Up for auction is this 2001 Chevrolet Corvette C5 Z06 finished in Black over a black interior. Deriving its namesake from the original high-performance Z06 C2 of the 1960s, the C5-generation Z06 was debuted in 2001 with a powerful LS6 V8 engine and was only available with a 6-speed manual transmission. The Z06 achieves significant weight savings over the standard C5 using a titanium exhaust, special lightweight wheels, reduced noise insulation, and thinner glass. This first-year example is said to have been under the care of the same owner from new while spending most of its time stored away in their garage. With just over 15k miles showing on the odometer, this Z06 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Tennessee accompanied by the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, and sales documentation.
This Corvette is finished in Black and features pop-up headlights, a fixed roof panel, and functional brake cooling ducts in the rocker panels. The finish is reported to be nicely presented and with only a few very small rock chips on the front end and a tiny scratch on the front Corvette license plate holder. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. Factory optional side moldings are equipped along with OEM GM Speedline Z06 wheels finished in Argent Grey with Michelin Pilot Sport tires showing date codes from 2011.
Inside, this Corvette features a black interior with the optional memory package, electrochromic mirrors, and color-keyed floor mats. Standard amenities include heated exterior mirrors, dual-zone electronic A/C, leather-trimmed seating surfaces, a rear window defogger, and a power-operated driver’s seat. The seat bushings and door lock relays are said to have been recently replaced, two common failure points on this model. The seller also confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.
The Z06 uses a specially adapted version of the GM LS1 engine designated as the LS6. This 5.7L V8 power plant generates up to 385 HP and 385 lb.-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The Z06 weighs in at just over 3,100 lbs. and can accelerate from 0-60 MPH in as little as 4.3 seconds while covering the quarter-mile in 12.7 seconds. The car is said to have always been serviced through the original selling GM dealership and several records are provided on CARFAX.
This sale will include a set of three keys and two remote fobs, the original owner's manuals, window sticker, sales documents, and a clean title. The most high-performance Corvette of its day, this Z06 has been carefully maintained and cherished by its original owner from new. Do not miss out on this incredible value.

No issues with climate display, Ebcm, etc. We as the door lock relays rebuilt, and replaced the passenger window regulator. Tires are early 2011 Michilen Pilots. All systems functioning as they should. Clutch and slave feel Amazing. Truthfully one of the best C5’s I’ve ever driven.
Any issues ever with the climate display? EBCM? I see the vehicle has been hardly used but those solder joint failures can happen over time. Clutch master and slave cylinder holding up good? Does this have HUD? Valve springs weren't really an issue on these 01 models so thats good. Original date coted tires I presume?
