This 2014 Porsche 981 Cayman is finished in White over a Luxor Beige leather interior. It comes equipped with a naturally aspirated 2.7-liter flat-six engine, a 6-speed manual transmission, optional stainless-steel door sills guards, the Mahogany Interior Package, a mahogany-trimmed heated multifunction steering wheel, Power Steering Plus, the Infotainment Package with Sound Package Plus, Convenience Package, and 19” Cayman S wheels. The car has been owned in San Diego for six years and is upgraded with an OEM Cayman Sport Suspension (X73) package and an Alcantara headliner. Showing approximately 28k miles on the odometer, this 6-speed Cayman is now being offered for auction once again on PCARMARKET out of California.
This 981 is finished in White and features projector headlamps, fog lights, LED taillights, side air intakes, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and a center-mounted exhaust outlet. The car rides on optional 19” Cayman S wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires from 2018. Some signs of age are noted on the tires. The seller indicates the car was exclusively hand-washed and never saw track use under their ownership. The CARFAX report shows damage to the front end resulting from an accident in 2014 and the seller states the front bumper has been refinished. The lower corners of the front bumper and one mirror also received professional paint touch-ups under current ownership. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin features Luxor Beige leather upholstery complemented by optional mahogany wood trim on the dashboard, door panels, shift knob, and heated multifunction leather steering wheel. The headliner and A-pillars were professionally reupholstered in beige Alcantara under current ownership. Accessories include heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, stainless-steel door sill guards, Porsche Communication Management (PCM), and the Infotainment Package with Sound Package Plus. Some signs of wear are noted on the driver’s footwell sill panel and shift knob.
The mid-mounted 2.7-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 265 HP and 207 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The car is factory-equipped with optional Power Steering Plus and has been fitted with OEM Cayman Sport Suspension (X73) including a 20mm lowered ride height and stiffer shocks, springs, and anti-roll bars. The seller notes a wiring harness repair and oxygen sensor replacement was performed under their ownership and proper routine service has been observed.
This sale will include a clean title.

Hi Van_Slyke, thanks for the kind words. I used an upholstery shop recommended by the local Porsche dealer. The headliner/pillar reupholstery was done about 5 years ago- I believe the cost (labor + materials) was $700. I was able to find a great match to the Luxor Beige and IMHO it feels OEM+ (on par with what you’d find in a GTS-spec car). I hope your project goes well if you decided to move forward with it! Cheers!
@industrialdesigner - Too bad; this is among the nicest low mileage manual 981's I've seen and the value added with the upgraded (X73) sport suspension only enhances it further. The Alcantara headliner and roof pillar reupholster is a nice touch that I'm considering for my 987. How much work was involved and cost if you don't mind sharing?
Thanks for the participation everyone! I appreciate the bids, comments, questions, and the Porsche community here on PCar Market. Again, thank you.
Dang, fell asleep at the switch.

Thanks for the bids Kinghuss, Rkaufman, Bhmohio, Blackstallion! Performjdh1, I think it was a mouse that chewed on the harness. Had the harness replaced with an OEM and trapped the mouse a couple days later. It was an expensive mouse! Thanks all!

Hi Blackstallion, I do not given it occurred prior to the owner I purchased it from here in San Diego. (When I purchased it I asked him as well.) I’m a detail-oriented person and I haven’t noticed anything off in the front area. Additionally, there haven’t been any maintenance issues that have come up with the front end during my ownership. I had the Porsche OEM X73 Sports Suspension professionally installed and an alignment shortly after I took ownership and there were no issues. Happy to answer additional questions, please let me know! Thanks!
Do you have any details on the front damage from previous owner?
Happy St. Patty’s Day, All! We’re in the home stretch of the auction. For those of you who sent in questions, thank you! I’ll continue to monitor the inbox and respond asap.
Thank you for the bid, bvcvandykdx200!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. We’re in the final day of the auction and I wanted to thank 02silverbullet, Notriding, iankarr, and mush1963 for the bids so far. The Cayman has been a joy to drive over the last six years- tremendous driving dynamics while also being easy enough to drive daily. Please let me know if you have any questions- I’ll be checking this evening and tomorrow morning as well. Thanks again and best of luck.
