This 2007 Porsche 997 Turbo Coupe pairs its legendary Mezger engine with an optional Tiptronic S transmission, launching the car from 0-60 MPH 0.3 seconds quicker than its 6-speed counterpart. Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic, this 2007 example features a Black and Stone Grey supple leather interior, the Sport Chrono Package, and other desirable options. This two-owner Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller on the East Coast showing approximately 44k miles on the odometer.

This Coupe was ordered in Arctic Silver Metallic with an optional rear window wiper and standard 19” 911 Turbo wheels. New Michelin Pilot Sport tires were mounted approximately 2,500 miles ago, the seller notes minor signs of road-going wear, and the front bumper is said to have been repainted after the removal of a stone guard in January of 2023. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is appointed with a two-tone Black and Stone Grey leather interior with optional supple leather seats, aluminum trim, and white-faced instrument dials. Additional options include a thicker leather steering wheel, heated front seats, Porsche-crested headrests, black floor mats with Porsche lettering, and illuminated steel door entry guards. Some signs of wear are noted.

The 997 Turbo equips a 3.6-liter flat-six Mezger engine featuring Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) turbochargers helping produce up to 480 HP and 460 lb.-ft of torque. Equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package, an over-boost function is enabled which provides over 500 lb.-ft of torque throughout a certain RPM range. This example was optioned with a 5-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission which sends power to all four wheels and allows acceleration from 0-60 MPH in as little as 3.4 seconds. The seller adds that recent maintenance items include CV joints and drive belt replacements, an oil and filter change, and a brake fluid flush.

This sale will include a clean title.

A lot of folks, particularly that like small sports cars, enjoy rowing the gears and manual cars are a dying breed. The stick cars bring the most money and will continue to.

The dip these are seeing from peak pricing is real but they're not alone...the vast majority of the market is in the same boat. Ebb and flow...

@Kmilletary the rarity of car manufacturers making 6 speeds today in general I would think. These cars (2000-2010) being considered analog, and the trend to make everything electronic. Also these cars are incredibly fast even given the time period they were made. That notwithstanding pricing is bound to swing all over on any of these cars given market conditions, peoples perceptions of value etc.

@tampabaysportscars Thank you both for your responses. I am fine with it swinging, it’s just nice to know if you have a solid investment or not.
With the Tiptronic cars being faster than the 6-speed, why do the 6-speeds bring more money?

  • tonitone90 (registered bidder) 1 year, 10 monthsago

@Kmilletary that's up to you, if you're having fun with it every time you get in, 68K was well spent. If you spent it and have to sweat for every 5K swing in value, idk maybe was not a good call.

Either way every car is coming down to earth a bit, summer 21' and 22' prices are probably a thing of the past for now.

@Kmilletary It’s way to early to make any decision. This is a little like the NBA. All the real action is in the last few minutes

What should this car sell for realistically?
I thought these .1 cars were going up in value but I am not seeing that. Offer seems really low to me.
I have a 2007 C4S with factory Aero Package, auto, 42k that I dished out $68k for in July.
Should I expect this car to go up in value or did I shoot myself in the foot?
Is there a way to figure out original MSRP?

Can we see a video of the rear wing going up and down? Are there any leaks inside the bottem cups ( those can come off to see if there are any leaks) ? Thank you.

  • tampabaysportscars (seller) 1 year, 10 monthsago

@SilverRose It appears that when the stone guards were installed they covered the headlights as well. I will inquire with my detailer to see if they can be carefully removed.

  • SilverRose (registered bidder) 1 year, 10 monthsago

@tampabaysportscars - what is going on w/ the headlights? protective covering worn or light covers cracked?
