It is our pleasure to present this low-mileage 2001 BMW E52 Z8 finished in Jet Black over a Crema soft leather interior. Originally developed to celebrate the design of the BMW 507 of the 1950s, the Z8 roadster was offered at a base price of $128k when new and features lightweight aluminum construction, a 6-speed manual gearbox, and a powerful S62 V8 engine borrowed from the E39 M5. With approximately 2,500 examples delivered to the U.S., the Z8 has become a true collector’s item since its debut, having also been showcased as James Bond’s car in the 1999 film The World Is Not Enough. This 2-owner 2001 example shows just over 13k miles on the odometer and is now being offered for auction in excellent condition by its seller out of Florida accompanied by original accessories and a clean title.
The Jet Black exterior is said to be in nearly flawless condition with a recent paint correction carried out and clear protection film applied over the forward half of the front end. The black soft top and removable painted hardtop are also said to be in great shape. A small air bubble is depicted under the protective film, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX. Designed by Henrik Fisker, the Z8 wears lightweight aluminum bodywork that evokes the styling of the BMW 507. The Z8 also utilizes unique neon exterior lighting components which were intended to last the lifetime of the vehicle. This example retains its factory 18” double spoked forged light-alloy wheels that come dressed in Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport tires.
Inside, you will find a Crema soft leather interior that remains in outstanding condition. The cabin highlights classic styling and driver-oriented features including simplified multifunction controls, a Sport steering wheel with chrome spokes, 6-way electrically adjustable sport seats, and a center-mounted instrument panel canted slightly toward the left seat. Factory features specified for this example include remote keyless entry, an auto-dimming interior mirror, a radio with navigation and multi-information display, a 10-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, and a Motorola digital cellular phone. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional.
The M5-derived S62 4.9 L V8 engine features dual-VANOS variable valve timing, individual throttle bodies, aluminum construction, and an output of 394 HP and 369 lb.-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission allowing for a 0-60 time of approximately 4.5 seconds and a top speed governed at 155 MPH. Other performance features include a lightweight aluminum spaceframe, M Driving Dynamic Control, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), 4-wheel ventilated disc brakes, and All-Season Traction (ASC) with limited-slip differential. All routine maintenance is said to have been addressed including a recent fuel injection and cooling system service by Braman BMW.
This sale will include the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, first aid kit, the original Motorola phone, a boot cover, and a clean title. This 13k-mile Z8 makes a perfect addition to any world-class car collection, do not let this opportunity pass you by.

I own this identical car in a 2002 with 22K miles and I can attest of all the cars in my modest collection, this is the one that always makes me smile when I drive it. Unlike the older collectibles, the modern handling and reliability remove the unwanted portion of the "excitement" from weekend cruising, and it is actually practical to use it as a daily to take to work from time to time.
This color combo is 1 of 331 cars made out of a total production run from 2000-2003 of 5,702 cars. At this price, it's still cheap and is a good investment, IMHO. Check out www.BMWZ8.us for more info on these amazing cars. There is a great community of owners there that I've found to be extremely helpful.
Thank you angd good luckto all bidders. No Collection is complete without one of these iconic BMW Z8s.
i am available to answer any and all questions. i can tell you that this car will sell. Between PCARmarkets' qualified buyers (apparent by the real money that's showing up) and my willingness to offer this car at a price less than any on the market with under 15 k miles (by thousands not hundreds)there will be some lucky bidder who drives away in this car. Don't let your neighbor or friend outbid you. We are already getting close to the reserve.
Don't be to slow to click the bid button. good luck to you
