Available for auction is an authentic and captivating Lotus dealership illuminated sign. Originating from a reputable dealer in the UK, this iconic showroom sign has been cherished and celebrated for the past decade under its current ownership.

At the forefront of its appeal is the sheer grandeur of the sign. Standing proudly, it commands attention with its impressive dimensions, measuring an exact 40” inches in diameter and boasting a depth of 3” inches. A true testament to the elegance and presence of the Lotus brand, this sign will undoubtedly make a bold and stunning statement in any setting.

Functioning flawlessly, the sign's internal illumination is powered by fluorescent tubes, accompanied by a UK plug for effortless operation. According to the seller, it has graced the interior of a UK showroom throughout its life, and occupied a place of honor above the gleaming cars on display.

Encased within a sleek aluminum frame, the sign exudes a sense of sophistication. While the frame exhibits a few minor chips, attributed to the bonding process, the overall condition remains nothing short of superb. The sign's front face is immaculate, devoid of any unsightly cracks or blemishes.

Recognized as a coveted gem among enthusiasts and collectors, Lotus signage is a rarity due to the limited number of dealerships and the fervent following the brand has garnered over the years. Don't miss the chance to own a genuine piece of Lotus's captivating journey - a piece that transcends time and automotive passion. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and fees.

@rindlergroup Good evening and thank you so much for getting in touch.

Please pardon me for the rather late reply as I have been attending to some urgent matters at work during the last two days.

The sign currently has a UK plug and operates on 230V - 50hz. You have raised a very prominent concern but one that can be overcome.

Traditionally, to power an electrical object or sign such as this, a device called a ‘step down converter’ would be the easiest and most cost effective way of safely powering the sign. As the voltage in the USA is lower (110V) compared to the UK and Europe (230V), the step down converter effectively does what it says and converts the voltage. These devices are safe and competitively priced (around $100) and are very easy to use.

Unfortunately I don’t possess the electric know-how with regards to what is needed to change the current wiring to suit a simple plug and play for the US, however I am reasonably confident an experienced electrician could remedy this.

I actually discovered that the US uses 50hz as well and I have heard of some folks having a UK wall socket fitted in their home. I actually did not know this until recently but I believe most homes and businesses in the US actually have 220V supply which is split evenly at the wall socket.

The other alternative is to remove the existing lighting and internal operating system and install LED lighting which is significantly cheaper to run and very effective. In fact, removing the existing lighting may not even be required if LED strip lights are used or possibly even using LED tubes which seems quite popular these days.

I do apologise for the long winded explanation and I would love to know myself how much is involved in simply being able to plug the sign in with out a converter, but sadly I can not confidently say that I know the exact answer. I do hope that I have helped in some way with the other options available.

Thank you once again for getting in touch and thank you for your patience.

    Kind regards

What would be involved to change to USA power? Thanks for your response. MR

Hello everyone and thank you for viewing this auction.

First of all I wish to say a special thank you to @herzcon for placing a bid on this special sign. My family sincerely appreciates it and we wish you all the very best in the auction.

I just want to let everyone know that worldwide shipping of this special sign is available. As of yet I have not packaged the sign as it is currently in storage, however I have listed below an estimated cost of the shipping based on the dimensions:

    UK - £100
    Europe - €350
    U.S.A. - $450

The price may vary slightly (possibly less and possibly a little more). I am always keen to make sure items are very well packaged and as a result the shipping estimation may change slightly. I always use UPS where possible and each item is fully insured against damage or loss. Furthermore, I do not charge for the actual packaging of the items as I have an abundance of packaging material in storage. The only cost would be for the actual courier itself.

If anyone has any questions please just let me know. Due to my current working and personal commitments and the time zone difference, there may be a slight delay in my response. However, I will always reply to any message as soon as I can.

Thank you once again to everyone for the interest you have shown and I wish you all the very best of success in the auction.

    Kind regards
