Available for auction is an authentic full-size BMW i8 display model. Created by BMW and distributed to dealerships worldwide for promotional purposes, this 1:1 scale replica was utilized to showcase the plug-in hybrid sports car prior to its official release in 2014. The current owner acquired this particular model from BMW of Solon, Ohio, has since been displayed in the living room of the owners house. 
The model closely resembles the fully functional production version, boasting a fiberglass body with a stunning Ionic Silver Metallic finish complemented by Frozen Blue accents. 
It features operational lighting controlled by a concealed module beneath the passenger side rocker panel. The authentic 20" BMW Style 470 W-spoke alloy wheels, adorned with Bridgestone Potenza tires, rest in front of cross-drilled brake rotors and silver BMW-logo calipers.

5000lbs? Weights about the same as my 90’s Philips plasma tv, and I had it hanging on the wall?

@HatMan the height is about the same as an actual i8. I will upload additional pictures so you can get a better perspective (next to an actual i8). It weighs approximately 500 pounds.
