Offering a sendoff to the 996 generation, the 2005 Porsche 911 Turbo S was offered during the final model year and came equipped as standard with ceramic brakes (PCCB) and the X50 Turbo Power Kit. This example is one of approximately 600 Coupe versions produced in total and features a desirable 6-speed manual transmission as well as an optional Sport Shifter, stainless-steel tailpipes, aluminum trim pieces, and supple leather seats with Porsche crest-embossed headrests. It has also been modified with an Evolution Motorsports Stage 1 ECU tune along with a leather-wrapped center console and a modern Porsche Communication Classic Management Plus (PCCM+) infotainment system. Acquired by the seller in March 2022, this Turbo S is now being offered for auction out of Vermont with approximately 68k miles on the odometer.
The 996 Turbo features wider fenders than a contemporary Carrera model as well as integrated side air intakes, side skirts, a unique bumper design, and a speed-activated rear wing. This 2005 example is finished in Black and comes equipped with optional stainless-steel tailpipes, a rear window wiper, an electric sunroof, yellow brake calipers, clear European-style side marker lights, and 18” Turbo wheels. It rides on Pirelli P Zero tires from 2019 which are described to be in excellent condition. The seller notes that the front bumper was refinished to address stone chips and the exterior underwent professional paint correction and ceramic coating in 2022. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, this 996 features Black full leather upholstery and a matching Alcantara headliner along with optional supple leather seats with heating, adjustable lumbar support, and Porsche crest-embossed headrests. The Turbo S model is distinguished by model designations on the door sills and forward center console as well as aluminum-look instrument dials. This example was also optioned with a three-spoke leather steering wheel, a Sport Shifter, and aluminum inlays for the shifter and brake handle. The rear center console has been custom-wrapped in leather along with the head unit surround which frames an upgraded Porsche Communication Classic Management Plus (PCCM+) infotainment system. All accessories and electronics are said to be working properly.
The Turbo S model comes standard with the X50 Turbo Power Kit which includes larger K24 turbochargers and intercoolers for its 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine along with a revised exhaust system and tuning. A stock output of 450 HP and 457 lb.-ft of torque is sent to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. This Turbo S has been further modified with an Evolution Motorsports Stage 1 performance ECU tune. Service was completed in January 2020 including the installation of four new tires, new spark plugs, an auxiliary drive belt, a brake fluid flush, an oil and filter change, and the replacement of the cabin and engine air filter. Another oil and filter service was performed under current ownership in May 2022.
This sale will include owner's manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, a car cover, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “I am pleased to offer my excellent condition 2005 Porsche 996 Turbo S for auction. I do have mixed feelings about selling this car because I believe this car will hold incredible value in the near future. Based on my research, this black-on-black manual coupe 6-speed is 1 of 51 produced for the North American market with a total production run of only 599 coupes in the world (including automatic and manual transmission). This is the last manual 911 Turbo S produced by Porsche. I love this car, but life is constantly changing and with 4 little ones now, my enjoyment has evolved from my cars to my kids. I have driven this car approximately 600 miles in my 1.5 years of ownership. I hope the next owner will be able to fully enjoy this car for its intended purpose. I will be available throughout the entire auction so please feel free to ask any questions!”

Hi, I would imagine that the PCCBs were engineered and designed the same way for the GT2 and the Turbo S.
Thanks!
Bid in the amount of $60,000
@AMOV Yes the PCNA GT2 came with PCCB and steel breaks were an option. They are 6 piston up front and 4 in the rear. I'm curious if this is the same system on the 2005 Turbo S.
Did the GT2 come with Porsche Ceramic Carbon Brakes?
Are the Turbo S PCCM brakes 6 piston in the front and 4 in the rear like the GT2 from the same era?
No original parts were removed for the tune.
Thanks!
Hi what old parts original items do you have with the car before the upgrades? I know you have the old radio. Any parts before the tune upgrade
Hi!
It's got 4 seats. Just folded down to show off the rear Turbo S deck mat. Look at pic 68 which show the rear seats!
Wow... just a little over an hour left. Yikes!
Hi just confirming there is a backseat. Looks like they’re folded down. Not a backseat delete?

Hi,
Just message me and I will send you a list of reputable Porsche and German specialist shops.
Thanks!
Do you have a local shop (I don't know the area) that could
do it?
Hi jtcapo,
Of course! Just let me know when and where you would like me to take the car!
Thank you for your bid!
Beautiful car! Have a 2004 C4S Cabrio. Completely different machine.
If a deal is made, would it be possible to obtain a PPI locally before the
final transaction takes place? At buyers cost of course.

Good morning and at last we are at the final day of the auction! Thank you for all the bids so far and being nice with your comments. I appreciate it all!
It really is a wonderful car and it will be sorely missed when it's gone!
Let me know if I can help with anything in the last 5 hours!

