Delivering ample torque from an efficient V6 turbo diesel engine, this 2014 Porsche Cayenne Diesel comes finished in Classic Silver Metallic over Platinum Grey upholstery. It was further optioned with 19” Cayenne Turbo wheels, the Exterior Package in High Gloss Black, Anthracite Burch Interior Package, Premium Package Plus, Bose® Audio Package, and more. Showing approximately 111k miles on the odometer, this Cayenne is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.

This post-facelift second-generation Cayenne is presented in Classic Silver Metallic, a color exclusively offered for the Cayenne from 2012 to 2014. Diesel script model designations located on both front fenders help to distinguish this model from a standard Cayenne. It features the optional Exterior Package in High Gloss Black, LED headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+), and 18” Cayenne Turbo wheels which come wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Verde M&S tires from 2018. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report noting minor front-end damage in August 2017.

The cabin presents Platinum Grey upholstery with the Anthracite Birch Interior Package including gear selector trim. The Premium Package Plus includes 14-way Power Sport Seats with the Memory Package, an electric slide/tilt sunroof in glass, front seat ventilation, front and rear seat heating, Porsche Entry & Drive, Power Steering Plus, the Comfort Lighting Package, front & rear ParkAssist, and Lane Change Assist (LCA). A tire pressure monitoring system, a heated multifunction steering wheel, and the Bose® Audio Package were also opted for.

This Cayenne is equipped with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine producing up to 240 HP and 406 lb.-ft of torque. An 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission sends power through an active all-wheel-drive system with a self-locking center differential. Stopping is provided by six-piston front and four-piston rear brake calipers over ventilated rotors at each corner provide stopping power. The CARFAX report shows 32 service history entries.

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “Awesome vehicle, it drives like a 3000 lb sports car, not a 4. 5000 lb SUV. It regularly gets 32-34 mpg on the freeway and 22-23 around town. I towed an open trailer with a 1972 Porsche from Sacramento to San Diego, with cruise control set at 70 all the way (even over the Grapevine). It never slowed down going uphill, and I got 24 mpg for the trip. It requires minimal maintenance, oil change every 5k miles, which you can easily do yourself, and has a life expectancy of 300k miles.”

@campodf that's exacctly why my car is posted here... "other site" and take weeks to post, argue about value, etc... but base this and my 993 I did sell on PCar last week.... the other sight has much more visibilty and views hence more potential buyers and offers..... but if PCAR can find you a buyer, it only cost $99 to find out, and the posted my adds in 24 hours from submission....

@Bobp993 I’m also a first timer here! That’s good to know. I wish you great luck! I am listing my ‘13 CD on one of the other main auction sites but they are taking absolutely forever to put it up live and I’m checking out pcar market as an alternative for a different Porsche I’m selling.

  • Bobp993 (seller) 3 days, 18 hoursago

@Napastyle14 the number I will accept is significantly below what PCAR chose to put in buy it now… please bid on it in the tank.. if that’s how it works? 1st timer here…Bob

  • Bobp993 (seller) 3 days, 18 hoursago

@campodf i did not set the buy it now price PCAR came up with that number… please put a reasonable offer in the deal tank , i will accept… I agree 27,500 is much to high….

  • Napastyle14 (registered bidder) 3 days, 18 hoursago

wow...$27.5K. Ditto as below comment. And considering it needs tires/sensors, a complete brake job and lack of maintenance documentation. It's going to be sitting awhile.

@torero19 as much as I would like a 958.1 cd with 110k + miles on the clock do be at $27,500 that is more in line with the market for a 958.2 with about 70k on the clock. I own two so I’d love it if they were both worth that. But one I just purchased from a Porsche dealer with under 50k for about this buy it now price.

  • torero19 (registered bidder) 3 days, 18 hoursago

Buy Now at $27,500??? considering age and mileage, there seems to be a disconnect (for a standard, albeit, diesel Cayenne).

@the2thwizard I think the write up says “out of California” meaning it is located in California — not that it needs to leave California.

@the2thwizard yes, use the contact seller button and I can arrange for you to drive the Car.. it is registered in CA, has been since original purchase… I don’t see any comments about out of state registration?

  • the2thwizard (registered bidder) 4 days, 19 hoursago

When you say has to be registered "out of state" is this a new emissions law for CA?

