Up for auction is this 2000 Porsche 986 Boxster 5-speed finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Boxster Red leather interior. Introduced as Porsche’s flagship 2-seater roadster, the Boxster model offers mid-engine agility and a visceral open-air driving experience. Purchased by its current owner nearly 20 years ago from an authorized Porsche dealership, this 2-owner 2000 example makes the perfect all-around driver or beginner’s sports car. Said to have undergone proper annual maintenance, this Boxster is reported to be in great driving condition showing approximately 92k miles on the odometer.
The Arctic Silver Metallic finish is noted to be in good overall condition with some minor imperfections as outlined in the photo gallery. Exterior details include aftermarket LED headlights and factory 5-spoke alloy twist wheels which come dressed in 4-year-old Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
Inside, the driver is situated in a sporty Boxster Red leather interior. The cabin is said to be in great shape for its age with some typical signs of wear. Factory options include a CD player, cruise control and air conditioning. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional, although the air conditioning system is in need of a refresh and the roadster top has been converted to manual operation.
Featuring an increased displacement for the 2000 model year, this Boxster carries a naturally aspirated 2.7 L flat-six engine rated at 217 HP stock. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed manual transmission putting full control in the hands of the driver. The Boxster’s mid-engine design allows for a low center of gravity and near perfect weight distribution. This 2000 example has been equipped with an upgraded aftermarket exhaust system providing for increases exhaust flow and sound. After being in covered storage for the past 2 years, this Boxster was recently brought out and given a fresh battery. All routine maintenance is said to have been carried out and this Boxster is said to run very well, though an air/oil separator and a set of spark plugs are recommended.
The sale of this Boxster will include a set of two keys, the original books, service records and a car cover. Whether you’re a Porsche novice or a seasoned enthusiast, this 5-speed Boxster represents an incredible value.

@jcolucciello Understandable. How about just a video of the engine/dashboard when the car's being revved?
@timothyii88 Hi!
The clutch is original, at 45000 miles service was adjusted (if memory serves me well). As far as a video running the car we could make one around the area, however the car does not have insurance (being garaged) and the nearest highway is long ways from our house ;)
Thanks!
Hello! Do you have a video of the car and engine running/on the highway? I'm guessing that the clutch hasn't been serviced from the Carfax? Nice car by the way, definitely interested.
@rappelquist hi!
I have the maintenance book with 2 entries from Porsche dealer and Authorized mechanic in Melbourne FL (Werkshop) .
22757 miles
45003 miles (water pump + belt)
Oil/Filters changes, Tires, and brake pads were done at local outlets.
Thank you for the interest!
I see maintenance records are included in the sale. How comprehensive are the records? Can you add some photos?

@jcolucciello @jcolucciello--- thanks for the additional photos and info.
Hi andyawb,
The IMS was checked when the water pump was replaced (around 2011 or so). After that and checks during the oil changes for any metal particles It seems all good. Please keep in mind that this car was never driven regularly (at times once a month or during top-down days only)...
Prior to 2018 the oil, filter air filter cartridge were changed more times than what the Carfax shows at local outlets.
Take care and stay healthy!
Hi! Assuming by no mention of it that the original IMS bearing is still there? Also, any record of how frequently oil was changed year-to-year, other than what is in the Carfax? Thanks, nice Boxster

Hi there!
I will be happy to add/send the close-up photos you requesting (Tomorrow I will check with the site's webmaster)
Oil/Air separator: Few months before storing the car (around December 2018) I noticed a white smoke upon starting the engine, we proceeded to cap the oil return hose and the white smoke stopped. A local mechanic recommended to replace the air/oil separator if I was going to keep driving the car.
Let me know if you have any more questions :)
Greetings: Could you possibly add some close-up photos of the the trunk well looking down and a direct closer look at the dash by section? Also the seating and center console? Does the oil/air sep. cause any immediate issues such as smoke or you think it will just need to be done soon? Thanks very much.
