Up for auction is this 2002 Porsche 996 Carrera 4 Cabriolet finished in Basalt Black Metallic. In 2002, the Porsche 996 Carrera received major updates including a revised front fascia with new Turbo-style headlights as well as a larger and more powerful 3.6L engine. At an original sticker price of over $96k, this 2002 example came optioned with a premium black full leather interior, flared rocker panels, the Advanced Technic Package, and 18” light alloy Carrera wheels. It has also undergone a considerable amount of recent service including a new soft top, clutch kit, rear main seal, water pump, expansion tank, and upgraded IMS bearing with direct oil feed. Showing approximately 34k miles on the odometer, this 6-speed 996 is now being offered for auction by its third owner out of Florida.
This Carrera 4 comes finished in Basalt Black Metallic with a matching black cabriolet top and factory exclusive GT3-style flared rocker panels (X76). The soft top was replaced within the last year along with the hydraulic cylinders, and the exterior has recently been fully detailed including a paint correction and ceramic coating. The front bumper was previously refinished for cosmetic purposes and a minor rear-end accident occurred under previous ownership in September of 2020 resulting in the replacement of the rear bumper and left-side taillight. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a full CARFAX report. This Carrera 4 rides on factory 18” light alloy Carrera wheels dressed in a set of Continental ExtremeContact tires dated from 2019 in front and 2020 in the rear.
Inside, you will find a black full leather interior with heated and power-operated seats. The optional Advanced Technic Package adds high-pressure headlamp cleaners, projector-beam xenon headlights, and an 11-speaker Bose audio system with a remote CD changer. The cabin is described to have been very well cared for and the seller reports all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.
This second-generation 996 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.6L flat-six engine that sends as much as 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. An upgraded IMS bearing with direct oil feed has been installed and other recent service items are said to include the installation of a new clutch and rear main seal, a new coolant expansion tank, water pump, low-temp thermostat, drive belt, air filters, and a brake fluid flush.
This sale will include a clean title. Now is your chance to get behind the wheel of a thoroughly serviced Porsche 996 with low miles, do not miss out.

@N1cavu Thanks for your questions and comments. It has two keys, some service records from the previous owner and myself including the current work that was just performed (clutch, RMS, IMS DOF). Owners manual is with the vehicle as well.
I notice there is no mention as to owners manual and service records, regarding invoices, how many keys and documentation . 1000 apologies if I have overlooked this informatrion. Very nice example of a cab that we are interested in. GLWTA.
