Powered by a race-derived Mezger flat-six mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, this 2008 Porsche 997 Turbo Coupe is finished in GT Silver Metallic over Dark Grey Natural Leather. It was further configured with the Sport Chrono Package, heated Adaptive Sport Seats, and extended leather trim on the sun visors, rear center console, instrument surround, steering column, seatbacks, and door finishers. Treated with a comprehensive service by Patrick Motorsports at $31k+, this example has also been upgraded with a Flat6 Softtronic ECU tune, Numeric Racing short shifter, Fabspeed Supersport exhaust system, and more. This meticulously maintained Turbo is now being offered for auction out of Arizona with approximately 17k miles showing on the odometer.
The 997 Turbo stands apart from the Carrera with its wider fenders, integrated side air intakes, unique bumper design, and speed-activated rear spoiler. This Coupe is finished in GT Silver Metallic and rides on factory 19” 911 Turbo wheels wrapped in like-new Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires installed in July 2024. Additional equipment includes red Porsche-branded brake calipers, aftermarket Fabspeed exhaust outlets, and a lowered ride height courtesy of a Bilstein suspension kit. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the cabin presents Dark Grey Natural Leather upholstery complemented with optional leather along the sun visors, rear center console, instrument surround, steering column, seatbacks, and door finishers. Additional options include heated Adaptive Sport Seats, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, interior-colored floor mats, an aluminum footrest, stainless steel door entry guards, and a Sport Chrono stopwatch dial. A Raceseng Slammer shift knob has also been fitted. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are confirmed to be in proper working order.
Powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six, the 997 Turbo delivers up to 480 HP to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The Sport Chrono Package Turbo was additionally selected. A comprehensive service was completed by Patrick Motorsports in August 2024, addressing maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. Work included an engine and transmission-out service, ignition system overhaul, cooling system refresh with coolant pipe pinning, clutch system inspection and maintenance, fuel system maintenance, driveshaft flex disc replacement, and a suspension overhaul. Upgrades included a Flat6 Softronic ECU tune, Numeric Racing short throw shifter and performance shifter cables, a Fabspeed Supersport 70mm X-pipe exhaust system, and a Bilstein suspension kit. Invoices detailing the work completed are provided in the gallery.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, two keys, a window sticker, a toolkit, a spare tire, and a host of documentation.
The seller would like you to know: “I purchased this example in June of 2024, then had it shipped to Patrick Motorsports for maintenance review and service. This car is fast and perfect.”

Clean car. If allowed by PCM rules, will you contact me? Thanks.
Just an unbiased onlookers here but the condition, mileage and more importantly extensive service and preventative maintenance items that this car includes makes THIS example is in the 145-150k range. Having said that THIS particular example is not for the general car buyer looking to either flip the car or dip their toes in the water without the prerequisite knowledge or experience owning and properly maintaining these cars. This level of service basically makes this all but a brand new car and one that shouldnt need much outside oil changes and tires for a decade or more. This a car for true connoisseur who understands how these machines function, what they need to function at their finest and those who demand the purest experience that can be had from a car of this age. That buyer sadly seems to be a small portion of current buyers. I do believe this group of informed and committed buyers is growing by the day. You have a spectacular 997 Turbo and should never take less than 145 for the car. Keep it. This level of car will be 200k in no time.
@jjc1932 the work done address all the potential pitfalls so I tend to agree with you. Buying a 17- year old turbo without this work being done means it’s just a matter of time until it needs to be done. It’s not an “if” but a “when” thing. That said, I don’t think the market values this work being done, and these cars may potentially scare people away because of these needs. Like a Mercedes m275 with ABC suspension does … IMO.
The service included almost $6k to fix the spoiler...when a Fowell could just turn off active spoiler. Price feelings aside this is probably close to a perfect car. Also folks should understand AZ cars have a premium some shop in Chicago will pick prob. flip this for more eventually.
Most of the cars on PCAR didn't sell today and went to deal tank. Sellers and buyers seem to be about 15 to 20% apart. Even the inexpensive 500 Mercedes didn't sell
@Ngadban389 Depends on your definition of close, 10% or 15%
Penny wise and pound foolish so the saying goes.
Thanks for your interest and participation in the auction.
Best of luck finding one like this.
@6thinline9 If anything I hope this brings to people minds and they think it through that what is on the surface is not the whole story. Even with a PPI most the issues would not have been found with out an engine pull and superior techs servicing the car. So no 125 was not going to do it. The car needs an owner who can appreciate fine workmanship and attention to details. They are not making anymore of these and are very special car.
Thanks to all that participated in the auction.
130k with buyer fees** Best of luck to anyone who is pursuing this. I sent a message to the seller, and we are not even close, which is incredibly disappointing given recent comps on BAT +/- 5,000 miles.
@groach Correct is not.
It’s not 2021
@ARC944 with the amount of work done, 125 wasn’t going to get it done. Not sure about 155 tho …
I’m surprised this didn’t sell at $125K. Seems like a very strong number in today’s market.

