
Wow! Porsche took Jerry to the cleaners on that build. Love the paint color, reminds me of Polar Silver.
Can we talk about the “custom tailoring” $217.5k? What exactly does that entail?
Bid in the amount of $50,000