Hi all! Just wanted to comment that the transfer cases on the diesel cayennes (and the hybrids for that matter) are not prone to failures like the gasoline variants. In fact I don’t think I’ve ever heard of one failing prematurely. Porsche never had to do a warranty extension on these as an example.

  • Bobp993 (seller) 5 days, 20 hoursago

2010 is an older generation of Cayenne, I doubt it uses the old transfer case hardware.
As I mentioned , I have been maintaining the SUV since 38k miles and other than hardware and software upgrades made to comply with Diesel Gate resolutions everything is as delivered new in 2014.. thanks for your questions

  • torero19 (registered bidder) 5 days, 20 hoursago

    Dear Seller,
Do you know if the Transfer Case has been replaced?
I had to do that on a 2010 Cayenne at around 135k miles and it is not a cheap fix.
    Thank you,
    Michael

All maintenance required has been completed by me at the recommended intervals. That being said, 90% of the required maintenance are inspections at different mileages. Oil changes and draining water from the fuel filter is required every 5k miles, which was done by me.
Additional maintenance every 160,000 miles are the oil changes in the all-wheel final drive, rear final drive, and transfer gear. And change the ATF and filter in the transmission.,.. those are not due for another 50,000 miles.
I have replaced the front pads and rotors are still within spec.
    Thanks for your interest…

Could you talk more about the past maintenance performed as there is little to nothing shown on the Carfax report other than a battery being replaced at 58K and engine cover removed/replaced at 59K? We see tires are 2018, how about brakes/rotors, trans/diff /brake fluids and oil/fuel filter changes(?). Any additional narrative to maintenance would be of help. Thanks....

My girlfriend bought the Cayenne from Steven’s Creek on 11/19/16 with 38,252 minutes.. I drove it back to Sacramento and have been driving and maintaining it ever since. In 2018, she decided she wanted a AudiQ5 and transferred ownership to me at 57k miles.
It has never leaked a single drop of oil on the garage floor. After 111k miles the bottom of the engine is still clean and leak free….I don’t know how a car fax came up with their owner dates and mileages… mine are accurate. 😁

  • Bulletproofauto (registered bidder) 1 week, 2 daysago

@ seller If I am reading the Carfax correctly you've owned the Cayenne since August 2018 when it had 57481 miles. Have you had to deal with any oil leaks during this time period?

  • Bobp993 (seller) 1 week, 2 daysago

@kscritch We were contacted and given the option of buying it back for X$ or retaining it, with the guarantee that all updates would be made to make it 100% smog legal and some $ compensation of Y$. It had a new exhaust system with different cats and the ECU was reprogrammed… also a 10yr 100k warranty was added. They said there might be a performance difference, but we didn’t notice any change. Actually the hi way mileage might have gone up 1 or 2 mpg to 33/34.
The minor damage listed on car fax was a broken windshield (looked like two golf balls next to each other) but it was a small deers hooves that hit the windshield as it bounced over the car.. in the evening driving about 45 mph, deer ran across road from the left side, jumped barely hit left fender, didn’t even break the headlight, hooves hit windshield near the top, landed on the ground on right side of the car and ran off. Repairs were perfect.
Car has never been smoked in, nice to have extra places to plug in phone chargers though…. Thanks for your questions and interest. It’s in like new condition 😁

  • kscritch (registered bidder) 1 week, 2 daysago

@Bobp993 Do you have any information on the dieselgate recall work done on this vehicle? And can you share any info on the accident and damage that the Carfax shows in August of 2017? Also, it looks like this might have the Porsche 'Smoker's Package' and I realize that most people order this because of the other connectivity benefits it provides, but do you know if this vehicle has ever been smoked in?

  • Bobp993 (seller) 1 week, 2 daysago

@campodf Thank you for your comments about maintaining this vehicle, it’s easy and inexpensive.. the Mighty Vac evacuation pump I use to change the oil myself will be included in the sale! I’m sure you are correct about the 958.1 vs 958.2 but that information was added by PCAR not the seller 😁

  • campodf 1 week, 3 daysago

Nice to see a PCD on here! As the seller stated, these are easy to work on to do basic maintenance. Oil filter is on the top of the engine and you can do a top side oil change very quickly. Fuel filter is easily accessible too.

One correction: The write up states this is a post facelift cayenne but it’s a pre facelift model. 2011-14 were the 958.1 models. 2015-2018 are 958.2. Maybe the confusion is that this is a second generation Cayenne? St any rate, good luck seller!
