Up for auction is this 2006 Porsche 987 Cayman S finished in Arctic Silver Metallic. Marking the inaugural year of the Cayman S, this 2006 example was configured at an original sticker price over $76k with an optional Tiptronic S transmission, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Bose Surround Sound System, and a Terracotta Special Leather interior with Adaptive Sport Seats. Sold new from Beverly Hills Porsche, this Cayman S has spent life in Southern California and is now being offered for auction with approximately 60k miles showing on the odometer.
This 987 comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and features optional Bi-Xenon headlamps, red-painted brake calipers, and 18” Cayman S wheels. The clear stone guards ahead of the rear wheels show signs of age and the seller notes a scratch on the underside of the right-front bumper. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The factory wheels are currently dressed in a set of Continental ExtremeContact tires.
Inside, this Cayman S showcases a Terracotta Special Leather interior with matching carpets, Adaptive Sport Seats, and aluminum-look trim. Optional features include the Bose Surround Sound System, Porsche Communication Management 2.1 (PCM 2.1), and automatic climate control. The headliner was replaced under prior ownership and the seller notes slight wear on the driver’s seat.
This Cayman S features a mid-mounted naturally aspirated 3.4L flat-six with Variocam Plus variable valve timing. As much as 295 HP and 251 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels through an optional 5-speed Tiptronic S transmission, allowing automatic or manual gear changes. 60 MPH is reached from a standstill in approximately 5 seconds and stopping power is handled by fixed 4-piston brakes paired with ventilated, cross-drilled rotors front and rear. CARFAX shows a long history of maintenance, and the seller reports the last service to have been completed in March of 2021.
This sale will include a clean title.

@senna f1, thanks for the response !
In my opinion, for your own safety, I would not expect or recommend you having to jack up the car (even if you had a jack) and going under the car to take pictures . Instead, may be have a local shop OR any reoutable auto repair shop near you, with a professional lift, to lift up your car safely so, you or one their employee can take some close up and clear pictures of the front & rear suspension, the power train ( Includig the engine and the automatic transmission oil pans, etc.) , the exhaust system and more !
As far as the videos go, hopefully those should be easier and no cost to you .
It would be very helpful for the seller and the potential buyer to see and hear the cold engine start up and some driving videos !
I would have some one starts the engine for you, while you're outside the car near the back of the the car so you can record a video when the engine first starts up and idling for a while and then may be they can rev the engine (with the trans. in park) a couple of times to demonstrate the sound of the engine .
Also may be a quick walk around the car and the inside, showing the dash, the gauges, the interior, etc .
thanks and good luck
Nice car. I have the upgraded leather in mine since mine is a Design Edition One. Also have the PASM. The upgraded leather makes a huge difference in mental feel and the PASM makes a huge difference in feel via your bones. Both great options.
@Efariab I don't have a jack but I will try my best with the undercarriage. And yes for the cold engine startup/idle would you prefer to hear from inside the car or outside?
@sennaF1
Good looking '06 Cayman S !
I was wondering if you could please provide some pictures of the undercarraige ( front & rear) and at least a couple videos of cold engine start up, idling & reviving the engine (while in park) and lastly, a good driving video where you drive the the car under reasonably hard accelaration??
