Up for auction is this 1999 Porsche 996 coupe. Representing the first generation of the water-cooled 911, these early 996’s have since become a significant part of modern Porsche history. Built to custom specifications, this 996 was originally delivered to an older gentleman in Pasadena where it was driven before the current owner purchased it about four years ago. Complete with a new IMS bearing and clutch, this 73k mile 996 now sports numerous custom modifications and is being offered for auction in excellent condition by its current owner in Los Angeles.
Finished in classic Arctic Silver Metallic, this garage-kept 996 exhibits minimal exterior wear, showing exceptionally well for its age. Carfax confirmed accident free, this 996 is said to boast entirely original paintwork aside from a respray of the bottom front bumper area due road-going wear. The seller would also like to note that a minor scratch is present on the driver’s side taillight and doorjamb both shown in the photo gallery. This 996 currently rides on aftermarket Fuchs-style wheels, however, the original wheels will be included in sale. Exterior modifications include red painted calipers, OEM clear side indicators, tinted taillights and several custom graphics that may be easily removed.
This 996 has been factory appointed with an exquisite Metropole blue leather interior. The owner has installed custom hound’s-tooth seat inserts, a homage to classic 911’s and a very cool personal touch. Aside from one slat missing from the left-front AC vent, this interior shows to be in excellent condition. All electrical systems and accessories are fully functional and OEM floor mats are included.
Equipped with a first generation 3.4L water-cooled flat-six engine, this 996 is capable of sending nearly 300HP to the rear wheels by way of a crisp 6-speed manual transmission. 0-60 is achieved in just under five seconds while reaching top speeds upwards of 170 mph. The engine is said to be in excellent running condition with new cylinder heads and both an IMS bearing and clutch replacement just this year. The seller states that he has averaged just about 3k miles per year and will be including maintenance records since new. This is truly a solid example of a 1999 Carrera.
Included in the sale of this clean and very well kept Carrera are 2 keys, original books, extensive maintenance records and the factory wheels. Also included will be a clean Carfax report confirming this as an accident free and well maintained vehicle. As the market for these cars heats up, such well-maintained and properly sorted examples like this one are becoming increasingly hard to come by. Do not miss your chance to own this truly wonderful ’99 Carrera.

Beautiful car! Any reason this won’t make a trip from LA to Chicago? Tire dates? Thanks for your time. Hopefully we can make a deal.
