We are pleased to present this 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser, finished in Sandstorm Metallic over a Dark Charcoal fabric interior. The FJ Cruiser was introduced in 2007 as the spiritual successor to the legendary FJ40 Land Cruiser, taking some visual cues from the original and providing similar off-road performance with a full-time four-wheel drive, two-speed transfer case, Torsen center differential, and a locking rear differential with A-TRAC traction control. This example was delivered new to Arizona in February of 2008, optioned with the Convenience Package and Off-Road Package, in addition to factory rock rails, all-weather floor mats, a roof rack, and a tow hitch and wiring harness. It remained under the care of the original owner before being acquired by the seller in February of 2022. Now showing just 1010 miles on the odometer, this 2008 FJ Cruiser is now being offered at auction by the seller based out of California.
This FJ Cruiser was ordered in Sandstorm Metallic (4U0) with a white roof, “Toyota” lettering across the grille, and a headlight configuration styled after the FJ40. In September of 2009, this FJ was the subject of vandalism, and as a result, the hood, passenger side cowl, roof, and windshield pillars were repainted by the selling dealership along with the replacement of the windshield. The exterior has benefitted from a recent paint correction and ceramic coat in preparation for the sale. The seller notes some minor paint chips on the rear bumper and upper passenger fender, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and the CARFAX report. Exterior equipment includes factory optioned rock rails, undercarriage skid plates, a roof rack, bumper-mounted auxiliary driving lights with FJ covers, a tow hitch and trailer wiring harness, rear parking sensors, power side mirrors with image lights, rear parking sensors, tinted privacy glass, and daytime running lights. Aftermarket additions include a front hood bug deflector, a DeeZee ladder, and a Tuffy black aluminum roof-mounted lockbox. This FJ rides on 16” off-road 5-spoke alloy wheels which are mounted with the original BFGoodrich Rugged Trail tires displaying date codes from 2007.
The interior of this FJ Cruiser is trimmed in Dark Charcoal cloth upholstery and features 8-way adjustable water-resistant seats and heavy-duty all-weather flooring. Amenities include remote keyless entry, cruise control, power windows and locks, rear parking assist, a 6-speaker sound system, a satellite radio tuner, all-weather floormats in the cabin and cargo area, and auxiliary gauges mounted to the center dash featuring an inclinometer, a compass, and an ambient temperature dial, as equipped by the Off-Road Package.
The FJ Cruiser is equipped with a 4.0L DOHC V6 engine producing 260 HP and 271 lb.-ft of torque, which is sent to all four wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission, two-speed transfer case, and locking Torsen center differential. The optional Off-Road Package adds Trail-Tuned Bilstein shock absorbers, a locking rear differential, and the A-TRAC traction control system. Recent maintenance includes a new battery installed in April of 2022, an oil service, and new hood struts.
This sale will include 3 sets of keys, owner’s manuals, original window sticker, service documents, and associated sales literature.

We have reached the final moments of this auction. These have been fetching 65k-75k with this kind of mileage, and some of those didn’t even have the off-road package! This is a brand new vehicle and will continue to appreciate as time goes by.

A paint correction is simply a term used for a very high-end detail/polish. I will have PCAR upload the invoice showing what it entails. It was polished very thoroughly and ceramic coated, to the tune of $1200. This vehicle was not in any moving moving collision.
This FJ was housed in Phoenix AZ by a collector, and was driven periodically and started frequently. When I got it, the FJ had a 9 year old battery in it that still measured fine. This reassured me that it was always driven and maintained. I just replaced that battery last week, with another interstate model.
