Up for auction is this 2004 Porsche 996 GT3 finished in Basalt Black Metallic over a black leather interior.  Equipped with a legendary Mezger flat-six engine along with an extremely eye-catching silhouette, the 2004 GT3 represents one of the most highly regarded and collectible water-cooled Porsche’s on the market today.  It is now being offered for auction out of Puerto Rico with just 36k miles showing on the odometer.

Finished in Basalt Black Metallic, this example is said to be in very well maintained condition with a recent application of ceramic coating over the entire exterior of the vehicle.  In 2018, the current owner commissioned an entire professional refinishing of the exterior. This was due to minor damage on the right rear fender and rock chips on the front hood.  A few key exterior details include a fixed rear spoiler, revised front bumper, side skirts, and a set of iconic 18” alloy 996 GT3 wheels that wear 2017 dated Michelin Tires.

Inside, you will find a black leather interior that is said to remain in nice overall condition with some wear on the front seats.  Please view the detailed images in the photo gallery.  A few key features include Recaro racing seats with Porsche crests, an aluminum pedal set and a 3-spoke leather steering wheel.  All gauges and functions are said to be in working order.

This GT3 is equipped with the desirable GT1-derived Mezger flat-six engine.  This naturally aspirated 3.6 L power plant sends approximately 380 HP to the rear wheels by way of a fluid 6-speed manual gearbox.  0-60 is achieved in approximately 4.5 seconds while reaching a top speed north of 190 MPH.  Commonly regarded as one of the best modern 911’s to drive, Road Scholars asserts that the 996 GT3 remains..."the truest to the earlier air-cooled sport purpose models.”  Reported to be up to date on all scheduled service, this GT3 underwent a fluid and filter change last year with less than 200 miles driven since.  It is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.

The sale will include two keys, books, service records and a Carfax report.

@zf no water damage and no rust whatsoever. The only repair it will need is the Recaro seats leather and eventually the headlights because of the internal wires losing the insulation.

@jccaro No I don't, I bought the car with the Recaro's on it.

  • LuisR (seller) 4 years, 6 monthsago

@IndianaJones Yes all the exterior respray done, all original panels retained except the rear bumper cover, there was no damage to the bumper structure. The car has been service by Euromecanico and Garaje Europa(dealership) and records are available.

  • Mullypronw (registered bidder) 4 years, 6 monthsago

How does shipping get handled to receive the vehicle from a Puerto Rico to the continental US?

  • IndianaJones (registered bidder) 4 years, 6 monthsago

    Hello,

Are there any photos of the previous damage? Was a complete exterior respray done? Also, who has serviced the car, and are the service records available? Lastly, does the retain all of its original body panels, has the bumper been replaced or simply resprayed?

    Thanks
    Richard

Do you have the original sport seats?

  • LuisR (seller) 4 years, 6 monthsago

Hello! Please feel free to contact me with any questions. This vehicle is super fun and exciting and is in great conditions with low mileage. I am selling it to make room in the garage for my wife’s Macan Turbo.
