Celebrating 40 years of Mazda’s legendary rotary engine, the 2008 Mazda RX-8 40th Anniversary Edition features unique 18” 10-spoke wheels, blue light fog lamps, commemorative badging, a rear wing spoiler, and a sport-tuned suspension with Bilstein dampers. This 2008 is one of approximately 1,000 North American examples that came finished exclusively in Metropolitan Grey Mica over a Cosmo Red leather interior. It is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission paired with its 1.3-liter Renesis rotary engine, fender strakes, the Appearance Package, and the Rotary Accent Package. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2024, this limited-edition Mazda RX-8 is now being offered for auction out of Florida with approximately 2k miles showing on the odometer.
Finished in Metropolitan Grey Mica, this RX-8 40th Anniversary Edition features a rear wing spoiler, fender strakes, blue fog lamps, 40th Anniversary fender badges, and the Appearance Package which adds a front air dam and side aero flares. It rides on 18” 10-spoke aluminum alloy wheels in a reflective Dark Silver Chrome finish. Other equipment includes xenon headlamps, rear-hinged “Freestyle” half doors, a power sunroof, dual heater power mirrors, polished rotary accents, and polished dual exhaust tips. The seller notes a minor paint touch-up near where the driver’s door meets the rear door, and the tires show production date codes from 2007. The black and Cosmo Red leather interior features an 8-way power driver’s seat, front seat heating, aluminum-accented door sills, aluminum pedals, a leather-wrapped shift knob, 40th Anniversary Edition floor mats, and a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel. Other accessories include power windows and door locks, a center console power outlet, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a cargo net, and an AM/FM stereo with a 300-watt BOSE sound system.
Rated at 232 HP and 159 lb.-ft of torque, the 1.3-liter two-rotor Renesis Wankel engine delivers power to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and a Tochigi Fuji limited-slip differential. Stopping power comes from ventilated disc brakes and the suspension features front double wishbones, a multi-link rear end, a front strut tower brace, Bilstein shock absorbers, and a urethane foam-injected front cross-member. Service in 2021 included an oil change, new spark plugs, wiper blades, and a battery hold-down.

@raharg0 I apologize I’ve been out of town. I can not get the compression numbers and pics until Thursday. My mechanic has the rotary compression tester. I guarantee the car is fine.
@jackal0506 unfortunately I can not. I am a one man show. Sorry. I have driving the car a couple times. I can assure it drives like new.

Would you please share the compression test result. I have owned a very low mileage RX8, a proper rotary compression test is essential to ensuring a fine example like this gets top market value.
Did you use a rotary compression tester?
@CarNutinMiami we have done a thorough inspection of the car and a compression test. Have taken on numerous test drives even with the original tires at high speeds.
Man no bids yet. My first few real cars were rx7s. I've been wanting an rx8 since they came out but not sure I could justify it these days.
I’m in Miami and interested in this RX8. Have some concerns about the low mileage. Most cars don’t do well sitting and a rotary engines suffer from non use more so than piston engines. What has been done to check the condition and health of the engine?