@omi205 We do not know, some one had hacked into it. We replaced both actuators and repaired/replaced the wiring.
@JHA83 No, there has been no post tune anomalies, no lights, no smells of un-burnt fuel and normal idle, all very normal and clean exhaust pipes.
Bid in the amount of $89,000
Any clarification on the wire splitting for the rear wing? Whats the story there? Was this to integrate a rear camera?
Fantastic looking car, I appreciate all the thoughtful responses. Question re: softronics tune - have you noticed any ignition/combustion quirks post tune? Specifically idle smoothness and any signal of running rich (read smell of unburnt hydrocarbons)? Thanks much and good luck with the sale!
Bid in the amount of $88,000
@Ngadban389 I will look and post if I find one
There is a picture in the gallery of the old removed Bilsteins
Thank you for clarifying. Also are there any photos of the replaced suspension? I scrolled through the gallery and saw the factory suspension, and a screenshot of the purchase page, but couldn’t find any photos on the actual car.
@Ngadban389 Will try if time permits today.
Audio work was installing the new updated Porsche PCCM stereo with Apple and Android Car Play.
@jjc1932 - Is it possible to reupload or share a different video of the car while driving? The first two walkarounds work fine to hear the car at idle, but the audio does not work on the driving clip as a heads up.
Also you mentioned there was some audio work done to the car? Can you shed detail on that. Thank You
It was inspected, checked and confirmed good for continued service. I asked about the tune and was told the stock setup is good to 650hp, we are not even close to that. So there was no reason to change it. Performs perfectly, with no issues. Now that being said, someone who rides the clutch, slips it, it will wear, as would any other setup.
Does this car have the stock pressure plate or was it upgraded to handle the tune? Sachs 764 is the most common upgrade to factory when tuning for more torque, the stock clutch slips with just about any tune.
@Dirtyfox and, you’ll likely have to drive the car in a specific way for a number of miles, to “reset” everything so it’s ready to pass smog.
Bid in the amount of $86,000
@Kevinmr Ty sir
@Dirtyfox you will have to have the ECU flashed back to stock as Softronic is not CARB certified. As you know, since 2021 Calif checks for tunes as well, and if the tune is not CARB then you will likely (there has been some inconsistency in checks) fail. So reinstall the original cats (assuming the original headers are still installed) and do a flash.

@jjc1932 Great tyvm :)
@jjc1932 G
@Dirtyfox I was talking with someone today that said their car is the same and passes smog in CA, 2007
He lives in the San Francisco area
Otherwise it would be changing the exhaust for smog is my best guess as all the sensors are still there
@jjc1932 Oh ok so just a case of swapping back to original and smog should'nt be an issue ? is it an expensive job as i would probably have to take it to have it done, simple bolt on and off or software tune etc. Ty :)
@jjc1932 Thanks for the answers!
@ABCruiser8487 No, every once in a while on the right road the fire bottle will rattle, but a finger pushing on it for a sec and it stops
@jjc1932 Thanks for uploading all the maintenance records! Are there any quirks, rattles, squeaks, whistles to your beautiful 997.1 Turbo when driven normally? For example on an RS4 that I had, I had to keep the door closed to pop the access the gas cap (fussy wiring connection).
@Miller711 I stand corrected.
Read the entry. It was removed and wiring also.
Apparently not compatible with the new sound system when I asked, and inop.
@Miller711 I think it is, if they removed it it would come with the car.
Should still be installed.
Do not know if it works, never used it.
Good morning, I see they mention an after market radar system when upgrading the audio. Is the radar still installed?
@ABCruiser8487 Maintenance records I have from 2015-2023 have been up loaded to gallery