Hi Bennhct,
Thank you for your questions!
I have a 2012 Cayenne Turbo with PCCBs (with less mileage than my Turbo S) and it embarrassingly squeaks every time I come to a stop. The brakes on my Turbo S (for some wonderful reason) does not. The brakes were at 80% approximately 2000 miles ago and the car was very gently used since that time.
The prior owner was the former general counsel to the Arizona Diamondbacks and from my understanding, it was driven occasionally to the country club and back. Also, I did not get a PPI done when I purchased the car from him and was confident in the seller and prior service records.
Regarding the coolant hoses... I do not see any pinning. However, as indicated by the service records, a coolant hose repair was performed by Rusnak Porsche.
Lastly, a car cover, original stereo and the extra plush Turbo S mats are included in the sale. The car is completely stock except for the leather pieces that replaced the plastic parts. I think it's a wonderful upgrade.
And lastly (you didn't ask) but wanted to mention that the spoiler mechanism works perfectly and was replaced with Porsche OEM parts by the prior owner.
Thanks again!
How much life left on PCCB’s. There’s a service note some years back stating 80 percent. Any substantial decrease?
Any evidence of collant line issues or pinning?
All original parts included or just the stereo shown?
Any PPI from when you or any recent prior owner bought the car?
Just sold my 2001 C4. Keeping my 997 4S. I have driven the 996tt and it just makes sense for me. Beautiful car.
For whoever gets this car. Right away exhaust and headers. The factory exhaust is heavy and has a lot of back pressure. With the existing tune you’ll probably pick up another 40 horsepower, please keep factory parts as the purists like stock cars if you are ever going to sell it. My 03 is highly modified and I have 650 horsepower, third gear pulls will leave ton of smiles on your face, a good radar detector is a must on these rocket ships, I have an integrated K40 on mine. GLWTS.

Hi T, I get all of my cars serviced and maintained at a German specialist mechanic shop, Sterling Motorwerks (this is where Jason used to work at before opening Bull Frog). Fortunately for me, I have not needed to use his expertise yet for any minor or major repairs. I do live less than 2 miles from him and it's reassuring to know that I have him so close by.
Hi, Has Jason (Bull Frog) worked on this car? T

We are #16 on the waiting list for a Toyota Sienna. 🤷🏽♂️
My hats off to you for prioritizing your kids over the car. It’s 1 of the most important decision a man can make.
I shall bid accordingly.
Thank you again for your feedback! The leather bits are all OEM Porsche parts through their special order program called CXX. I had it shipped over from Europe.
I will try my best to get a good driving video. I tried it once with my son capturing it on my iPhone and it didn't turn out so well. :)
Would it be possible to get a driving video?

Joining the Choir...Beautiful car, and the leather appointments look amazing. I don't mean to highjack your auction, but I have been gearing up to do the same to my 996 center console, forward console and head unit surround. The one item I can't seem to find anywhere is the Porsche crest embossed center console lid. Did you have this custom done or do you know if this is a OEM Porsche item from the Turbo S?
I'd wish you GLWA but I know you are going to do well with this one!
Thank you for the compliments everyone and especially from those who speak from personal experiences of prior and current 996 Turbo ownership! This is my second 996 Turbo and had to absolute own another one after I regretably sold my first one, a slate gray 2003. TT.
Driving one and experiencing the thrill of a true "rocket ship" (with its turbo boost) will leave you with a permanent smile long after the drive. :)
I, too, have "lovingly curated" my car these past two years with the expectation that it was a forever car for me. Unfortunately, however, I have only driven it 600 miles in that time.
This car deserves to be driven and enjoyed!
Beautiful - truly the apex of the 996 series. I owned a 2004 TT Cabrio X-50 w/PCCB which over four years of ownership I lovingly curated to concours condition and took home several local PCA first places. I sold it about two years ago to put the proceeds into the stock market - and yes, I am an idiot...
Buy this car and keep it! You won't be sorry -- like I am now...
Sorry Hans Mezger, didn't mean fat finger and to missspell your name.
Amazing 996 Turbo S! I own it'sBlack on Black 6MT twin but with deviated yellow stictching throughout the cabin. Hopefully you will strike a fair deal and the new owner will drive it hard and create smiles for years on end. This is a special car! I have a '19 GT3 Touring and I can't say I gain any more pleasure driving that amazing car than I do driving the 996 Turbo S. Different experience for sure, both wildly rewarding. Additonally, based on the DME, this car has not been driven very hard. My car is Maxed at the 65,535 Ignitions in Range 1 and 595 Ignitions in Range 2 and runs massively strong. The Mexger Flat-Six is worth the cost of admission. GLWTA!
As it sits, the car has approximately 505HP and 502TQ (stock are 444 and 457, respectively). For reference, a standard, stock 996 Turbo has about 420HP.
Horsepower increase with the ECU tune?
I remember seeing this on cars and bids last month and thinking it was gorgeous. Hopefully you have better luck here.
