This 2001 Porsche 996 Carrera 4 Cabriolet comes finished in Rainforest Green Metallic over a Savanna Beige full leather interior and features a 6-speed manual transmission sending power to all four wheels. This Carrera 4 was configured at an original sticker price of over $102k including a Light Maplewood steering wheel, the Heated Front Seats Package, the Comfort Package, the Technic Package, and 18” Light Alloy Turbo-Look wheels. Cared for by three prior owners, this 996 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Illinois while showing approximately 51k miles on the odometer.
The 996 Carrera 4 was the last all-wheel-drive 911 to feature narrow bodywork and is distinguishable from a standard Carrera by its silver-colored brake calipers. This example comes finished in Rainforest Green Metallic, an uncommon color that was only offered between 2000 and 2002. Equipment includes a removable painted hardtop, a retractable black cabriolet roof, a speed-activated rear spoiler, Litronic bi-xenon headlights, and optional 18” Light Alloy Turbo-Look wheels. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, this 996 features Savanna Beige full leather upholstery complemented by a leather-covered center air vent and ignition lock surround as well as a Light Burr Maple steering wheel, gear knob, and handbrake lever. Other features include heated and power-operated front seats, power windows and mirrors, automatic climate control, a central locking system, and a Porsche CDR-220 stereo. Some cracks are noted on the wooden steering wheel and gear & brake handle trim pieces.
A naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft torque to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in approximately 5 seconds while stopping power is handled by fixed 4-piston brakes and cross-drilled discs at each corner. The CARFAX report shows 31 maintenance history records including the most recent service entry in May 2023.
This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title.

I orderd a 2000 Boxster S with these same color and interior options. On waitlist for almost 3 years to take delivery of the first BOXSTER S sold and delivered west of the Mississippi. B E A U T I F U L color combination. at the time the Rainforrest green color upgrade was over $8,000. Exceptional and rare color combo in my humble opinion.
@tomt69 Thanks! It’s stunning in person!
