Limited to just 400 units, the 2008 Ducati Monster S4R S Tricolore is presented in Italy’s red, white, and green and powered by a 998cc Testastretta L-twin engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Notable features include carbon-fiber trim, adjustable Öhlins suspension, Brembo brake calipers, 17" Marchesini wheels, frame and fork sliders, a black Sargent seat with red piping, a painted tail cowl, and a two-into-two exhaust system with carbon-fiber Termignoni mufflers. This example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada with approximately 16k kilometers or 10k miles showing on the odometer.
The Monster Tricolore can be distinguished by its red, white, and green-painted tank and matching rear cowl, mounted on a Fabio Taglioni-designed tubular steel trellis frame. Features include rear-set foot controls, a carbon-fiber front fender and accents, frame and fork sliders, dual-gauge instrumentation, a black Sargent seat with red piping. A side stand is also included in the sale. The bike is equipped with 17" Marchesini ten-spoke wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Street Radial tires. A plaque affixed to the left side of the engine denotes the bike as #275 of 400 S4R S Tricolores produced. Detailed images and a clean CARFAX report are available in the gallery.
Power comes from a 998cc L-twin engine featuring Marelli electronic fuel injection, dual overhead camshafts, and four desmodromic valves per cylinder. Additional cooling is provided by an oil cooler and electric cooling fans. The two-into-two exhaust system is equipped with slip-on Termignoni carbon fiber mufflers, delivering both performance and a distinctive sound. Power is transferred to the rear wheel through a multi-plate dry clutch, six-speed transmission, and drive chain. The bike features a fully-adjustable Öhlins suspension, with a 43mm inverted front fork featuring titanium nitride-plated legs and a monoshock connected to the aluminum single-sided swingarm via a progressive linkage. Braking is managed by Brembo calipers mounted over twin 320mm discs up front and a single inboard disc at the rear. A 2024 tune-up was recently performed, including a valve adjustment and fresh fluids, ensuring the bike runs at peak performance.
This Tricolore is offered with a Canadian registration. Also included are the owner’s manuals and sales literature.

@Aprilia69 Custom broker will align paperwork needed for a seamless importation. Forms EPA3520 & HS-7 are involved, along with the small 2.5% import tax payable to POTUS, in order to craft the Manifest, so transporter can cross the border legally.

@KJUtah Hi Tank was not replaced , Ducati hinge kit and install were done at Ducati Montreal as a Goodwill gesture in 2024
Not to harp on this, but just to be clear, the tank was NOT replaced, but some modified hinge was supplied?

Bonjour again! Just trying to perform due diligence... do you have documentation of the tank repair? As @KJUtah pointed out this is a known issue with these particular era bikes. I have several acquaintances through the community who have had to have their tanks replaced in their entirety even after the tank repair was performed due to excessive swelling. Additionally I would like to add my bid is in $ USD $. Thank you for the continued information stream, it is very helpful.

@KJUtah Hi , there was slight swelling as pretty much all Ducatis from 2006 -2014 with plastic tanks had this issue . I contacted Ducati last year they were kind enough to fix free of charge and they installed a new hinge kit which gives greater clearance runB3C Ethanol Shield since so that no more swelling will occur.
Beautiful bike. Can you tell if there is any swelling of the tank from ethanol contamination?

2)Dealer( Monette Sports ) was a personal friend 1st service and inspection done ( Monette Sports)after that I did all maintenance till present
3)Rear tire was changed at 8484 kms 2012

Also documentation of the latest service records and and fluid flush/changes- from authorized Ducati provider or not? What a beautiful bike. I think I'm having to give up riding due to age, but when I see something like this it inspires me. I have a Tricolore Panigale 1199 and even if I don't ride it I think I'll keep it. This bike you have is something special. Really fantastic and I suspect you will have a heavy heart when it leaves.
