Showing only 14k miles on the odometer while remaining in exceptional overall condition, this 981 is now being offered by its seller in Illinois accompanied by a clean title and Carfax report.
Said to have always been garage kept and only driven in ideal conditions, the Carmine Red finish is reported to be in absolutely pristine condition (detailed images are provided in the photos gallery). Factory optioned details on this example include a painted safety rollbar and 19” Boxster S III wheels which are currently dressed in healthy Goodyear Eagle F1 tires.
Inside, this 981 has been configured with a Luxor Beige interior featuring 2-way Sport Seats Plus in leather. Other options include a SportDesign steering wheel, the smoking package, Bose Surround Sound System, and the Convenience Package which adds heated seats and dual-zone automatic climate control. All gauges and accessories are reported to be fully functional and the cabin is said to be in exemplary condition.
This 2015 example is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.4 L flat-six engine paired with a desirable 6-speed manual transmission. 315 HP and 266 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels providing for a 0-60 time of approximately 5 seconds and a top speed of over 170 MPH. A CPO status was previously issued by an authorized Porsche dealership in 2019, and the seller indicates this Boxster S is to be in excellent driving condition with all routine service up to date.
This sale will include a set of 2 keys, books, tools, and a clean title. If you are in search of a mid-engine 2 seater sports car, this beautifully maintained Boxster S is not to be missed.

@Fresnofile Good question. I don't know but suspect it already has run out. I am going to check on this, however. Thanks for asking.

@WRENCH.56 I usually end my bids with 232, the model on my plane. Alas, I've never won either. Maybe it's time for a new plan?
when does the CPO run out? or has it already?
yeah, it's just a silly thing I do with model numbers and bidding for good luck.
Alas, I've never won any bids with that trick.
I see what you did there, Wrench :)

@ghejna No. The bracket connects to the tow bar receiver on the front of the car. It comes off very easily to go thru car washes, or it can come completely off the car and the cover plate for the tow bar receiver can simply be put back on. If you visit USMillworks.com you can see how it all works. I have the quick disconnect, lightweight model. In Illinois and especially Chicago a front license is required or you may get a ticket. In a prior Porsche, I owned I did in fact get such a ticket on a side street no less.
Was the front bumper drilled for the plate?
@WRENCH.56 I've been responding through the comment reply box. Is there some other mailbox I'm unaware of? I have a call into Pcarmarket and am awaiting a callback.
Please check your “Contact Seller” mailbox.
I have twice attempted to contact you, but got no response. Thanks
@WRENCH.56 I was sort of thinking that was the case also.
@WgeoffS I suspected that the car's first owner may have indeed been the dealership. I had a client who was the owner of a huge dealership. He would lease cars to himself, maybe officially, maybe informally. In any case, I benefitted by getting three Audi A6 Quatros from the guy and seem to remember being titled as the first owner of each car. But then again, I'm old (but not yet in the way) and my mind may be going fuzzy.
@WRENCH.56 As far as I can decipher there were 3 owners (per the Carfax Report). Sorry, but beyond that I have no actual knowledge. 1) It appears that Prime Porsche Audi offered the car for sale on 5/30/19 as a Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned vehicle. 2) On 7/3/2019 there was a new owner reported. Apparently, that was Ferrari Maserati of Fort Lauderdale. 3) They then sold it on 3/28/2020 to Ultimo Motors in IL. Sorry I can't be of more help. I'm thinking it might have been used as an executive car by the dealership ??
@DFried - I'll try this again. It seems to be working now. The car was sold by the original dealer, Prime Porsche Audi, MA, as a Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned on 5/30/2019. It was then registered on 7/03/2019 apparently by Ferrari Maserati of Fort Lauderdale. From there it appears to have been sold to Ultimo Motors, IL, where I bought it on 7/3/2020. Hope this helps.
@ghejna - I have not been to Napleton or any certified Porsche service shop. The car was serviced by Ultimo and I've only put 500 miles or so on it. It appears to be fine in all respects to me - runs great, all electronics work, etc. I've decided to buy a new house and don't want to also carry the Porsche payment.

Has the car been to a local Porsche dealer? You are very close to Napleton. You have had the car for a little over 3 months. Why the quick sale.
As I read the dreaded and frequently undependable Carfax report, it would appear that certainly two, possibly three of the previous owners were actually auto dealerships. I know that some states require non-first time dealerships to register as vehicle owners when they take "used" cars into their inventory. Please clarify how many "previous owners" actually owned and cared for it.
It's hard to believe that such a beautiful and fun to drive car could be trading hands so frequently.
No
@DFried @DFried. I sent you an answer but I don't see it showing up on the comment screen. Did you get it? Thanks.
What the beginning and end dates for the Porsche CPO??
I’m happy to answer any questions.
