Bid in the amount of $25,000

  • MoonDog4224 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@987ist also ... I forgot to mention this car has an auto blipper installed so syncs up on the down shift .... huge as a protection for over revs and allows someone who is less familiar with heel toe shifting to be competent in this car!
    Thx!

  • MoonDog4224 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@987ist No need for power steering as it doesn’t have the same issues as the.1 unless you are at the limits of the car and want to go to an electric setup to pick up a very few horsepower.... really is leagues ahead of the .1 ....
    Seats are wide
No need for oil sump but I guess you can add it ... no heat or starvation issues that I have witnessed... but again you could add if desired for short money on next oil change...
I don’t run rev reports on my race cars but I know the car had no over revs at conversion or since...
Really is a turn key car...
    Thx.

  • 987ist (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@987ist Sorry, I mistakingly had 2006, not 2009 in my head.
Yes! IMS resolved in the 2009 987.2. Much, much better!
I'll assume that there's no news on either a track-updated oil sump or power steering system.
Two last questions: (1) do you know if the Cobra seats are the standard or wide version, and (2) do you have a recent rev report to share?

  • MoonDog4224 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@porscheklaus these are a great car...
Very dependable reasonable to maintain once built and set up correctly.... that where all the money is.... these are 7 figure cars to build and get set up correctly..
Plus the mid engine is such a great platform as you can really drive and rotate the car off of the gas pedal!
So I guess I am saying I fully agree...
    Thx for checking in... ??

  • porscheklaus (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

    looks like a blast.

  • MoonDog4224 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

    @Ddesimone17 no

  • MoonDog4224 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

    @987ist this is a .2
These are highly sought after as none of the .1 issues exist due to Porsche correcting in the .2
    Same as 911
    .1 2005-2008
    .2 2009-2012
    Thx.

  • Ddesimone17 (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

Was this car on Pcar 6/7 weeks ago ?

  • 987ist (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

Three common mods for tracked 987.1 include improved (1) IMS bearing, (2) oil sump systems, and (3) power steering systems. I imagine that you would have listed these, if they had been installed -- just wanted to ask to be sure.

  • MoonDog4224 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@msandford74 splitter is taped and have ran that way for a long time ...
I have receipts for the work for the buyer
All done professionally and top of line parts etc
Zero impact to the cars value or performance
    Thx for asking

  • msandford74 (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@MoonDog4224 Thank you for your honesty. It looks like the front splitter is broken on one side by the racer tape holding it to the front bumper. How bad is it?
The right rear side that was repaired, it looks like the rubber deflector on the front leading edge of the wheel well is missing, correct?
Do have receipts on the repair work?
    Thanks for your time

  • MoonDog4224 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@msandford74 yes rear right has tire impact fully restored and all new mechanical components as well...
Prior to pics on listing and is not noticeable and/or doesn’t effect car

  • msandford74 (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

Has the car had any paintwork or body work?

  • MoonDog4224 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@robertsmau thank you and yes it appears you are correct.

I would guess the value of brand new sticker tires being sold with the car vs a used set might offset and concern in that area.
This car (except for that and only if you are racing immediately) is turn key and can go on track as soon as you receive it.
This car was an open checkbook car.

  • robertsmau (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@MoonDog4224 In one of the interior pics you can see that the passenger seat belt has "2020" on the tag. Typically an FIA approved belt will be marked with the "not valid after" date. However, I wouldn't think a $500 belt would change the value of this car and you'd only need to replace the driver's belt to meet race requirements.

  • MoonDog4224 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@Helix10 Not sure on belt date but I do t think expired.
    Yes fire system.
Yes panel had fire system, pms switch and radio/ ics added....
    Thx!

  • Helix10 (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

Belts expired? Dates on the seats? Is there fire suppression? Also, any panel work in its history? Thank you

  • MoonDog4224 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@robertsmau I fully agree but I am a little biased...
This car will be great for someone...
Thx for your kind words... ??

  • robertsmau (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

Way too nice of a track car to not have some bids, let's see this thing on track with a new owner.

  • robertsmau 3 years, 6 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $20,000

  • MoonDog4224 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@andnad only mods are exhaust and tune thx

  • andnad 3 years, 6 monthsago

This has a 9A1 engine, correct? Any modifications done to the engine itself?

  • MoonDog4224 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@robertsmau yes and PSM bypass as well to eliminate over control and rear brake overheating...
Can and should use in the rain so switch let’s you choose...
Really complete and well done car...

  • robertsmau (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

Super awesome car and I see them being lightning fast on track. Is it equipped with ABS brakes?

  • MoonDog4224 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@MoonDog4224 sorry wasn’t supposed to be any question marks ... I do appreciate your feedback....

  • MoonDog4224 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@robertsmau I agree. This is set up to be an excellent and fast track car.
    Thx for your input... ??

  • robertsmau (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@euromeister : As a long time club racer I can tell you that a lot of race series are setup to keep a car street or track driveable (Spec Miata, FFR Cobra, Spec E30, Spec3). That said, NONE OF THEM ARE DRIVEN TO THE TRACK! What makes a great race car does not equal a great street car. Once the interior is gone, cage welded in, and suspension stiffened it will suck on the roads.

  • MoonDog4224 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@MoonDog4224 oops all work and maintenance was done by professional shop... sorry I missed that part...

  • MoonDog4224 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@cerb1958 there was a lot more than 33k put into this car and it has always been a Fl car... thx!

  • cerb1958 (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

are you the owner that had the work done at approx 33,000M for track work? If yes, , did you do most of the changes yourself, or done by a shop? when did it move from GA to FL.

  • MoonDog4224 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@msandford74 title and bill of sale yes

  • msandford74 (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

Is the car sold with a title in your name along with a bill of sale?
    Thanks for your time

  • MoonDog4224 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@euromeister Great question... not an expert answer but roll cages in street cars have been around for a while...
It may very well be able to be registered I would check your state and local laws...

  • euromeister (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

Beautiful build! I'm curious, at what point in the build does this lose its street legal worthiness? The full cage?

  • MoonDog4224 (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

Great car and I look forward to finding her a good home...
Very well set up with the best parts...
Tuned by Mase Engineering 312 at rear wheels on pump and 343 with race gas .... turn key with fresh sticker tires ....
    Ready to go! Cheers
