The second generation of the Dodge Viper RT/10 “SR II” was introduced in 1996. It brought several updates over the original model, including aluminum suspension, increased horsepower, and a removable hardtop roof. Among the final year of the SRII, this 2002 example comes finished in Race Yellow over black leather upholstery. Features include an 8.0-liter V10 engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential, 17” aluminum alloy tri-spoke wheels, an independent suspension, a removable hardtop, and more. Showing just over 4k miles on the odometer, this Viper is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
The second-generation Viper closely resembles the original version, with the most significant change being the exhaust position moved from the sides to the rear of the car. This RT/10 comes finished in RaceYellow with a painted removable roof panel incorporating “double bubble” reliefs for racing helmets. The equipment includes front fog lamps, a rear center-exit exhaust, a NACA-ducted hood, and chrome 18″ five-spoke wheels wrapped in Michelin tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, you will find a Black leather interior equipped with an Alpine radio head unit, air conditioning, and power windows and door locks. Features also include tinted windshield glass, a leather-wrapped steering column, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage mounted above the center stack. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are confirmed to be in proper working order.
Powered by an 8.0-liter OHV V10, the Viper sends up to 400 HP and 465 lb.-ft. of torque to its rear wheels through a Tremec T-56 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH is factory-rated at approximately 4.3 seconds. Equipment includes power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, four-wheel independent suspension, and four-wheel ventilated disc brakes. No outstanding maintenance items have been reported.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a toolkit and a spare tire.
The seller would like you to know: “I acquired this Dodge Viper with just 3,600 miles. The previous owner, an elderly gentleman, rarely used the car, so it remained in the garage for many years. The car is in immaculate condition!”

@Carguy28 No blemishes at all for sure, I believe on the rear location is a little dirt, because on the picture day we drove the car with a set floor...
Yes the AC blows cold air, all lights work perfectly.
Any scrapes under the front spoiler? Do you have any pictures of the undercarriage you can post?
Bid in the amount of $35,000
PPDPORSCHE56- Does everything work as supposed to, AC blow cold, all lights etc?
I see a few blemishes on the rear above the exhaust, are there any others in the paint? Also since you’re a dealer, are you able to provide a temporary plate? Thanks in advance
PPDPORSCHE56-thanks for answering, appreciate it. Great looking car.
@Car90902019 Thank you for the compliments ,....This car is really on the very nice level !!
Tks
@StuM Good to know, for sure you have a good taste of cars : ) I love this color for Viper !!!
Thank you
@Carguy28 When the car is in my collection , I don't need to register the car, because Im a dealer and the car is possible to be open Tittle and use the car for shows and car events , .......
Like I,m answer a question for Car90902019 is the same answer to you..., yes I use and maintenance the car ....
@Car90902019 I turn the car on every week and drive it 3 times per month. I'm a car collector and don't like to put miles in my collectible cars. Also, every 4 months I change the engine oil and check the fluids . I keep the engine in perfect condition by only using pure 103 fuel on my cars .
This viper is one of the best on the country and on the market today I’ve seen a few vipers for sale on pca but not on this condition. I have one question, can you tell me about the maintenance records? Thank you
Bid in the amount of $20,000
@PPDPORSCHE56- seems like the last time the car was registered was in 2008, has it been sitting since then? Has it been used at all ? Any fluids changed or maintenance done?
Had this exact car, bought new in ‘02. A hot, vile, unruly beast. Thus, FUN!
