This 2007 Porsche 997 Carrera 4S Cabriolet is finished in Midnight Blue Metallic over a Brown Natural Leather interior and features a 6-speed manual transmission sending power to all four wheels from a 3.8-liter flat-six engine. It was configured at an original sticker price of approximately $122k including the optional Makassar trim package, Sport Chrono Package Plus, Bose High-End Sound Package, Adaptive Sport Seats, painted wheels, illuminated door sills, and more. It has been meticulously cared for by its original owner and customized with a TechArt rear wing, an AWE Tuning catback exhaust system, a GIAC performance tune, paint protection film, window tint, an Alpine head unit, and an integrated Escort radar detector and laser jammer. This one-owner Carrera 4S is now being offered for auction out of New York with under 28k miles on the odometer.

This 997 is finished in Midnight Blue Metallic with a black convertible top, optional paint-matched 19” Carrera S wheels, and an aftermarket TechArt rear spoiler. Other equipment includes bi-xenon headlamps with washers, power heated mirrors, fog lights, clear side marker lights, red brake calipers, and quad exhaust tips. The side windows have been tinted. The CARFAX report shows an accident with damage to the front and left sides in 2019. The owner states this was a minor low-speed incident with no major damage, and repairs were performed to OEM standards on the front bumper and left front fender. The car is said to have always been garage-kept and has never seen track use. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

Inside, this C4S is appointed with premium Brown Natural Leather upholstery complemented by rare Makassar wood trim. Other options include heated Adaptive Sport Seats with leather backrests, a multifunction steering wheel with Makassar wood trim, illuminated door sill guards in stainless steel, Bose High-End Sound Package, a Sport Chrono stopwatch, and self-dimming mirrors. An Alpine ILX-007 head unit with Apple CarPlay has been installed along with a custom-integrated Escort radar detector and laser jammer system.

Factory-rated at 355 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine sends power to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. This example features a reversible GIAC performance ECU tune and AWE Tuning cat-back exhaust system for increased sound and power output. The seller indicates all routine service has been kept up to date at an authorized Porsche service center and the IMS bearing was inspected and found to be nonproblematic.

This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “A low-mileage car that's been my baby since I purchased it new in 2006.  Never expected to sell (and still don't) but life circumstances require that I do.  Whoever wins this will have a beautiful spec, low mileage, well-loved 997.1 that will continue to age as gracefully for years to come. Rare combo of midnight blue metallic (nachtbleu pearl) and saddle tan interior almost a cognac color. The car is pretty much fully loaded. Please note it may look like it’s had two owners but in reality, was originally in my name before I titled it in MT LLC (sole owner) along with my other vehicles. Had IMS bearing checked out not affected (would have happened by now even if it was!) but made sure to have it regularly serviced- exclusively at Porsche service facilities.  Oil changed annually at longest and other than minor wear and tear items no issues with the car - ever.  Coolant hose clamp wore out two years ago- had that replaced- was the most 'major' incident I've had.  Tires are effectively new (1 yr old <1k miles). Never been in an accident- other than a minor incident a few years ago whereby someone clipped me at idling speed at a light in the city when I was pulling out of a parallel parking spot. No mechanical damage, but the front bumper and left front quarter panel were repaired at Porsche to OEM standards. Happy to provide more details but genuinely a minor incident and wouldn't know otherwise. Garaged its entire life so the quality of paint and leather is excellent. Happy to chat/answer any questions about this beauty. Truly sad to see it go but will give me some comfort if it goes to someone who will love it as much as I have for the better part of two decades.”

A DME report has been added to the attachment section of the listing page.

  • UncleMac (seller) 4 months, 3 weeksago

All- update for you. Per the questions I've taken a number of additional videos today that should be uploaded shortly. They show me driving the car with top up, shifting throughout the range, start up/revs to demonstrate exhaust note, walk around video and a DME report- which shows zero overrevs and no faults, would pass inspection etc. Technicians noted how clean the car is and as an aside commented on how nice the car sounded :)

Hopefully this batch of videos and documents addresses the numerous questions that have been posed but let me know what else I can answer.

