Up for auction is this 1999 Porsche 996 Carrera Coupe finished in a custom shade of blue over a grey interior. This 6-speed 1999 example has been completely refinished and fitted with GT3-style flared rocker panels, custom front and rear fascias, an upgraded Fabspeed exhaust system, and H&R coilovers. Showing just over 76k miles on the odometer, this Carrera is now being offered for auction by its owner out of New York.
Within the last 5 years, this 996 is said to have been completely refinished in the current shade of metallic blue by D&C Auto Body. A custom rear diffuser was added along with a painted front spoiler, roof spoiler, LED taillight assemblies with F1 strobe-effect brake lights, and GT3-style flared rocker panels. Some signs of road-going wear are present, and the paint is cracked toward the left side of the rear bumper. CARFAX also shows an accident to have occurred under prior ownership in 2012. This 996 rides on 18" Turbo-look wheels dressed in a set of Kumho Ecsta tires.
Inside, this Carrera sports a grey interior with power-operated seats, a three-spoke steering wheel, a sunroof, and automatic climate control. Removable Porsche letters have been applied to the headrests and a set of aftermarket pedal covers have been installed along with aftermarket carbon fiber trim pieces and a Soundstream touchscreen radio.
This first-generation 996 Carrera is equipped with a 3.4L flat-six engine that sends 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque stock to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Upgraded Fabspeed mufflers and headers have been installed along with a K&N air intake, and the original catalytic converters have been retained. The car has also been lowered on H&R coilovers for a more aggressive stance and improved handling. The oil was changed within the last 500 miles and other recent service items are said to include new front control arms, ignition coils, and a new starter motor. There are no records of an IMS bearing replacement.
This sale will include one key and a clean title. With a desirable 6-speed manual gearbox and tasteful upgrades, this Carrera offers an excellent value for any driver in search of a Porsche 996.

@zdean808 The seller informed us and apologizes that he is unable to access the internet to answer your question directly. He did ask us to respond on his behalf.
He does not have any OEM parts for the car.

The seller states that the car is NOT running hot. He will take one more look regarding water pump/belt receipt.
Do you have the OEM parts so it could be taken back to stock?
Isn't the engine running a little too hot? Looks like the idling warmed up temp is close to 200. Any records of water pump/belt changes? Not very reassuring if no answers from seller with a car that's only owned for 6 months.

Do you know if the car was repainted over the original paint or was the later sanded down and the new paint was applied to a bare metal surface. Thank you!

I have the same suspension, exhaust and headers on mine. As soon as possible remove the kN, as it gets hot you actually loose power. The suspension makes it as sharp as a go cart. Yes the tires are not michellins, but looks like a good car. Shame that is not on original paint.
Nice 996.1. Who makes the body kit?
Nice 996.1, do you have the option code sticker that was located on the inside of the frunk? Probably removed during repaint. Do you have the owners manual? Thanks and GLWA.
