Introduced for the 2007 model year, the 997-generation Porsche 911 Turbo debuted with a venerable Mezger flat-six engine and new Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) turbochargers. Featuring a desirable 6-speed manual transmission, this inaugural-year example comes finished in Meteor Grey Metallic over Grey Natural Leather upholstery. It was generously appointed at an original MSRP of approximately $147k, including a -slip differential, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), the Sport Chrono Package, the Carbon Package, the switch panel and rear center console in carbon, Adaptive Sport Seats, Parking Assist System, and much more. Acquired by the seller on PCARMARKET just over two years ago, this Turbo is now being offered for auction out of Colorado with approximately 63k miles showing on the odometer.
The 997 Turbo is distinguished by wider bodywork than the standard Carrera model and features integrated side air intakes, unique bumpers, and a speed-activated rear wing. This Coupe is finished in Meteor Grey Metallic complemented with optional yellow ceramic brake calipers. It rides on factory 19” 911 Turbo wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, of which the rear are new and the front have about 50% tread remaining. An optional rear window wiper is also equipped. The seller adds that a recent paint correction was performed by the specialists at Stuttgart Auto Body, a Porsche-approved shop. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report noting minor damage in 2023.
Inside, the driver is situated within a Gray Natural Leather interior featuring Adaptive Sport Seats and the Carbon Package. Carbon was also exclusively selected for the switch panel and rear center console. Other optional equipment includes heated front seats, Porsche-crested headrests, a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel in leather, a storage compartment lid with a model logo, and Black floor mats with Porsche lettering. Optional amenities include the Parking Assist System, a remote CD-changer, a module for telephone PCM, and the Sport Chrono Package. The seller also notes the installation of Bluetooth connectivity and a radar detector. Additionally, there are some flaws in the carbon fiber and signs of wear on the fan speed and temperature switches.
Powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine, the 997 Turbo sends up to 480 HP and 460 lb.-ft. of torque to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH is achieved in under 4 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 190 MPH. Optional performance enhancements include a rear axle-locking differential and the Sport Chrono Package, enabling temporary overboost of up to 10 seconds for an increased peak torque rated at 505 lb.-ft. Additionally, the optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) offer fade-resistant stopping power while saving 37 lbs. compared to the standard system. The seller mentions recent services include pinned coolant lines, new brake pads, and a fresh oil change.
This sale will include two keys and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “I have absolutely loved this car! I have babied it and no one has driven it but me. I feel lucky to have owned a car such as this and I look forward to my next unicorn 997.2 turbo manual. These cars are a combination of fast, fun, and amazingly capable!”

@gregacotton thank you, Greg. I thought this was the case unless I was missing something. I also noticed that the front tires are not Michelin Pilot Sport 4s, but Pirelli P-Zeros and about 6-7 years old.

@gregacotton - ok thanks. Just trying to get a handle on what's been painted and what hasn't been.
@sclinch1 sorry for the delay, the DME was done by the last seller and reposted.
@blackdogcars I apologize but that was the only reading we took and were asked for as it was the repainted panel from Stuttgart.
Bid in the amount of $74,000
@gregacotton - Good luck in the final hour. Do you have paint meter readings for all panels? It would appear you posted just the reading for one quarter panel. A bit odd, as it's not much more effort to post readings for the rest of the panels on the car.
Bid in the amount of $73,000
Is the included DME report current/recent?
Seems prices range widely for these turbos. Wonder where we’ll end up
Thank you all for your questions and comments over the last week. I have had fun reminiscing about my time with this amazing work of German art, the perfect combination of technology, horsepower and finesse paired with a manual transmission to create the ultimate driving experience!
Over the last week I have answered all of your questions and posted requested images. A summary-
We covered the pinned vs Sharkwerks connections on the coolant lines
Established that everything works including the spoiler (image 145)
Provided images of the scratches that were repaired (one bidder mentioned not being able to see the scratch in the (images 143/144) and established that both scratches were repaired by Stuttgart (a certified Porsche repair center). Paint meter readings were requested and provided by Stuttgart yesterday (image 147).
Walked through a discussion about PCCB and their condition (German Car Shoppe) findings that they are in great shape and the replacement of the pads at all 4 corners.
The condition of the Clutch being assessed with plenty of life left.
I believe we have established that “she” is ready to go and in fantastic mechanical shape and great condition.
I wish you all the best in the final hour! Thank you each for your time and consideration!
@redwgn45 yes one wheel was refinished drivers front as it was in need.
@gregacotton The invoice mentions that you had at least one wheel refinished? Was it one? All of the wheels?
@Audi1995 yep, what's a posting without the paint meter inspectors
Figure I buy this car in a couple hours. Then Uber from Boulder And drive it home!

