Now available for auction is this 2003 Mercedes-Benz R170 SLK 32 AMG Kompressor finished in Black over a black leather interior. The SLK 32 AMG was the first AMG-tuned SLK model and is well regarded for its impressive performance, refinement, and supercharged V6 engine. The seller reports 2056 examples to have been built for the U.S. market with only 592 made for the 2003 model year. Showing approximately 39k miles traveled from new, this increasingly collectible SLK 32 AMG is now being listed by its selling dealer out of New Jersey.
The Black finish is said to be well-presented, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery. Notable visual differences compared with the standard SLK model include more aggressive front and rear bumpers with larger air intakes, a subtle trunk lip spoiler, oval exhaust tips, and 17” light-alloy wheels. The convertible hardtop is said to have been recently serviced at a Mercedes dealer to ensure proper working order.
Inside, the black leather interior is reported to be in very nice condition with all gauges and accessories said to be fully functional. Unique features include heavily bolstered sport seats with headrests logos, AMG-specific instrument dials, and a revised steering wheel.
The 3.2 L supercharged "Kompressor" V6 engine under the hood develops 349 HP and 332lb.-ft of torque, which is sent through a five-speed 5G-Tronic “SpeedShift” automatic transmission to the rear wheels. The sprint from 0 to 60 MPH is accomplished in approximately five seconds. Other performance features unique to this AMG version include larger brakes, specially calibrated gear ratios, and a sport-tuned suspension with ESP. This R170 is said to be in fantastic driving condition for its next owner with its most recent service carried out in January of 2021 in preparation for sale. A partial history of maintenance is provided on CARFAX.
This sale will include a clean title and owner's manuals. An ideal everyday sports car for any driving enthusiast, this SLK 32 offers incredible value.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the bids, well wishes and comments. It’s been an exciting week as always. I've always thought these cars were undervalued for so long, nice ones are certainly getting harder and harder to find. Other than the leather shrinkage on the inside of the top, the car is very nice. I'd imagine a good upholstery shop could rectify that in an afternoon at a nominal cost. The car drives amazing, pulls strong and the power folding hardtop was just fixed and serviced at Open Road Mercedes prior to listing it here. Cosmetically, the exterior is stunning. Glossy black paint and it will be expertly detailed, PRD'd and touched up prior to delivery to the potential winner. My standard practice for all deliveries.
Best of luck,
The Dude

I have owned this car since 6/10
It has been a great low maintenance car. It is Mercedes best kept secret
and it has the best power to weight
ratio of all of their amg cars. It is truly
their best kept secret. If you add a kleemann package to it you will drop your 0-60 to 3.6 seconds an no one will be able to catch you. Stay safe

@Coventry2 Great question, No clue. Looks like some warpage due to something. I'll post more pictures tomorrow.
Hi
Very Interesting car. Looking at picture number 36, it appears the headliner is pulling away or fraying from the passenger and front . Can you post a better picture perhaps and explain what you think maybe happening or causing that to happen. Thank you
Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Michael but you may call me, ‘The Dude.” It’s my pleasure to represent this 2003 SLK 32. I've sold over 70 cars on Bring and Trailer and I'm excited for my first listing here @Pcarmarket. Most of you are far more knowledgeable on this model than I am, so I do invite your feedback. While I list and sell a little bit of everything, my specialty is in Japanese modern classics. I check my email and listings frequently throughout the day so feel free to ask questions and I will try to promptly get you an answer. If you are the winner, I will gladly assist you with shipping arrangements as I do this on a daily basis.

@bpeverest
Great questions, I'll happily make sure the radio code comes with the purchase along with the lower seat switch. Not sure what "headliner" you're referring to.
Best of luck
How is such a low mile example missing so many details? Both lower seat switches, the rolling cover above the lighter/console storage, the headliner, and the original SLK32 AMG embroidered floor mats....Does the radio code at least come with?
Your figures are incorrect. The total
production for the US and Canada was 1279 for the 2002,2003 add 2004 Years. Your car is one of 500 for 2003.
The inside is not black it is charcoal
Stay safe
