The CL65 AMG debuted in 2003 as the flagship high-performance variant of the Mercedes-Benz C215 CL-Class, boasting a hand-assembled 6.0-liter Biturbo M275 V12 that delivers 604 HP and 738 lb.-ft of torque. Engineered for dynamic handling, it features a multi-link electro-hydraulic Active Body Control suspension, powerful braking with 8-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers, two-piece 19” AMG wheels, and an AMG aerodynamic package, complemented by a host of luxury amenities. This 2005 example is finished in Flintgray Metallic over a Graphite/Anthracite AMG Exclusive Nappa leather interior. It comes equipped with bi-xenon headlights, a sunroof, heated and ventilated multi-contour front sport seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power rear window roller blind, COMAND infotainment with navigation, and a premium Bose sound system. Showing over 88k miles on the odometer, this CL65 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Pennsylvania.
This CL65 AMG is finished in Flintgray Metallic (368U) and features an AMG-specific aerodynamic package that includes revised front and rear bumper covers, side skirts, and an integrated rear trunk spoiler. Exterior details include self-leveling bi-xenon projector headlights with washers, fog lights, chrome body trim, power-adjustable heated door mirrors with integrated LED indicators, pillarless windows, silver brake calipers with black AMG script, “V12 Biturbo” fender badging, and quad exhaust tips. It rides on 19” two-piece AMG wheels wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact DWS-06 tires, with the front tires showing 2019 date codes and approximately 10k miles of use, while new tires have been installed in the rear. The seller notes that a crack in the left rear wheel was professionally repaired and that the power trunk operation intermittently malfunctions, though the trunk closes properly. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report documenting minor to moderate damage to the front, left, and right front areas from an incident in August 2017.
The cabin offers 14-way power-adjustable multi-contour front sport seats equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage function, upholstered in Graphite/Anthracite AMG Exclusive Nappa leather and complemented by a color-coordinated dashboard, center console, door panels, and carpeting. Walnut burred wood trim lines the center console, rear console, door panels, and door switch panels. Amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, DISTRONIC adaptive cruise control, Keyless GO keyless entry, a rear roller sunshade, V12 Biturbo instrumentation, AMG-branded tread plates, heated windscreen washers, a COMAND infotainment center with navigation, and a 10-speaker BOSE premium sound system. The seller notes that a factory Bluetooth connectivity module was installed by a previous owner. Minor wear is present on some surfaces, and the steering wheel buttons were replaced due to stickiness. All gauges and electronics are reported to be in proper working order.
Power comes from a hand-assembled 6.0-liter Biturbo M275 V12 engine, which delivers a factory-rated 604 HP and 738 lb.-ft of torque to rear wheels through an AMG Speedshift 5-speed automatic transmission. Acceleration from 0 to 60 MPH can be achieved in approximately 4 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 155 MPH. Performance highlights include an adaptive Active Body Control suspension, lightweight two-piece cast iron/aluminum front hubs and rotors, 8-piston front brake calipers, 4-piston rear calipers, an Electronic Stability Program, and Touch Shift buttons behind the steering wheel for manual gear selection. The seller notes a minor oil leak from the engine undertray.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, all-weather front and rear floor mats, and a branded title. The CARFAX report notes a lemon law/buyback issuance in July 2007.
The seller would like you to know: “This car is a head turner, especially when the engine rumble is heard. It is a great highway cruiser, making light work of long trips. This has been a great car during my ownership, making mundane trips an event. It has always been garaged, never in snow (under my watch). This is a great opportunity to own a rare classic, the likes of which will likely never be made again.”

This car is an insane value, given it's limited production/import numbers and performance envelope. I'd put this CL65 up against any other stock CL65's for appearance and performance. It is really nice. I'm confident the future owner will be very pleased with their purchase.

Suspension performs as intended, no sagging/sitting. Nose raise feature also works properly. Thanks
How is the suspension working? Any sagging after sitting?
@ilikecarstoomuch Pics added. The turbos are basically inaccessible without major disassembly. The pics I do have are through my endoscopy and not very useful. The first two turbo pics are of driver left, the others of driver right. Both turbos have a small bit of oil evidence where drain line is mounted...otherwise dry. The main oil evidenced on undertrays looks to be from a leaking drain plug. The drain plug is near the hole in the front undertay and leaked oil has mostly worked it's way rearward, as seen in pics. Hopefully this is helpful.
Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.
Would like to see photos of the leaks and detailed photos of the turbos please
@Bankrep40 Thank you for your inquiry. I do not have engine leak-down data. I can say it runs strong, doesn't smoke, and does not require adding engine oil
between changes.

Did you have the engine leak checks
Welcome to the auction of my CL65 AMG. This car has been a pleasure to own and drive for the last six years. In operation and appearance it is difficult to fault. You'll find it has a couple hiccups on its Carfax. First is a branded title as a Lemon Law buyback at 22,600 miles. This was due to a complaint that the transmission was slipping. This was remedied by a MB dealership and put back on the market. Today the transmission works flawlessly and has another 66k miles on it, evidence to a quality repair and a solid car. Second is a damage report in 2017 at around 77,000 miles. This, I was told by the previous owner, was from hitting a deer, necessitating the replacement of the hood, which he said took a while to arrive from Germany. The paint match is very good, I cannot see the work performed. Bid with confidence and good luck!