I will put a call into both The German Car Shoppe and Stuttgart to see if they can help answer your questions. Not sure if it helps but the body shop Stuttgart is a Porsche certified body shop.
@gregacotton Any chance of getting paint meter readings on the painted panels?
Also regarding the coolant lines, can you get written confirmation from the shop that all of the coolant lines were pinned? The receipt does not say they were pinned.
I have come across a few cars for sale where sellers had the sharkwerks elbows installed, thinking that was pinning the coolant pipes.
Thank you

Images 143 and 144 show the damage prior to repair. Both of these scratches have been repaired. I wanted to offer this comment is clarification. Thank you in advance!
@gregacotton correction, I replaced the pads, not the rotors prior to 50% wear.
@Bennhct my understanding is the discs are considered lifetime as long as the vehicle is not tracked. As noted I replaced the pads very recently and had the rotors looked at by the German Car Shoppe in Littleton and was told the rotors were in excellent shape. I replaced the rotors prior to 50% wear which I understand is one of the best ways to continue to keep the rotors in great shape.
How much life is left on the PCCBs. I know it can be expensive to replace them. Thank you.

@Audi1995 yes both scratches were repaired.
Was the quarter panel repaired and painted as mentioned on the estimate in pic 139?
@DoveMtnMotors I will get a picture of the spoiler tomorrow in the down position.
@DoveMtnMotors yes. Everything works including the spoiler.
Does the rear spoiler work properly? All pictures in this listing and the prior listing seem to show the spoiler in the raised position.
Bid in the amount of $50,000
@DoveMtnMotors photo of scratch to rear just added to gallery as well. Both have been repaired by Porsche certified body shop Stuttgart in Littleton Colorado.

@DoveMtnMotors Please see scratch (damage from carfax) in last photo just added. You will see quickly and clearly that it was a struggle for me to decide if it was worth fixing. I chose to fix it as well as a couple other blemishes (scratch on rear bumper same side) in order to leave it better than it was when I bought it 2 years ago. The rear scratch similar and had it fixed as well. I will keep looking to see if I can find that image. How else can I help?

Thanks. I see that the Stuttgart work was just completed last month and that the front bumper was refinished as well as the rear bumper. A little bit more clarity would be helpful.
@DoveMtnMotors I am working on getting an image of the scratch/ damage from Stuttgart. I will share that it was less than 2 inches and barely made it through the clear bra. I almost let it go without repair as there was zero body work involved. That being said wether I sold it or kept it I wanted the car as close to perfect as possible so I had it fixed as well as cleaning up a couple other issues at the same time such as a wheel blemish I had buffed out. My goal was to leave it better than I found it. :)
@titans99 thank you for the clarification, yes the coolant lines were pinned my The German Car Shop in Littleton.
@DoveMtnMotors dove, thank you for asking. The receipts are in there. The damage was a scratch in the bumper that was repaired by Stuttgart (see included receipts. Very minimal and a part of the paint correction done.
The ad mentions coolant lines being pinned, but the work order appears to have replaced the plastic 90’s with sharkwerks metal 90’s. I do not see any mention of actually pinning the coolant inserts. Can seller confirm if coolant lines were actually pinned?
No pictures or repair receipts related to the damage reported in Dec 2023?
@siliev1991 @siliev1991for me it just comes down to rarity of the 997.2. I am sure there are enthusiasts on here that can give you more precise numbers of each. My understanding is that there are approximately 2500 997.1tt’s vs less than 400 997.2tt’s.
Bid in the amount of $9,971
Curious what exactly you're interested in in a 997.2 that the 997.1 does not have?
@CarDragon well thank you sir!!! They are like adult go carts! Nothing but smiles :)
These are amazing cars and I have a very similar Meteor Grey 2009 6-speed, just no PCCBs or Adaptive Sport Seats, and it is still amazing and a pleasure to drive. Good luck with your auction and on your quest for a 997.2 Turbo manual.
I wanted to introduce myself and thank you for stopping by to take a look and maybe offer a bid! I have absolutely loved this 997.1TT! After two years of owning my first Porsche I have suffered an addiction :-) upon completion of the sale of this garage queen I will be in search of a 997.2TT. Thank you all for stopping by to take a look, and I will try to be responsive and answer any and all questions as quickly as possible. Thanks to each and everyone of you!
