For the 2002 model year, the Porsche 911 Carrera underwent a facelift, incorporating refreshed styling and a larger 3.6-liter engine. Finished in Black over a matching interior, this facelifted 996 Carrera Coupe equips a 6-speed manual transmission along with optional Porsche Stability Management, the Advanced Technic Package, the Design Package, and leather Sport Seats. This 996 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California with approximately 75k miles showing on the odometer.
The "996.2" redesign included a redesigned front fascia with headlights inspired by the 911 Turbo of the time. This Coupe is presented in Black and showcases Bi-Xenon headlamps included in the Advanced Technic Package. Enhancements consist of H&R lowering springs, a GT3TEK front lip, and custom black-finished multi-spoke wheels with Michelin tires from 2020. Detailed images are available in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black interior features leather Sport Seats, black floor mats with Porsche lettering, and the Advanced Technic Package which includes high-pressure headlight cleaners, and a Bose audio system. The optional Design Package (P71) adds an aluminum inlay for the shift knob, aluminum-look instrument surround, and door entry guards in stainless steel. An aftermarket Bluetooth module was installed under previous ownership, and the seller notes the driver’s side window regulator is beginning to exhibit signs of wear.
Updated with a higher displacement for the 2002 model year, this 996 Carrera features a 3.6-liter flat-six engine that sends up to 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH is achieved in approximately 5 seconds while reaching a top speed of over 175 MPH. Equipment includes optional Porsche Stability Management and an aftermarket Top Gear cat-back exhaust system featuring an x-pipe design and 200-cell high-flow catalytic converters.
This sale will include a clean title, a factory sunshade, and an aftermarket 996 car cover.
The seller would like you to know: “Clean title 996 Carrera coupe with a 6-speed manual transmission. I have owned this car for 2 years and driven it just under 4000 miles. Recently, my driving needs have changed, prompting me to consider parting ways with it. Throughout my ownership, the car has performed impeccably. Notably, it features tasteful performance enhancements including a Top Gear 200-cell catalytic converter X-pipe and a Top Gear cat-back exhaust. These modifications provide an exhilarating sound under throttle while maintaining a refined idle, comparable in noise levels to a stock 996 Carrera. This 996 Carrera has been a joy to own, offering great driving dynamics that will be missed, but my current schedule does not permit me the time to enjoy it as much as I would like.”

@9NEIN1 tires are 4 years old in like new shape. Clutch is unknown works great the pedal feels kind of heavy like it might be aftermarket possibly? Not sure brakes have plenty of life left on them.
Also, if/when was the clutch done and what’s the age one wear on brakes and tires ?
I think getting the IMS done would really help you move the car and likely pay for itself. I’m somewhere above the last bid and below your ask with it done.
Is offer declined or accepted?

@jnduda yes everything works as it should I replaced the driver side window regulator a few days ago so that is good to go.
@motofabio yes I can get the oem downpipes installed if need be for ca smog. I kept them for that reason.
Does everything else besides the window work correctly; AC cold?
Bid in the amount of $10,500
@Nwt88 thank you for the reply!
@Wmcnair I have no record of if the ims bearing has ever been replaced.
IMS been done?
Bid in the amount of $10,000
Just to be clear, will you be mounting the stock catalytic converters so that it can pass CA smog? A recent smog cert would go a long way to make a CA buyer (me) comfortable bidding.
Leaving a update on the car I had realized that the coat hook interior trim was missing on the driver side you can see it in the pictures. I have one on order from the dealership and will be installed before the car is sold. Thanks!

@Bilinski4447 the oem catalytic converters would have to be re installed. They can be re installed if sold in California.
Being a CA car , does it pass Smog inspection given the exhaust modification?
@gwistrup I can get some pictures of the undercarriage in the next day or so.
@gwistrup I have no record of the ims ever being replaced. I have the stock catalytic converters. The oem mufflers were sold. The car came with the h&r springs So I do not have the oem springs.
I don’t see any mention of it, when was the IMS last replaced?
Do you have any of the stock components such as the springs or exhaust? Was your video taken at a cold start? Could you add some undercarriage pictures?
