Paring a desirable 6-speed manual transmission with its mid-mounted flat-six, this 2014 Porsche 981 Cayman S comes finished in White over an Agate and Pebble Grey interior as part of the Leather Package. It was also generously optioned with 20” Carrera S wheels in Satin Platinum, Porsche Active Suspension Management, Porsche Torque Vectoring, Bi-Xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System, the Sport Exhaust System, Sport Chrono Package, Premium Package with 14-way Power Sport Seats, Infotainment Package with BOSE Surround Sound, and more. Showing approximately 44k miles on the odometer, this 981 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas.
Compared to the Cayman, the “S” model offers red-painted brake calipers and a dual-tipped central exhaust outlet. This example comes finished in White and features optional 20” Carrera S wheels in Satin Platinum with colored Porsche-crested center caps. Additional options include Bi-Xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) and Sport Exhaust tailpipes. Slight paint imperfections and chips on the windshield are noted, and a recent inspection notes small cracks on the left side taillight housing. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report noting minor front-end damage in May 2018.
The cabin presents two-tone Agate Grey and Pebble Grey upholstery as part of the optional Leather Package. A pair of 14-way Power Sport Seats with memory functions were selected with the Premium Package, which adds automatically dimming mirrors with integrated rain sensors, 2-zone automatic climate control, and front seat heating. Additional options include a heated multifunction steering wheel, Porsche-crested headrests, the Infotainment Package with the BOSE Surround Sound System, and a Sport Chrono stopwatch dial. Minor signs of wear are noted.
Power is derived from a mid-mounted 3.4-liter flat-six engine generating as much as 325 HP and 272 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a desirable 6-speed manual transmission, allowing the Cayman S to accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in approximately 4 seconds. Optional performance features include Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), the Sport Exhaust System, and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). A recent inspection notes oil marks on the underside of the car, and the CARFAX report shows a total of service history entries.
This sale will include a clean title (lien).

The right door card is warped, can this be replaced under the CPO warranty?

@jpena315 I uploaded the photos & I also used arrows & circled where the chips are. I had to take the photos from inside the car because you can’t see them on camera from the outside.

@jpena315 I’ll put those pictures up right now.
@jpena315 There is no leak & the dirt spots were nowhere near the engine.

Do you also have pictures of the Windshield imperfection as well as the headlight crack? Can you please post anything you have showing these.

@supraken All of the details of the inspection I got from Porsche are in that thread as well
@supraken when I got it serviced at Porsche, the technicians assured me that there was no leak.
When Lemon Squad did their inspection report there were dirt spots on the bottom of the transmission and they reported them as “oil marks”.
The inspection has since been updated.
Hello, did you ever find out what the oil leak might've been? Saw your comment about finding out in the other auction.

@Obfinance I don’t typically hold onto a car longer than a year, and I’m also looking into getting a project car… instead of something that I have to ultimately keep stock.
Thank you for the clarification. May I also ask why you’re selling the vehicle after such a short period of ownership?

The milage has been updated in the Vehicle Detail section.
BTW I have ALL the exact details of the previous deal in texts with the previous buyer, emails between us & his credit union, and the Cars & Bids support chat.
If anyone would like any specifics regarding that information, you can direct message me.
Unfortunately, these things happen… but I would really like to be as helpful as I can be with this auction process.
When I originally spoke with Adam, I had told him if things didn’t work out with Cars & Bids I would list it here on his site. And I am a man of my word.
To elaborate on the Cars & Bids auction:
The highest bidder was $55,000. He paid the buyers fee, I signed all the necessary paperwork. But ultimately after trying to finalize things with his credit union, he could not afford to finance the car the way he originally planned.
Hello,
I was first contacted by Adam here at Pcarmarket, but I decided to listed with Cars & Bids instead. At the time Adam first contacted me the car only had 44,000 miles. The current mileage is 49,000 miles.
I'm curios why the previous listing has more miles than the current listing?

Hey there. Remember this being listed and sold on another auction site. Care to elaborate?

Hello everyone!
I purchased this 981 as a CPO from Park Place Porsche. There is still a little over a year left on the CPO warranty. I just performed the recommended 10,000 mile maintenance at Porsche West Houston, I have the DME report, and I got an inspection done from lemon squad.
I challenge you to find a cleaner 981 with higher specs than this one (excluding GT trims). It’s not easy, trust me, I’ve already tried!
Please feel free to message me with any questions and I will be more than happy to answer. Thank you all!!!