Lastly per the bumper repair I asked Porsche Manhattan today- who did the repair- they don't keep records that far back (4/19) but are inquiring with their body shop if they do and if I can get them will post them. That said fact is you can see from videos/pics how clean the car is and obviously no mechanical issues or faults and been driving it for years since. Again wouldnt be selling it not for life circumstances. You wont be disappointed.

  • UncleMac (seller) 4 months, 3 weeksago

@Holmesjc3 Took number of videos this morning (and DME report-showing no faults or overrevs etc) that should be uploaded shortly. One of them had technician start and rev it so should be what you are looking for

  • UncleMac (seller) 4 months, 3 weeksago

@artichoke I changed the head unit a while back so unfortunately no bluetooth- its wired carplay/phone. Personally given how cheap the units are now would prob upgrade again or just attach one of those bluetooth fobs to make it wireless

  • artichoke (registered bidder) 4 months, 3 weeksago

@UncleMac Thanks, just saw the photo! I had the snoot off my 06 C4S coupe so I completely understand it looks much worse than it was! Thanks! Did you add Bluetooth connectivity for your phone?

  • UncleMac (seller) 4 months, 3 weeksago

    @Holmesjc3 understood no worries

  • UncleMac (seller) 4 months, 3 weeksago

@Rungegator took the videos this morning on commute but won’t be able to upload for a few hours (some reason can’t do it on phone).

  • Holmesjc3 (registered bidder) 4 months, 3 weeksago

@UncleMac its not about smoke, its an aftermarket exhaust and would be helpful to understand what it sounds like vs factory

  • UncleMac (seller) 4 months, 3 weeksago

@Holmesjc3 I’ll try to get another video for you. No smoke or anything if that’s the concern. Rev under load harder as I am in the city and obv can’t do that by myself but will see what I can do.

  • UncleMac (seller) 4 months, 3 weeksago

@artichoke they are on the listing already. Was just the front bumper getting clipped off as I pulled out of parallel parking spot. Looks way worse than it was given the bumper was mostly taken off. No mechanical damage. All repairs done at Porsche Manhattan. Trying to get records (have Chubb claim but doesn’t show the details) and it was over 5 years ago. So you can take some confidence that obv was repaired well given I drove it another five years and moreover from the pics/videos I’ve posted (and posting more today) not only everything perfect working order but no way you could tell anything ever happened to it.

I asked Porsche Manhattan for the repair details- their records don’t go back that far but they use an associated body shop whom they are going to contact and hopefully they have the details. Best I can say otherwise is look at the pics and carfax and videos I’ve listed. But happy to talk/answer any questions.

Figured honestly best policy here and again this is/was my baby and don’t want to be selling it. Can believe me or not but anyone who sees or drives the car will be sure to tell you it’s in perfect shape. Hell I’m at the dealership now and I always get comments from the service center (and mechanics) about how great a shape it’s in for it being 17 years old. How anyone wouldn’t take such care of a car like this is beyond me but I digress…

  • Holmesjc3 (registered bidder) 4 months, 3 weeksago

is there a cold start video and one that demonstrates the exhaust under rev?

  • artichoke (registered bidder) 4 months, 3 weeksago

Any photos of the damage prior to the repair? That would be very helpful!!!

  • UncleMac (seller) 4 months, 3 weeksago

@karq had the dealership check it and they told me it was fine. What that entails I do not know. They also said this year/engine size was not one of the ones that had the issue (not to say it didn’t/couldnt happen in other variants of course but that it was much lower probability). They also mentioned that had it been an issue it would have manifested by now. Again not an expert and merely relying what Porsche themselves told me. Sorry can’t provide more than that but after 17 years I suspect there’s some validity to that.

