The BMW E60 generation M5 debuted in 2004, famed as the only version to feature a high-revving, naturally aspirated V10 engine inspired by BMW’s involvement in Formula 1 racing. This 2010 example comes finished in Black Sapphire Metallic over a Light Sepang Bronze Merino Leather interior and equips 19” Style 166M wheels, a limited-slip differential, Electronic Damping Control, Park Distance Control, and a host of additional amenities. This sought-after M5 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida while showing approximately 58k miles on the odometer.
The exterior is finished in Black Sapphire Metallic (475) with Shadowline high-gloss trim. Compared with a standard E60 5-Series, the M5 features a wider track as well as M-specific front and rear bumpers, a quad-tip exhaust, front fender vents, and a rear decklid spoiler. Equipment also power-folding auto-dimming heated M mirrors, xenon adaptive headlights with dynamic auto-leveling and washers, heated windshield washer jets, heated door locks, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. It rides on factory 19” Style 166M wheels with 90% front tread remaining and 60% on the rear reported. The front tires were replaced in March 2023 with Free Road Hazard Protection coverage until 1/25/20206. The seller notes some signs of road wear on the front end, discoloration and paint imperfections on the bumpers, and curb rash on the wheels. Additionally, window tint has been applied. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is upholstered in Light Sepang Bronze Merino Leather complemented by Madeira walnut wood trim. Interior amenities include heated power seats, a heated multifunction steering wheel, a power sunroof and rear sunshade, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Park Distance Control (PDC) and a navigation system are also equipped. Some wear is noted on the center armrest. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly, and no warning lights have been identified.
The E60 M5 is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.0L S85 V10 engine rated at 500 HP and 384 lb.-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 7-speed automated manual sequential gearbox (SMG III) and a limited-slip differential. The M5 features the MDrive system, which allows the driver to optimize performance characteristics including throttle response, transmission speed, and suspension dampening via the M button located on the steering wheel. Factory equipment also includes Electronic Damping Control, while aftermarket BE connecting rod bearings and ARP connecting rod bolts have been added. The CARFAX report shows a total of 18 service history entries, and the seller has provided the following history:

@markm thank you for the questions.
I am selling this car because I need cash to fund new toys. There is no mechanical or any other known issue.
DMTL was replaced once and as a result for an issue, they warranty it and replaced again. No issues now. All services performed by a well known BMW local shop. Not sure about the car fax report process. I have copy for all work that was performed.
Hope this helps!
1. On the records on carfax the service done at redline shop is not documented?
2. Why are you selling the car after all the work you put into it? Only owning it for a year?
3. DMTL pump assembly was under warranty but there's record of you replacing it in the first place? Is there any service done to the car missing?
4. What kind of battery was replace that was $366?
