In 2004, Porsche celebrated 40 years of the 911 with the release of the limited-edition 40th Anniversary 996 Carrera Coupe, known as the “40 Jahre 911.” Limited to 1,963 units, this special model features a GT Silver Metallic exterior over Grey Natural Leather interior, and includes upgrades like the front fascia from the 911 Turbo, a limited-slip differential, Sport Suspension, the X51 Power Kit, and Comfort Seats with a Power Package, along with other exclusive trim details. Showing approximately 30k miles on the odometer, this sought-after 996 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Pennsylvania..
Finished in GT Silver Metallic, the 40th Anniversary 996 features unique styling elements such as the Turbo-inspired front fascia with enlarged cooling ducts, GT3-style flared rocker panels, polished exhaust tips, and bears a special “40 Jahre 911” emblem on the rear decklid. It also has a sunroof, xenon headlights with washers, fog lights, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. It rides on 18” Carrera II lightweight wheels wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact DW Tuned tires. The seller notes a ding on the right rear quarter panel and clear coat peeling on the front bumper. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The interior showcases Grey Natural Leather upholstery with Comfort Seats featuring the Power Package. Exclusive to the 40th Anniversary Edition are aluminum-finished instrument dial rings, an Alcantara headliner, and door sills adorned with “911” insignias. Factory options include automatic climate control, cruise control, a Becker-Porsche CDR23 stereo, the Bose High-End Sound Package, and a remote 6-disc CD changer. Additionally, a Numeric Racing short-shift kit and a Rennline shifter knob have been fitted. The seller notes wear is present on the outer driver’s seat bolster and confirms all gauges and electronics are in proper working order.
The 996 40th Anniversary Edition is equipped with the Exclusive X51 Power Kit, boosting the 3.6-liter flat-six engine's output to 345 HP, a 25 HP increase over the standard model. The X51 Power Kit comprises a valvetrain upgrade, cast-aluminum intake manifolds with modified cross-sections, and a remapped engine tune. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, resulting in a 0-60 time of approximately 4.5 seconds. Standard features include Turbo radiators, a limited-slip differential, and Sport Suspension. Additional performance enhancements were made under previous ownership, which comprises a Fabspeed ECU tune, a silicon intake tube, a 997 GT3 throttle body, an IPD intake plenum, a BMC air filter, Fabspeed ceramic-coated headers, and Fister mufflers. The IMS bearing was replaced in November 2019 with components from LN Engineering, and the clutch components were also replaced at that time, along with the installation of an aluminum flywheel. The battery was replaced under current ownership.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, and a clean title.

I have #154 and drive it mutiple times a week. These cars are every bit as exciting as you'd imagine. Just a pure joy to drive and they WANT to be driven. This one looks to be a great example, and I promise whoever gets it will be VERY happy with the purchase. GLWA.

@Sunny as far as I know they are the factory wheels optioned for the 40ths. One does show a small amount of corrosion around the center cap.
The wheels and center caps seem to be in need of refinishing which seems odd given the low miles. I can't tell if they are chrome, painted or powder coated but they seem unique. Any idea what options and costs are to get this done or if new replacements are available?
@Boozer28 That’s an option for the new buyer if they want.
My father purchased the vehicle exactly how it is presented, and all of the modifications preformed only add to the driving experience.
The mods are tasteful, quality parts and all the work was performed by well known PCAR shop. Although modifications don’t add value these enhancements definitely make it a better driving experience over factory.
Not a hiccup or anything car drives great and is well presented in its current form.

@japgar1984 With the price I paid, I sure hope so LOL. The fella that runs the 40th anniversary registry said it's one of the lowest milage ones left for what that's worth. At 30k, this one has gotta be one of the lower ones too!
Bid in the amount of $9,962
@Pgwillis total score at 14k, timeless cars
Good looking car with nice mods. I would be bidding, except I just bought a 40th Anniversary with 14k miles. GLWA!
@vonmec hey thanks for the question the vehicle was purchased by my father Fred Apgar (Apcar Porsche) in nov of 22. He passed away suddenly before taking delivery of the vehicle. My family took delivery of the car in Jan/23 and the car was in storage from jan/23-june/24.
Car was trailered from north Jersey to Pa to climate controlled storage and than from storage to my garage. Car received fresh fluids and a new battery in June 24
We have only put 100 miles on the vehicle taking my kids for ice cream locally.
nvm - i looked up the info on your previous bat listing
how long has the seller owned the car and how many miles did they drive it?