  • karq (registered bidder) 4 months, 3 weeksago

The IMS used in the 2007 is not really replaceable, what do you mean by "have it checked" and regularly serviced, just curious, thanks

@Rungegator working on getting it. Obviously the attached Carfax has some of the info but working getting the actual repair order- not sure if I'll be successful TBH given it was years ago but trying. Similarly trying to get DME scheduled at dealership but I will say that I've owned the car since new (almost 20 years) and while I've driven it hard (as one should!) I've been very careful about not just maintenance but also ensuring not to redline it or neglect other parts of the car that would lead to unusual wear and tear or cause harm to a car I planned on keeping forever. Regardless I'll get what I can and post it ASAP.

Regarding the driving video- I'm not sure I understand, you want a video of me driving the car with the top up from the inside? I can try to do that this week but not sure exactly what you're looking for/concerned about. The top is in perfect condition if that's the concern? Happy to get said video though just please clarify.

And the exterior/interior- do the pics not suffice? Also posted a video late last week showing the interior leather which is basically a full interior shot- if those are not good enough let me know and I will pull the car out of the garage and do a short video, but hopefully what I've posted already addresses that.

  • UncleMac (seller) 4 months, 3 weeksago

@Manos411 thanks! Was really a minor 'mishap' and yet was so pissed. Thankfully with Chubb they took care of it properly and I was fortunate in that it was really just the front bumper and no knock to wheel/mechanical parts. Literally guy wasn't paying attention and just easing forward at the light and didnt see me (SUV driver on phone) and clipped the side/front of the bumper. Tried rolling back to avoid him but got me enough to do some damage to the bumper. Obviously the paint had to be redone/blended in but other than that and reconnecting the wiring etc was no biggie.

  • Rungegator (registered bidder) 4 months, 4 weeksago

Any chance you could upload the repair order for the accident as well as the Mx history? DME report? A driving video with the top up as well as an interior exterior walk around? Just surface rust in the undercarriage?

  • UncleMac (seller) 4 months, 4 weeksago

@Jessannjoh thanks! Hopefully you saw the video I posted. If you need anything else let me know

  • UncleMac (seller) 5 monthsago

@Jessannjoh I’ll go take some more pics and a video for you.

  • Jessannjoh (registered bidder) 5 monthsago

@UncleMac photo 81,82, and 83. The leather is raised. Looks like water damage

  • UncleMac (seller) 5 monthsago

@Jessannjoh I'm not sure what you're referring to but if its the pic with what looks like wrinkles I think thats a function fo the light/angle of the shot. Happy to take additional pic or video if you want but I assure you the leather is in great shape. Particularly the back seats/passenger side. Drive side shows a bit of wear. Car was never rained in or had interior exposed to water. If its the other pic the photographer had folded the seat down- thats literally the original carpet weave on the backside of the back rest. Again not sure what you're referring to but happy to take more pics etc to get you comfortable

  • Jessannjoh (registered bidder) 5 monthsago

What is the issue with the left rear seat? Has there been a water leak?

  • UncleMac (seller) 5 monthsago

@obg I will have to call for those. I didn’t make a habit of keeping the receipts. The carfax does show a fair bit of detail but if there’s something in particular you are looking for I can try and track it down. Obviously having owned it for 17 years and moved a few times it’s gone to several different Porsche dealers for service (manhattan, Albany, Santa Fe mostly).

  • obg 5 monthsago

Please post maintenance and repair receipts. Thanks

  • UncleMac (seller) 5 monthsago

@naccer you could absolutely remove it but the rear lid would have a couple drill holes that you would have to seal/cover. Don’t think it would be a big deal but obviously not looked into it. Also note the auto spoiler activation was disabled (presumably the fuse) so you’d want to activate that (should be a simple plug)

  • Fearless 5 monthsago

  • naccer (registered bidder) 5 monthsago

Hi, is it possible to remove the rear spoiler? Thank you

Welcome to my auction. Happy to answer any questions and wish you to bid well and often! Kidding aside if you do win I hope you’ll love her as much as I have for the past 17 or so years!
