Now available for auction is this 2004 Porsche 996 Carrera 4S Cabriolet finished in Seal Grey Metallic over a black full leather interior. The range-topping Carrera model of the 996 generation, the all-wheel-drive 4S features wide bodywork and 18” wheels shared with the 911 Turbo as well as its upgraded brakes and lowered suspension. This 6-speed Cabriolet version was designated as a launch car for the 2004 model year and factory-equipped with exclusive stainless steel exhaust pipes, a painted instrument panel, crested storage bin lid, supple leather seats, and Custom Tailoring (special wishes that require further communication). Currently under the care of its second owner, this 996 benefits from an upgraded IMS bearing and is now being offered for auction out of New York with just over 41k miles showing on the odometer.
This 996 comes finished in Seal Grey Metallic with a Black cabriolet top and features Turbo-style bumpers, wide fenders, and a rear reflector band between the taillights unique to the Carrera 4S model. Factory exclusive stainless steel exhaust pipes are equipped along with optional bi-xenon headlamps. The 18” Turbo-Look wheels come dressed in a set of Sumitomo GTR ZIII tires. The CARFAX report shows minor rear-end damage to have occurred in 2015, and the owner states the rear bumper cover was refinished as a result. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a full CARFAX report.
The black full leather interior is accented by an optional painted instrument panel and features supple leather upholstery for the front and rear seats. The storage bin lid features an embossed Porsche crest, and the Bose High-End Sound Package comes equipped along with automatic climate control, heated front seats, and a 6-disc CD changer. A complete list of factory options is provided below:
The naturally aspirated 3.8L flat-six engine produces up to 315 HP and drives all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Stopping power is handled by a Turbo-derived braking system including red-painted fixed four-piston calipers paired with ventilated and cross-drilled discs at all corners. The CARFAX report includes 26 maintenance records dating back to the original pre-delivery inspection, including replacements of the coolant, differential fluid, and transmission fluid at 24,789 miles. The IMS bearing is said to have been upgraded and an aftermarket spin-on oil filter adapter was installed under prior ownership.
This sale will include the original owner's manuals and a clean title.

Thank you. No leaks. Parked in my garage, and never a spot on the ground.
Very Nice 996 example, any leaks that you are aware of presently?

Hi. I’ve owned the car since 2017. Regarding the dead pedal, the aluminum cover was installed by the original owner. It looks like a Rennlist, but I don’t know that it’s that brand.
Is that a Rennline aluminum dead peddle screwed onto the footrest?

Underside photos as well as a new video have been added to the listing page.
A walk around video demonstrating the top going up and down, rear deck spoiler operation and coldstart would also be appreciated. Thank you
Detailed photos beneath the car would be very helpful… thanks.
@8pxCkr It was upgraded, it's mentioned twice in the write-up.
Nice cab, honestly presented. Original clutch to your knowledge? Assume IMS bearing has not been addressed? Thanks
