Featuring a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, this 2002 Porsche 996 Turbo Coupe is finished in Guards Red over a Black full leather interior. It came factory-optioned with heated supple leather seats, Porsche-crested headrests, aluminum gear knob and handbrake trim, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM). The car has also been modified with a sport shifter, an X-pipe cat-less exhaust system, EvoMS bypass valves, a Vivid Racing ECU tune, 19” SSR GT3 wheels, an Aerokit front spoiler, and a Strosek rear wing. Showing approximately 68k miles on the odometer, this 996 Turbo is now being offered for auction by its owner out of New York.
Finished in Guards Red, this 996 has been customized with a larger Aerokit front lip spoiler, a painted Strosek rear wing, and three-piece 19” SSR GT3 wheels with polished outer lips. Other equipment includes bi-xenon headlamps, integrated fog lights, clear side marker lights, heated power mirrors, side air intakes, an electric sunroof, red brake calipers, and polished quad exhaust tips. The seller indicates a two-stage paint correction was recently performed followed by an application of graphene coating. Some minor rock chips and touch-ups are noted on the front bumper as well as imperfections on the wheels. The CARFAX report shows accident damage in 2002 which is said to have resulted in the replacement of the rear bumper.
The Black full leather interior features optional heated and power-operated supple leather seats with Porsche-crested headrests and lumbar support. Other factory equipment includes a black Alcantara headliner, automatic climate control, cruise control, a Bose sound system, Porsche Communication Management (PCM), and optional aluminum trim for the gear knob and brake handle. The seller states an aftermarket sport shifter has been installed, some wear is present on the center console, and a blemish is on the dashboard near the registration sticker. All accessories and electronics are said to be fully functional.
Rated at 415 HP and 415 lb.-ft of torque stock, the twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine has been modified with a cat-less X-pipe exhaust system, EvoMS bypass valves, and a Vivid Racing ECU tune for a claimed output of over 500 HP. All four wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual gearbox. The seller indicates the rear wing hydraulics have been rebuilt, the engine and transmission mounted have been recently replaced, and the drivetrain fluids have been flushed along with new spark plugs. The seller adds that there is no check engine light, although the car may not pass emissions inspections in some states due to the exhaust modifications.
This sale will include a clean title. The CARFAX report shows a potential odometer discrepancy which is said to have resulted from a clerical error when converting miles to kilometers. The seller is in the process of having the CARFAX report officially amended.

Any dyno pre and post the Ecu tune?

@Griffinz1 the whole exhaust was changed to catlles x pipe exhaust with dual tips.
Rooks/oem is not on it and no longer have it unfortunately.
The dual tip x pipe is the current exhaust on the car, same as in videos.
Regarding Exhaust tips
Look Picture 9 oval exhaust vs. 10,11 & 12 which have dual exhaust & different license plate.

@GT4Driver it wont throw cel with either exhaust catted or current one....all monitors are active and in ready state
@seller, random question but given the setup/tune of the car do you know if a CEL would be triggered if I threw on a catted exhaust to pass emissions? If not, any chance you have a catted exhaust laying around for temporary use? ;)

@GT4Driver Yes it is...previous PO was amazing, true porsche enthusiast.
At this point the clutch just chatters idk if one of previous owner put single amss flywheel. I asked on multiple porsche groups and they said.
"Typical metzger noise"
"if it doesnt slip dont worry about it"
"Does it have aftermarket clutch?"
Like I mentioned it drives normal and doesnt slip besides some chatter when clutch is depressed.

Beautiful car! 2 questions, is this the car from Turn 1 I saw years back? If so, I remember watching the video on it and being in a state of awe with the tune. On the linked YT channel here, there's a video that mentions this cars clutch chatter at idle. Has that been resolved or determined what needs to be fixed? Thanks!
