AHA! That explains it. Thanks.
@WRENCH.56 It depends on the brand of the paint meter and what measurement setting it uses. My meter was set to micron. 5.0 mil = 127 micron.
Odd…I’ve seen a whole lot of paint readings in the 5.0 +/- range on somewhat older Porsches.
Did something change in the paints for 2nd gen Caymans?
@WRENCH.56 The car has not been wrapped. The paint readings are absolutely what they should read for a car that is all original paint without paint work.
The paint depth readings seem high. Has the car been fully wrapped in PPF?
Has there been a re-paint?
@halvkd The headliner is not sagging and the door cards are not warped.

This car would make an awesome beginner track car. PDK perfect!
Thanks for the responses. The 981 headliners were prone to detach in the back corners, and the door cards could warp. Either of those present on the car? Doesn't look like it, but can't see the back corners of the headliner near the hatch. Thx.
@halvkd The car is as my client bought it from the dealership. They may have replaced the wheels from new but I really don't know.
That mark in the paint by the license plate hasn't been touched up. I can easily have it repaired.
That is a scuff on the front bumper also hasn't been touched up. Also an easy repair.
The car doesn't have a dent in the seat bottom.
I may register to bid on this Cayman, but a few questions:
The wheels are 19", though they're represented in the description and VIN sheet as 20". Please advise.
Has the bumper paint blemish by the license plate been touched up or is the plastic of the bumper stretched and hence the paint texture changed?
Also, the paint scuff behind the wheel, is that through the paint?
Is the dent in the driver seat bottom permanent, or was it just from setting something there temporarily?
Thanks in advance for the responses.
Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.
I am happy to answer any questions anyone may have. I just added paint meter readings showing that the car is all original paint. I bought the car of an older gentleman that only sold the car as it was hard for him to drive. As you will see on the Carfax it has excellent service history.
