An evolution of the preceding 996 generation, the Porsche 997 Carrera debuted with significant design changes including interior and exterior updates along with increased power output. This 2005 Carrera Cabriolet features a 6-speed manual transmission, a Basalt Black Metallic finish, and upgraded 19" Carrera Classic wheels. It has also been modified with several interior carbon fiber trim pieces along with a Fister Sport Exhaust system, 90mm quad exhaust outlets, a Flat 6 Motorsports air intake kit, and more. This 997 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Virginia showing approximately 53k miles on the odometer.
This 997 is finished in Basalt Black Metallic with a matching black cabriolet top and features the optional Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package along with upgraded 19” Carrera Classic wheels dressed in newer General G-Max RS tires. The front corner markers have been tinted, a set of Numeric Racing precision-crafted wheel lug nuts with floating washers have been fitted, a rear bumperette delete has been carried out, and 90mm quad exhaust outlets have been installed. Some minor paint imperfections are present including a light scratch on the passenger side door. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Black leather, protected by red leather covers with Porsche crested headrests. Optional features include heated seats, a 3-spoke Sport steering wheel, and the Bose High-End Sound Package. A Dynavin touchscreen head unit with Apple CarPlay has been installed along with a Function First shift knob, a Rennline aluminum pedal set, and custom Lloyd's floor mats with leather piping and red stitching. Several OEM trim places have also been replaced and upgraded with DB Carbon black matte pieces.
This first-generation 997 Carrera is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine paired with a desirable 6-speed manual gearbox. Rated at 325 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque, it sends power to the rear wheels allowing acceleration from 0-60 MPH in approximately 5 seconds. Modifications include a Fister Sport Exhaust system, a Flat 6 Motorsports air intake kit, and a Numeric Racing adjustable short shifter and performance shifter cables. The seller adds that the most recent oil change was carried out at 51,997 miles and ignition coils and spark plugs were replaced in February 2023.
This sale will include a clean title, the factory radio, and factory black leather seat covers.

@Quackbury Thank you!! the seat covers are from Lseat.com and they were installed by Adler & Mandel, a great auto upholstery shop in Maryland
You did a terrific job with the upgrades. Love the Sport steering wheel! May I ask where you sourced the red seat covers? Their fit is absolutely top notch.
Good luck with your lasik!
@Grandall005 I did! They are less than 500 miles old
Did you replace the tires or was it the prior owner?
Hi everyone! I will be getting lasik surgery around the same time this auction closes, so please make sure to get any questions in by Thursday morning.
@OutlawA thank you for the offer! I am only looking to sell it at the moment :)
Beautiful car. Amazing Black and red color combination. Would you consider a trade for a 2005 Bentley Arnage with only 25,000 miles?
Regarding the inevitable IMS questions, please see photo 83 to see LN Engineering’s recommendation.
Hi all and thank you for checking out my 2005 911 Carrera Cabriolet. I bought it late last year with the intention of enjoying it for a few months while doing some light mods and fixing up the interior. I love the end result and I am excited to see it go to someone who will appreciate it equally and enjoy the heck out of it. I will be around to answer questions.
