Acceleration from 0-60 MPH is reached in approximately 5 seconds and stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes and cross-drilled discs at each corner. The seller highlights the following service items, with documentation provided in the gallery.
This sale will include a clean title, owner's manuals, a window sticker, OEM Porsche car cover, 3 keys including valet key, service records, and a spare tire with a jack.
The seller would like you to know: “This is a wonderful, low-mile example of the 996.1, C2 narrow body, cabriolet, 6-speed. It has been meticulously maintained and well-loved by its four owners. It has always been garaged and never purposefully driven in the rain. It runs, drives, and stops as you'd expect a Porche 911 to. The soft top functions 100%. I have both keys & fobs, as well as a valet key. All manuals and many receipts are included. This car is ready to go have fun in. You will not need to worry about fixing anything. You will get random and regular compliments from strangers about your 911. The PCCM clone is a nice upgrade over the non-Bluetooth stock radio. I am only selling to help fund the purchase of my grail car... a 911 turbo.”

It didn't meet the reserve but we were pretty close. If a serious buyer wants to come to my home in Lithia Springs Ga. to see the car in person and maybe test drive it, we can set that up. Please no low-ballers, tire-kickers or time-wasters though. Come correct.
It's the final countdown! If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. I'll be here watching the auction until it ends. Thanks for watching and bidding.
@PCARMARKET_MODERATOR Thank you for mentioning that. There are a few different methods of upgrading the IMS bearing but there's only one that never needs servicing. My Porsche 911 has is the IMS solution by LN engineering. https://imssolution.com/ It is a permanent, oil fed fix. All other IMS upgrades are temporary repairs that require service intervals. The IMS solution kit by LN Engineering is almost $2000 plus installation cost. The kit also swaps the OEM pleated oil filter with a convenient spin-on filter that can be bought at any local parts store. The repair was professionally done (see receipt) & has been registered at LN Engineering.
This listing has been updated to clarify that a replacement IMS bearing with an oil-fed solution has been installed.
I few things that were omitted in the listing...
The grey OEM Porsche car cover is included.
The ceramic coating is warrantied for 8 years (until 2032) by Atlanta Auto Aesthetics.
The drivers seat has memory functions.
The "wind deflector" is folded up and stored in the spare tire canvas cover in the front trunk.
There is a microphone located just above the rear view mirror for phone calls through the new touch screen stereo unit.
@dranon Thanks! I love this color combo too. When searching for my 1st Porsche 911, I came across so many silver, grey, black and white cars with the light tan or black interior. I was not really feeling those colors. I wanted a 911 that was outside the norm. This Orient red metallic paint with the darker optional "natural brown leather" is the perfect combination. This is also my 1st cabriolet. After owning a cab, I will never buy another coupe. There's nothing like dropping the top on a beautiful day and going for a ride.
Gotta love this color and interior combo! Orient red is so pretty and pictures do not do it justice! If I did not have a turbo already I would totally be into this one! I think I knew the original owner...
Bid in the amount of $30,001
Hi all! I am the owner here to answer any questions. The folks at Pcarmarket do a great job of putting together these auctions. Thanks to them.
The quick story... I'm 58 and have always wanted a Porsche and a convertible. Last year I started looking at boxsters due to cost but after test driving some and not being thrilled with the power, I knew I needed a 911.
The 996 is a fantastic value in the 911 world right now. Although, their values are slowly creeping up. I test drove a few local 996's in the low $20k's with varying issues that owners tried to hide. AC not blowing cold, Cabriolet top not going up and down correctly, worn tires etc etc.
Then, I saw this beautiful 996 on autotrader. The owner was very receptive to questions and sent me all his recent receipts. All the preventative maintenance had been done so I knew it wouldn't have have a bunch of issues. I went to test drive it and knew immediately that this was going to be my 1st Porsche.
I paid UP for it but I am glad I did because I have driven it for almost 4k trouble free miles. It is an absolute joy to drive and own. I have taken it to the Caffeine and Octane car show in Atlanta a few times and it never fails to attract some attention. When the car is closed up overnight and you slide into it the next day. the $5k optional "natural brown leather" still smells new. No smoking ever in this car. I have never done a burnout or beat on the car. But I have enjoyed 100mph blasts on the highway and driving the curvy mountain roads in North Georgia. It is a really fun car. The funds of the sale will go toward my grail car... a 911 turbo.
