The Volkswagen Golf R32 is a performance-oriented variant of the Mk4 Golf, launched in 2002, equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.2-liter VR6 engine producing 237 horsepower, paired with VW's 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system. It stands out with performance upgrades like a lowered sport suspension, larger brakes, 18-inch OZ Aristo wheels, a dual-exit exhaust, Konig bucket seats, and a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. One of 5,000 Golf R32s produced for the U.S. market, this 2004 example is finished in Reflex Silver Metallic over a black interior and was sold new from Audi Volkswagen of Naples, Florida, where it remained under the original owner’s care until 2010. It spent time in New York, Massachusetts, Virginia, and Pennsylvania with its next three caretakers before the selling dealer’s acquisition in 2024. Showing under 48k miles on the odometer, this R32 is now being offered for auction accompanied by its original sales invoice, commemorative accessories, and press literature.
In comparison to a standard Mk4 Golf, the R32 features a more aggressive front bumper with larger honeycomb-style air intakes, side skirts, dual exhaust outlets, a rear spoiler, and larger blue brake calipers mounted behind model-specific 18” OZ Aristo wheels. This example is finished in Reflex Silver Metallic and is equipped with an electric sunroof, heated side mirrors, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a rear window wiper. The car rides on Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires from 2019. The seller describes the exterior to be in excellent condition while noting some minor imperfections including small rock chips at one corner of the hood, a small scratch on the passenger rear quarter, scuffs on the passenger door rub strip, one small scratch on a wheel spoke, and a small scratch on the passenger side mirror cover. The black interior features R32-specific Konig leather-trimmed bucket seats along with brushed aluminum trim, R-line pedals, a power sliding sunroof, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 4Motion logo shift knob. Other accessories include heated front seats, automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and the Monsoon sound system. The seller states the interior has been very well preserved apart from light signs of wear on the steering wheel and some slightly loose areas of fabric on the inner pillars. All gauges and accessories remain fully functional.
Producing 237 HP, the naturally aspirated 3.2-liter DOHC VR6 engine drives all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and a Haldex-based 4MOTION AWD system. The R32 features larger vented disc brakes than a standard Golf as well as a lowered suspension with firmer dampers and springs. The seller reports maintenance completed at 46,905 miles including an oil and filter change, a Haldex service, a new battery, and new tires.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a spare tire, the original sales invoice, an R32 pen and keychain, R32 press literature, and a clean title.

The Mark IV R32 has more bespoke features than the Mark V + it has a 6-speed manual vs. DSG so more fun to drive (I’ve owned both) but the Mark V chassis is much better/stiffer so it handles better.

I own multiple other German enthusiast cars both modern and vintage, and nothing puts a smile on my face the way the R32 does. The original 2004 ad of “Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing” was spot on! It’s the perfect package.

I am the immediate prior owner of this car and while I have no affiliation with seller, I will say that it is extremely clean and a fantastic car. I had looked for years to find the nicest example after never being able to afford one when they first came out. This was it. Prior OCD enthusiast owners, no signs of neglect, really well sorted. I only sold as I was in the middle of a construction project and often wish it was still in my garage. The new owner should not be disappointed.
I'm on my 3rd R32, bought it here on Pcar. I've never heard of a R32 watch, tell me more!

@Bay22 this car does not include the original window sticker. We only have one key fob. There is no poster scheduled to be included with this vehicle, but we could possibly work something out for the person who ends up taking this beauty home. We have two posters, an umbrella, a number of press images, a few R32 watches and many more pieces of memorabilia on display at our shop.

@willsauter Thank you! There are no modifications on the car. We have a receipt for a Haldex service at just under 47k miles. We do not have paperwork for any other notable work that has been done. The tires are Continental ExtremeContact DWS with a date code of 4719. They were installed at the same time that the Haldex service was completed.
Interior looks to be well above average - very nice. Let's see the underside. Any modifications? Any other recent maintenance? chassis work? engine mounts? Gorgeous car. What are the date codes on tires?