@Dirtyfox Any other state I would say yes, California 50/50. Not because of the tune but the high flow cats would be my guess. Here in Arizona it is exempt from emissions thanks to Mr Jackson. He got it passed any car 15 years or older WITH collector car insurance is exempt. The original exhaust and cats are included with the sale.
@jjc1932 thanks for looking to see if you have additional records!
Hi great car, would you by any chance know if would pass a CA smog with these mods added ? ty GLWS
Great! Thank you!
@jazzyg72 The Sport Chrono Package allows the 997.1 Turbo to overboost for up to 10 seconds, increasing peak rated torque to 505 lb-ft.
Does the Sport Chrono option add a temporary boost on the 997 Turbo?
@ABCruiser8487 I have a folder with some records
I will look at it tomorrow and let you know what it has in it
@Ngadban389 Softronic, is the premier tuner for Performance Software and Tuning for Porsche, Ferrari. With over 40 years experience with Porsche.
All engine and turbo parameters are within Porsche specs
The car has about 1000 miles since the tune
Changing it back to stock would take about an hour
Bid in the amount of $82,000
Beautiful 997.1 Turbo. Did you receive/have maintenance records from between 2017 and 2024 (they aren't on the Carfax)?
Cool car but have some concerns about the ECU tune. Can you provide context as to when this was added (mileage wise), how aggressive the tune is set (boost target) and what the process would be to revert back to stock/factory for this tune? Thanks
Bid in the amount of $80,000

@1965gt350 Have my eye on a barn find that I want, so something has to go. Last in first out. Otherwise it would not be up for sale. This is the best Porsche I have had in a number of them over the years.
I may have missed it, but why are you selling the car so quickly after purchasing it?
If anyone has a technical question, please feel free to call Patrick Motorsports for clarification on the work completed. Number is on the invoices on this site.

@Greyghost13 As far as I know, no it has not been tracked and has not been by me. I think your thought on the fire extinguisher that it looks good is probably the answer.
@ARC944 It is not an after market head unit. It is a Porsche PCCM stereo with Apple and Android Car Play. The radio head unit is $1500 plus an hour or two to install it. Take a look at the link below.
https://www.porsche.com/usa/accessoriesandservices/classic/genuineparts/producthighlights/pccm/
The PPF was on the car when I got it. Based on the paint numbers it looks like the front, hood, fenders and rear view mirrors.
Any idea if the car was tracked? The build sheet does not list a fire extinguisher which was added by one of the previous owners. I believe it's required to track, but some I assume think it's just a cool add on? Thx
Does the aftermarket head unit feature Apple CarPlay? Also how much of the vehicle is covered with PPF? Thanks
@fbdyvan Correct, yes
@jjc1932 - I assume that includes the factory exhaust with cats? Does it also include the factory stereo head unit? Thank you.
Well last night the third person has come to see the car.
All have left with it is better than they thought and one said perfect.
Driving report for all 3 was it is just normal and very docile below 3500, my wife can drive this no problem. true.
But then 3500 to 6000 it is a different animal. Depending on your foot smooth and fast or holy xxxx that is amazing. Like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Amazing. Everyone left smiling and looking back at her on their way out the door. I am available for private showings in Phoenix till the end of the auction. Email seller and we can set something up.

@fbdyvan Yes everything we changed out except the old shocks, and tires
Hi @jjc1932, does the car come with any of the stock parts? Thanks.
@Kevinmr May be operator error, as I bowered the meter from a friend and never used one
Or it could be the PPF on the front of the car or both
Paint is original with no known damage or touchups
Fresh Ceramic coating applied in September
@seller Can you comment on the paint meter readings? A few outliers. Thanks.
Beautiful specimen. Laughably clean DME, too. Miss mine every day.
It is all dark grey, it is just the way the sun and shade hits it. Very nice. All leather interior option.
@jjc1932 I can’t tell in the photos, is the top of the dash black and the lower dash is grey? Are the doors all grey?
Thanks.
