BMW’s flagship sport bike, S1000RR was originally designed to satisfy homologation requirements for the 2009 Superbike World Championship. The more track-oriented HP4 version was introduced in 2013 featuring a Dynamic Dampening Control (DDC) system, Launch Control, and upgraded Brembo monobloc brake calipers. This 2014 example, #5577, is finished in Light White and Racing Blue Metallic and features the optional Competition Package along with a host of extra accessories. Remaining under the care of its original owner with only 6 delivery miles showing on the odometer, this collector-grade BMW HP4 is now being offered for auction out of New Hampshire.
This HP4 is finished in Light White and Racing Blue Metallic over a black aluminum frame. It features the optional Competition Package, adding a carbon fiber engine spoiler and trim accents, folding clutch and brake levers, adjustable rider footrests, and 17” multi-spoke forged wheels in Racing Blue Metallic. An unused set of Competition Package decals is included in the sale. The bike also features a tinted windscreen, black clip-on handlebars, fairing-mounted mirrors, dual headlamps, an LED taillight, a removable passenger pillion, a kickstand, optional heated grips, a digital multifunction display, and an HP4-branded tachometer with a 14,200-rpm redline.
Rated at 193 HP, the water-cooled 999cc DOHC inline-four engine is equipped with four valves per cylinder, 48mm throttle bodies, and an Akrapovič titanium exhaust system. Power is sent through a 6-speed drive chain transmission featuring a 10-plate anti-hopping clutch. The HP4 comes standard with an adjustable 46mm inverted fork, an adjustable aluminum double-sided swingarm with a monoshock, Dynamic Damping Control (DDC), Launch Control, and 14-setting Dynamic Traction Control (DTC). Stopping power comes from Brembo brakes with four-piston front calipers over a pair of 320mm discs and a single-piston rear caliper paired with a 220mm disc.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a new Shoei RF-1200 helmet (L), a GPS mount and power cable, a Bursig stand and adapter plate, a new Competition decal set and rear seat, a Guardian Ultralite cover, Hyper Lites, a battery maintainer, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “I am representing this BMW HP4 for my collector client. This bike is in as-new condition, showing only the delivery miles of 6. It has been safely stored in his climate-controlled facility since his purchase in 2014. There are no cosmetic or mechanical concerns. All listed accessories are included with the sale.”

@Artdeckco this Shoei helmet is still in the original box and packaging. It was purchased in conjunction with the bike in 2014...never used or exposed to the elements. I do believe that your concern is valid if the helmet had regular usage and had wear and tear which is certainly not the case here. That said, you have the final say on its safety and whether to use it. Cheers!
question about the Shoei helmet. To my chagrin, I learned that my helmet, also a Shoei, is no longer safe to use. Apparently helmets have a shelf life of about 15 years. What year is that helmet?
@Artdeckco correction on the top speed...303Km. 200 in MPH. Sorry.
@Artdeckco thank you for your comment. There isn't a whole lot of data for the Competition version of the HP4. My information informs me that the 0-60 time is 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 303 MPH...with rpm's exceeding 14,000. I suggest that you search on your favorite browser for independent reviews. I'm certain they won't disappoint.
I had a 1996 Yamaha FZR1000, truly, this bike is simply another level. I have just a few questions, do you know the weight, the 0-60 speed, and the top speed? Also, can you point me to a Motorcyclist or similar magazine that reviews the bike in 2014?
