Now available for auction is this 2009 Porsche 997.2 Targa 4S finished in Black over a black interior. Marking the inaugural year of the 997.2, this rare 2009 Targa 4S was among the first to have been offered with an optional 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission and is reported to be one of only 1,156 examples produced for the model year. It was sold new from Porsche North Houston at an original sticker price over $114k, with options including heated and ventilated Power Comfort Seats, the Bose High-End Sound Package, Sport Chrono Package Plus, and Navigation Module for PCM. Remaining in its home state of Texas where it has been routinely serviced under the care of its original owner and only one other family since, this 997.2 Targa 4S is now being offered for auction with approximately 26k miles on the odometer.
This 997.2 comes finished in Black and sports a large sliding glass roof panel, opening rear hatch, and unique chrome trim accenting the roofline. As a 4S, this Targa also features the characteristic reflector band spanning between the taillights as well as silver-painted front air intake grilles, red-painted brake calipers, and wider fenders. Clear paint protection film has been applied over the forward half of the hood and front fenders, and the seller notes minimal signs of wear consistent with the car’s mileage. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The factory 19” Carrera S II wheels come dressed in a set of Falken Azenis FK510 Ultra-High-Performance Summer tires, sized 235/35/ZR19 in front and 295/30/ZR19 in the rear.
Inside, you will find a black standard leather interior with heated and ventilated Power Comfort Seats, the Bose High-End Sound Package, and a Sport Chrono stopwatch dial mounted on the center dashboard. Other features include driver seating position memory, a universal audio interface, Bluetooth phone interface, and Navigation Module for PCM.
This Targa 4S is equipped with a direct fuel injected 3.8L flat-six engine that sends up to 385 HP and 310 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Using the launch control function of the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus, the 4S is capable of reaching 60 MPH from a standstill in as little as 4.5 seconds. The seller reports all routine maintenance to have been kept up to date with a collection of supporting records accompanying the sale. CARFAX shows the last service to have been completed by Eurospec Automotive in August of 2021.
This sale will include a clean title. Well kept and sparingly driven, this rarely seen 997.2 Targa 4S is ready to be enjoyed by a new owner.

@CarBidder PPI results were great! Only issue is the windshield washer pump not working. This will be fixed as a condition of the sale.
This Targa 4S is owned by our dealership. A fantastic trade in!
Here is the report folks.

Tire date codes are 2017. Barely any wear.
Porsche North Houston has the service records on the car.
Genuine question: Is overrev report relevant for PDK car?
@markjohn I am assuming you don't have answers to my questions or don't want to address them before end of auction. What is point of PPI after horses left the barn? PcarMarket will take their cut right at the time of bid!
You are seller of car but are you or your dealer is owner of car or is this consignment sale?
@CarBidder Our rev report will hopefully be available in the morning. Seems everyone has staffing issues these days.
This car has everything original on it. Porsche North Houston has done the majority of scheduled maintenance up to 18k miles. Their service guys will be happy to fill you in on the history!
If you want the car you are More than welcome to get a PPI done. We did not because of the low miles and condition of the car.
I have few question regarding this Porsche and if you don’t mind answering them. Thanks
Most dealers do pre-purchase inspection whenever they buy/list Porsche. Has your dealership done that? If yes, then would you mind listing it here.
Any Starter Motor issue?
When was Sparks plugs last replaced (date and mileages)?
Condition of Tires (how much threads are left) and when they were replaced (time and miles)? What are specs of wheels? Height, width and diameter?
Condition of Brakes (how much mm life has left) and when they were replaced (time and miles).
When was brake fluid last replaced? Date and Mileages
Condition of Battery or when it was last replaced? Batteries have date printed right on top.
Has this car ever been involved in flood or water damage? Date and mileages
When was other fluids (Transmission Oil, Radiator Fluid, Steering Fluids) were replaced?
Did you happened to change any car fluids?
Any Oil or fluid leaks? Any Motor Oil Burning?
What kind of fuel economy do you get (city and highway)?
@CarBidder We are taking the car to Autoscope in Plano Texas to get a rev report. Hopefully they can squeeze her in with just one day left.
@markjohn When Can I see Rev report?
@CarBidder We do not have a rev report on the car but that could be arranged. Grey question!!
This car is a baby doll interior and out. Not necessary with the low mileage
Are you (dealer) seller or this is consignment sale? Do you have rev report?

Apparently that was too big, so we got an X3 shortly thereafter. Now look whos driving the Nav, me, and I'm not a SUV/Truck guy.

@markjohn lol indeed! Wife wants suv, I want performance. Ugh. Shuffling mind games. From. 997 to something with enuf room for the 100 lb dog with all the accoutrements? It’s a challenge to find the balance. What can you do other than buy them all! Dealer lots these days are a travesty!
@PCARMARKET Spoiler!
@gwgrind The bid made in error has been retracted, you may now enter the correct bid.
