Wearing grey metallic bodywork and red 17” Marchesini alloy wheels, this 2005 Ducati Supersport 1000DS is powered by an air-cooled 992cc L-twin Desmo engine with twin spark ignition. It features a 6-speed manual transmission, a two-up seat, triple Brembo brakes, adjustable suspension with an Öhlins monoshock, and dual exhaust with Termigoni carbon fiber mufflers. Purchased by the seller in 2024, this Ducati Supersport 1000DS is now being offered for auction out of Illinois with under 4k miles showing on the odometer.
The full fairing bodywork is finished in grey metallic and mounted over a silver trellis frame. Equipment includes a clear windscreen, fairing-mounted mirrors, a stepped two-up Sargent seat, a passenger grab handle, clip-on handlebars, Magneti Marelli gauges, and red Marchesini 17″ alloy wheels with older Michelin tires. The adjustable suspension includes an inverted 43mm Showa fork in front and an aluminum rear swingarm with a progressive linkage and an Öhlins monoshock. Stopping power comes from four and two-piston Brembo brake calipers with dual 320mm front discs and a single 245mm disc in the rear.
Rated at 85 HP and 64 lb.-ft of torque, the air-cooled 992cc L-twin engine features twin spark ignition, desmodromically actuated valves, and dual exhaust with slip-on Termigoni carbon fiber mufflers. The rear wheel is powered by a drive train and a 6-speed manual transmission. The seller states an oil change and timing belt service was performed in 2022.

@Bahnburner All the stickers are intact .
It is generally easier to register out of state bikes here if they have more than 7,500 miles. If not they want to see the original EPA Emissions stickers and confirm it is 50 state compliant.

I've been looking for one of these for a while. The 1000DS is a great engine, one of the best of the air cooled desmo engines. Too bad it doesn't have more miles! It will be hard to get it registered here in California :(
