Up for auction is this 2005 Porsche Cayenne Turbo.  Porsche first introduced the Cayenne in 2002, quickly gaining popularity among the Porsche community due to its seamless combination of both a sporty feel with all of the features one would expect from an SUV.  Being the highest trim-level available, this Cayenne Turbo offers an extensive list of factory options, optimal performance, and an all-around great build quality.  Sold new at Pepe Porsche, this Turbo remained in New York before being purchased by its second and current owner in 2013.  This Cayenne Turbo now resides in New Jersey and is being offered in excellent condition with 51k miles showing on the odometer.

Finished in Titanium Metallic, this Cayenne’s exterior is showing to be in excellent condition for its age and mileage.  The seller does report that the front bumper was replaced in 2015 due to a low-speed fender bender which is noted on the Carfax.  Aside from this, the car is said to hold all of its original paint and body panels.  Currently installed are OEM silver roof racks, new Xenon headlights, and 20” factory 5-spoke alloy wheels with colored Porsche crests that wear new Continental Extreme Contact tires.

This Cayenne Turbo is fitted with a black smooth leather interior.  You will find Dark Burr Wood trimming throughout the cabin including the steering wheel, center console, all-four doors, and rear center compartment.  With an MSRP of over $94k, additional interior options include a full moonroof, light comfort package with memory seats, 6-disc CD changer, telephone preparation, and satellite XM radio.  Overall, this interior is stated to be in excellent condition with all working electronics.

Power is delivered by way of a robust 4.5L twin-turbocharged 8-cylinder engine that is capable of producing approximately 450HP and 460 lb-ft of torque.  Although the Cayenne Turbo is labeled a sport utility vehicle, the Cayenne Turbo is capable of reaching 60 mph in an astonishing 5 seconds with a top speed of over 185 mph.  Power is sent to all four wheels via a 6-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission.  This vehicle is also equipped with a rising air suspension that is outlined in the gallery photos.  The seller reports that this Cayenne Turbo is completely up-to-date on all service with recent items addressed such as new brake calipers, upgraded metal coolant lines installed, new front suspension, new hatch struts, and a new emergency brake piston.  Records since 2013 will be provided with the sale.

The sale will include service records, books, and one key.

Beautiful looking first gen Cayenne Turbo. These are amazing trucks. Ample power and far more agile than folks would think.

Regarding towing there is a factory installed option (I believe you could still add it now). These babies can tow extremely well. The self leveling air suspension helps tremendously when towing. Owner's manual states nearly 8,000 lb towing capacity and Porsche is generally very conservative in their ratings. GLWA

    Good morning

I just messaged you I am in the area and would like to take a look before I bid

I believe there was an option, but it wasn't on this from the factory. I've read that they are a great tow vehicle. I put an aftermarket hitch on our GLS recently and it wasn't difficult.

  • 82turboruf (registered bidder) 5 years, 2 monthsago

Was a tow package an option? do not see a hitch.
    What would it take?

@rhmoritz I don't know if I have the invoice, but I can call the shop that did it and see if they can give me a copy. From memory, it was a small connection in very slow merging traffic. Certainly no frame damage.

This is a great car. I've really enjoyed it and the Porsche I've kept the longest (of 6). I am selling it as we have too many cars and not enough space.

  • rhmoritz (registered bidder) 5 years, 2 monthsago
